DH had to get up for a moment (grumble) but I have to say I am digging the new intro, the way they splice 2 disparate images together is really cool.

I may have watched 3 episodes last night. I really need to start stretching my shows out to make them last longer. I really don't do network TV at all any more, so I feel like I have short periods of binge watching followed by long periods of nothing to watch. Anyway, the first 3 episodes were great. Can't wait to watch more!

I usually rewatch the episode during the week with subtitles on because their accents are so thick I feel like I miss some stuff 🤣

When we watched it a month ago I thought 2 seasons had already been released. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when we finished the last episode of season 1, popped our popcorn and climbed back on the couch ready to start season 2. We watched one of the movies instead. So I have been chomping at the bit since then. Last night I was ready to plow through 3 episodes, but DH was all “blah blah blah work tomorrow” and didn’t want to stay up past midnight. Boo. Really enjoyed the first episode. Though I was disappointed in the cooling off of the relationship between Jack and Grear. Thought John’s acting was pretty powerful after his friend was killed. Do you know how tempting it is to finish the season right now, while DH is at work?

We sat down last night after the trick or treaters were done, with a bowl of chicken tortilla chili, to watch some thing on tv, after being away for nearly a month.
We were so excited to see Jack Ryan pop up right away. We had no idea it had just hit, or that a new season was even coming. We watched the first episode, we were exhausted, but typically only watch one show per night. We've never been big tv watchers.

🤬 I can’t believe they killed the dog. NOT OKAY!! I had a hard time with that too. And then I wondered why that upset me more than the three previous human victims.

Because, generally speaking, people suck and the afore mentioned is unadulterated purity and sweetness and didn’t deserve what happened. Pissed me off, honestly. Shouldn’t there be a rule in Hollywood? I mean...they agree that all phone numbers start with 555...couldn’t they come together on that???

Only got another couple of episodes watched tonight, so we are at 3. We are enjoying the storyline so far, but aren’t as involved with the characters as we were last season. Not sure why just yet. At this rate it is going to take all weekend! I’m not a TV watcher unless DH or BFF wants to binge a show with me, about once a year each. Maybe a movie or two each month with DH. And some Spurs games and a couple of other big sporting events. That’s it. So only watching a show or two a night is killing me, I lost my patience for that when I stopped watching TV. Those of you that are able to space it out, I am impressed with your willpower! 🤬 I can’t believe they killed the dog. NOT OKAY!! Yeesssss! I always have an issue with that in movies. I am Legend with Will Smith was another one. Tears streaming down my face when he killed him, and for the rest of the movie I was complaining that he didn’t keep the dog “on ice” u til he found a cure like he did the zombie he was testing. Lost his wife and child? Eh, sad but I did okay. We rewatch movies and this one guts me every time.

So did Jack marry Cathy in the first season? I didn't care for the fact that she was completely MIA and he hooks up with someone in the first episode. Oh and I also was upset about the dog too and the leader of the four soldiers I'm home sick with the flu so my husband and I finished season 2. Other than my spoiler comment I thought it was pretty good.

Wait. I have to wait how long for Season 3? It’s not even in production yet. There is definitely something to be said for coming in at the tail end of a series. I so glad I didn’t get into GOT until after S7. Had plenty of time to binge the whole thing, and rewatch a lot before the premiere of S8. Waiting a week between episodes about killed me. And now a year or more before S3 of JR is released? So did Jack marry Cathy in the first season? I didn't care for the fact that she was completely MIA and he hooks up with someone in the first episode. Oh and I also was upset about the dog too and the leader of the four soldiers I'm home sick with the flu so my husband and I finished season 2. Other than my spoiler comment I thought it was pretty good. I liked it too. A bit confused about the fate of one of the characters, but apparently I have plenty of time to rewatch and figure it out. He and Cathy said they were keeping it casual didn’t they? I liked the special forces leader too and was disappointed he was killed off, but liked the way it affected the rest of that storyline.
They killed the dog, and made Giles (BtVS) the bad guy and killed him. But did they have to make Ron Butterfield a bad guy too? We suspected pretty early on, hated being proven right. Eta: I’m sorry if anyone saw the quoted spoiler before I had a chance to fix it. I didn’t change anything, the spoiler tag was automatically taken off when I quoted Marina, so be aware.

There are just SO MANY battle scenes! I have a hard time following that type of action, and I lose interest.

There are just SO MANY battle scenes! I have a hard time following that type of action, and I lose interest. Normally that bothers me too, but I didn’t really notice this time. It didn’t feel like there were that many. Maybe I’ve just been desensitized by Game of Thrones.
