I don't know how I hadn't heard about this before - Tana French is one of my favorite authors. She writes crime mysteries set in Ireland. STARZ is premiering a new series based on two of her books on Nov. 10. Dublin MurdersAnyone else excited about this?

I’m super excited! I read these books years ago so I just started rereading In the Woods as a refresher.

We have watched the first three episodes - it is a fantastic show. I haven't read the novels but I am sure I would like them after watching the series.

I saw this pop up on BBC IPlayer last week, and thought it looked interesting. I haven't read the books though. DH is away all week, it is school break here and the weather is cod and rainy - time for a binge session!

I love her books because of her writing. I’m not sure how well that will translate. If it’s done by someone like the people who did “The Killing”, or “The Fall”, I could see myself liking it.

I watched episode 1 last night, I really like it so far. Everyone seems a bit effed up so it's right up my street! I've read a lot of reviews that say it's hard to follow the further along it gets though.

Hadn’t heard of the books or the series, but am always looking for more like this to read. In the Woods is only $1.99 for Kindle right now. Thanks for the recommendation! If I like it I will probably give the series a shot. We finished Jack Ryan Season 2 this weekend and it was a let down to know they haven’t even started Season 3 yet so DH is looking for something else to watch.

I have just finished watching this series and came on here to recommend it. Good job I did a search. I thought it was brilliant. It was hard to follow in parts but definitely worth a watch!

Thank you! So far we've only got one episode here in the states (I just finished watching it) and it was awesome! Love the actors they've chosen for the two main characters. Can't wait to see the rest.

Merge in the novel do we find out what happened to Peter and Jamie? While I loved the series there are a lot of unanswered questions. Nope, it's a mystery. Most of her books leave a lot of questions at the end. I'm having a discussion with my friend about it, I think it makes sense as a lot of disappearances are never solved and as viewers we should feel some of that frustration at never knowing, but, my friend thinks series 2 will answer all the questions.
It's certainly a series I'll be thinking about for a while.

I bought the two books that were only $1.99 In the Woods (#1) and Faithful Place (#3), and then promptly read book #3 in the series. So I hope I haven’t spoiled anything for myself. But I loved it and now I have to read the first one so I can watch the series.

I've just seen the ad for this and set the DVR to record although the first episode is on demand so hoping to watch it when I've finished here! Looks good!

Dang, so I’m going to need to pay full price for a book. I could wait until I earned enough rewards for slow shipping, but I’m not that patient.
