Use a cutie or a critter with a pun, the punderfully punnier the better! Word play that isn’t exactly a pun is cool too. Have pun with it! Bonus point if you use a pun/word play that starts on the front of the card and continues with a punchline inside. I didn't quite succeed in making a new sample card for this one - I'm working on this one that may or may not get stuck down: Punny encourage-mint card by jo.blackford, on Flickr But punny cards are my professional specialty (lol) so I have some older examples to share. One of my favorite cards (with bonus ear worm) Punderfully punny cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr And one that has a punchline inside: Punderfully punny cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr Punderfully punny cards by jo.blackford, on Flickr

I love puns, and those are such cute, fun cards, joblackford!
It may be a few days before I get mine made and posted, but I know exactly what I want to do.

I'm not sure this is actually a punny card, but that was the intent. My family laughed at it because lost socks are quite normal around this house! Hope it will at least count for today's card. Stocking Card joblackford, I love all your punny cards. I left love in the gallery.

Cute, nylene! The lost sock issue is a problem for everyone. I made a sock board with clothespins for my two DDILs one Christmas. I need to make one for me. It said, “Clean, single, looking for sole mate.” We love puns. I ended up with some time to play today, which was totally unexpected. This is not how I planned to do my card, since I didn’t have a lot of time. It was a definite rush job, but my youngest son, who delights in getting eye rolls with his puns, is going to love it. The front: And the inside:

All your critter cards--and even the mint one--are PUNderful, joblackford! Love the bright happy colours, too that would brighten anyone's day. I left love for the perfect pair card on Flickr, nylene. Don't be surprised if you see a lift of that one really soon (I need an anniversary card for November). And scrapnnana, your sock board sounds like a really fun item to hang in a laundry room. Love the transformation of Dracula from front to middle of your card. Cute.

Oh, I love that Dictionary - I have had my eye on that stamp, so cute! I love your paper choices too. Or is that bottom one stamped rather than a patterned paper?

Linda, this is so cute. I love the little hedgehog image. Fun play on words. I've never seen a hedgehog but they look so cute. Of course I think little raccoons are cute and my husband hates all the damage they do on the Golf Course. LOL He doesn't think they are cute!

nylene - Thank you! real life hedgehogs are adorable also - we had them in the garden when we lived in England when I was young and locally they show up at petting zoos and the like relatively frequently. They are one of my favourite animals. Raccoons are cute too - but trouble.

Linda you met the challenge well! I love the little hedgehog and the sentiment inside. My brother always calls them hedgedogs, which makes about as much sense as the real name really, so any kind of hedgehog word play makes me smile nylene from a groundsman's point of view most critters are probably pests. But I'm pretty sure hedgehogs are mostly helpful or benign. They're very little, eat nasty garden bugs, and I don't think they burrow or anything damaging/annoying like that. I can't believe you've never seen one! We had them in NZ - not native - we didn't have any native land mammals until our British colonists brought all the delights of the English countryside over with them. I guess they brought hedgehogs because they're delightful! My nana used to put a plate of milk and bread out if she saw one in the garden. It wasn't something you'd see every day, so it was exciting to spot one. (More often seen squished on the side of the road, sadly)
