Donna shared that voting was so important to her she once left the hospital after surgery and went directly to the polls. In the US there are elections in November. Other places around the world have elections. Everyone has had a time when they were asked to raise their hand if in favor or against something.
For the November challenge do a layout related to voting or elections. It can be about any election, politics, running for student council or holding a family vote about where to go on vacation. Maybe you work the polls, or you don't vote at all. Do a layout about that. You can be completely literal with this like I usually am, or stretch the limits of what comes to mind when you think about voting for something. It can be about your grandfather who was elected Grand Poobah or your mom who marched for change.
Please share your layouts here as well as on the Challenge sharing page. 5 points for each layout that was inspired by this challenge.

In true Donna fashion, I too, left the hospital after a surgical procedure and went to vote as soon as I was stable. My procedure today was delayed by several hours, so my plan to take DGD along to the polls was not to be. I did ask for a 'Future Voter' sticker for her and I am going to take a photo of us with our vote stickers on.

Sorry it didn't work out to take your granddaughter with you but I'm glad you made it. We are a vote by mail state, which is a lot more convenient, but we don't get stickers. I had set aside my ballot and info booklets when I tidied up a while ago and almost forgot that it was election day. Luckily someone posted about it yesterday so I did my reading and voted and dropped my ballot off at the drop box this morning. Totally last minute compared to normal! I took a picture of putting the envelope through the slot and a selfie on the way so I'll try to get a page made this month for this challenge.

Not to be undone by my own challenge, I snapped this photo this morning for a layout. I'm also going to share it on the photo thread.

Hope you are okay, myboysnme ! Love the photo. It will have a special place, I am sure in [one of] her baby book Our federal election was held in October, and dh and I stopped on our way home from eye appointments. No photos taken. We cancelled each other's votes I am sure. We joke that that is what keeps us each going back to the polls: wouldn't want the other one's ballot to be the deciding vote!

Here is my take on this challenge which was perfect as we had a contentious issue on the ballot.

Here is my take on this challenge This layout so perfectly meets the challenge! It is great documentation of an issue that will have a historic context in the future looking back on it. Thanks so much for posting it!

I couldn't find any good word art or digital designs about voting but I found a "sticker" to add. Like all of my pages it's very simple. Hopefully I'll find a few more decorative elements to add - I might have a ballot box icon but I didn't have time to find it today. This page will go in my "highlights" book for the year. It's a 5x8 blurb book, so this is a double page spread. web 45 voted by jo.blackford, on Flickr

love your page, joyfulnana. Your journaling tells your story well. Great use of posters and photos to illustrate it. Your simple page is perfect, joblackford . Isn't that always the way: the perfect piece shows up just when you have declared a project finished! But that "I Voted" sticker works well all on its own.
