I decided to start this poll as many are answering jam in the which flavor of jelly do you like? poll.

Jam. The only good jelly is apple jelly.

I'm not sure what the difference is, in the US.
In Australia, jelly is what you call Jell-o, and jam is what I thought you call jelly - a fruit conserve. Now I'm confused.

No matter what you call it, it belongs on a sandwich with peanut butter!

So both are sweet but jelly is smooth/seedless and jam is not? is that right?

I like both but for different things. It must be Welch's grape jelly for pb&j and jam for everything else.

My mom always made jam so it was what I was used to. More nostalgic, I'd pick it. Jelly is good too.

I voted Jam because I prefer that over jelly, but when I buy the grape stuff for my boys' PB&Js I buy preserves.

I thought jam was a fancy word for jelly.

I prefer fruit conserves!
Has anyone had Frog Hollow Farm’s conserves? I’m salivating at the thought.

From How Stuff Works: So there you go! After reading this, I vote for "preserves". I think that is what we have right now, Smuckers strawberry preserve.

Jam. Homemade. Raspberry, then apricot, then tart cherry. Strawberry only as freezer jam.
I guess I am particular about my jams. 😅

Preserves or jam. I don't really care for jelly. I love apple butter but not sure if that is a jam or if it is in another category? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Five 2 letter words in a row. Looks strange
