I’m in CT. It’s 70 degrees. Wet & windy but no rain! Trick or Treaters started showing up about 5:30. Hoping we’ll get our usual weeknight +/- 500 b/c I’ve got their candy!

Its 445 here and its a balmy 53 degrees (which is good since we had snowflakes + bad ice yesterday). I am going to hand out candy for about an hour or so then DH and I are going to dinner. Depending on how late it is when we get back, I might just not turn the light back on at all. We shall see.

It's cold, it's windy, there's a rain/snow mix going on right now in mid Michigan. But I'm ready. Candles are lit and lights are on. Candy is piled high in a bucket. Trick or treat must go on!

i'm having dinner with my friend in a couple of hours. better than listening to my dogs bark at the ToTers. DH will be home to deal with that. poor him.
ETA: it's sunny, dry but not as windy where i am as it is in the foothills where the fires are raging. the air smelled like smoke earlier but not so much now.

We don’t usually have much where I live in the UK but this year has been lovely . Where I work ( I finish at 7) I saw a constant stream of young children going past in costumes, then as I drove home I saw dressed up children everywhere with parents. No trick or treat in my road though- there aren’t any young children along here so I think people assume no one will be doing anything , plus we’ve had problems in the past with thugs in masls demanding money and damaging property .

I was excited to see if we’d get kids this year, but then dh worked his second double shift in two days He needs to sleep before he goes back to work again tonight so I need to turn off all our lights and hide in the back room so he doesn’t get woke up!

Not a TorTer in sight. Usually we get a couple hundred. 50 to 80 mph winds and rain mean too much chocolate in my future.

It's 7 celsius here and pouring rain. We are fairly rural and on a good night, we get maybe 10 kids - I'm not expecting any trick or treaters tonight but the pumpkins are lit and the candy bowl is full, just in case!

It’s early here, not yet 5:00. It’s only 40F, 4C, with 30 mph gusts (50 km) and the occasional snow flake.
We’ll see how many kids we get this year.

We don’t get many trick or treaters. Logan asked to give out candy so I bought a bag specifically. And he is too scared of humans at the door to answer. So guess who’s giving out candy? 😂

I'm hiding in my own home with two dogs screaming out the front windows every time someone passes by. Just peachy, thanks.

It is snowing here. We had a candy bar fundraiser so I paid for what was left in our box and handed those out before turning the light out.

It’s 71 degrees in Southern NH. Windy, but not pouring rain like predicted. Unfortunately that prediction was what caused T or T to be cancelled until Saturday night. The only entertainment tonight is reading posts from my idiot neighbors in town fighting back and forth on FB about how kids these days are snowflakes and really they should be able to go out even if there’s 20 inches of snow and freezing cold, ya know like “when we were kids”. The “I told you so’s” are rampant. As if the kids made the decision. Several have posted that it’s just ruined their plans for both tonight and Saturday and how dare the chief of police make that decision. Uh, he’s looking out for their kids’ safety. The same people that don’t want to pay for sidewalks or street lights, so too bad.
My younger is 12 and this might be her last year going out. We live on one of those no sidewalk streets so she’s going with friends anyway. She’s ok with waiting for a clear night.

6:09 here in cold and rainy Alabama. I am still recovering from surgery and my husband is working out of state. I have the TV off and no outside lights on. Praying no one stops here. I feel bad for the kids in our neighborhood. For the past 19 years my DH and I always did up our yard with lots of fun stuff. He even made special treats several time for some of our special neighbors. With him being gone and me being gimpy, I feel like the Halloween Grinch!
6:15 here now and so far no one ringing yet🤞🏼
Hope y’all enjoy a fun night!

Only 5 kids so far. We are just outside off Philly. The number drops each year. This year it is 71 and there is a break in the rain. Hopefully I can find somewhere to donate the left over candy.

Nary a trick or treater here. I didn’t get any last year but I thought maybe the toddler next door in my building might cone. Nope - at least not yet.

It was sunny and really humid today, and I’ve had an awful headache all day from the changes in the air pressure with the coming storms. We got about 6 trick or treaters before 6:30 and then the thunder and downpour started. Just a bummer of a day.

6:35 here in western Illinois. It is 29 degrees outside, snow on the ground but most of the pavement is clear - except for patches of ice where there was drainage from the snow that melted when it got sunny this afternoon.
Trick-or-treating started at 5 and goes until 8.
I’ve had 8 kids so far. I have full size candy bars, gum, Goldfish, Teddy Grahams, etc. I’m telling everyone to pick two from the bowl. I may start telling them to pick three - if I get anyone else!

it is 70 and calm here.. but after several years of no one t and t on our street.. I have given up and did not buy candy this year. I'm near a flat neighborhood that gets hundreds of kids.. I'm on the hills.

Less than 20 here and we've gone 30 minutes with no one. So any leftovers.
They loved the cotton candy though!

So first knock on our door and DH answers it. There’s a man standing there, no costume, holding out a white plastic bag. We have a house policy that if you come to our door on Hallowe’en, you get candy. I don’t care if you’re a teenager, or if you’re not wearing a costume.
DH starts stuffing candy in the man’s bag not realizing that the guy is delivering the Indian food I had ordered for dinner.
TL;DR, we need to find a new Indian delivery place.

Lots of parents commenting and taking pictures of it.

Just tell him it was an extra tip! No one has shown up here yet. It's supposed to be the coldest Halloween night since 1991, I think they said - it's about 50 here right now but supposed to drop down to freezing. We never get a ton of kids, but usually at least a few by now. I'm sure we'll get some later.
