I love the posts about all the goodies at Tuesday Morning but my store (Lacey, WA) really hasn't had much goodness the last few times I've been in (or maybe I'm just going there at the wrong time??). I'll be in Tacoma tomorrow for the Creating Keepsakes event and thought about swinging in to the Tacoma store. Does anyone know if they are scrapbook shopping worthy?

Hmmm, as long as I'm going to be so close, I think I'll try. I'll let you know what I find! I haven’t been to the Tacoma one, but I do like to stop in any of them when I’m in different towns. Mine is the Lynnwood TM which is pretty good. But I also try to stop by the Smokey Point TM when I’m up north. I have dog events in Mt Vernon and a crop in Marysville every once in a while. That store is nice, big and pretty since it’s a new build. My family lives in Bremerton so I try to stop in the Silverdale TM when I take the ferry. It’s small but I seem to often find things to buy anyway! I do not like the Kirkland TM. It’s small, dark, crowded and the staff is not very friendly. I stopped going there even though it’s on the way to Marymoore. I look forward to hearing how the Tacoma store is Have fun at the convention!

I scrap with my aunt and my mom at these things, we would love to attend one! . We are actually at a weekend long crop right now, I got to get my fanny in gear and up to my table!

Not Tacoma, but since we are talking TM in Washington...I’ll add that I’ve never had much luck at the TM in Bellevue. Last two times I’ve walked out empty handed.

I swung in to the Tacoma TM. The good news is that they had a fairly decent scrapbook section. One long aisle and two end caps. The bad news: It's in a kind of sketchy area (Off Tacoma Way, in an industrial area), the store is disorganized and feels more like a warehouse (cement floors, cluttered aisles), and is not very well lighted. The entire store seemed dark but the scrapbook aisle was REALLY dark. No overhead light above the aisle at all. There was also a shopper there on a mission... she had a cart stuffed with products so between her and her cart, it was hard to investigate further. Oh well, I had already done enough damage at the CK event so I didn't stay long and doubt I'll ever be back. Gonna check out the Puyallup TM in a couple of weeks!

CKC was just okay. I remember the years when it was in Bellevue and was huge. This one was probably half the size as I remembered from past events. There were several booths that I just bypassed because I either wasn't interested (stamps, Creative Memories) or because as an empty-nester, I'm past them (Disney stuff, lots of cartoony kid scrapbook layouts). Usually parking isn't a problem but this year there was tons of construction around the Convention Center so that was kind of a pain. There were some highlights. Totally Tiffany had a booth there and Tiffany was soooo friendly and answered my questions. It was so nice to touch/look at her products in person. I did some damage at Queen & Co. and Eyelet Outlet too. There is talk that CKC has been purchased by a new owner and this year is their "building" year (they haven't been back to Washington in a few years) so hopefully they will just get better. I didn't take any classes this year but a friend that I ran in to said her classes were good and the classrooms were nice so that's positive. I also scraplifted a design from Eyelet Outlet for an adorable Christmas card that I'm making for a Card Exchange. Luckily I'm only making 21 of them because I have a feeling that if I added up the sparkly washi tape, the bling and the brads, not to mention the cardstock and envelopes, I'd be shocked at how expensive these would be per card! (And of course, like any self-respecting paper crafter, I'm NOT going to add up the cost!!! LOL!)

I don't really know anything about CKC, I'm not really into that kind of thing, but I saw that Kristie Marcotte was at the Queen & Co booth this weekend. Probably good I didn't go because I'd be awkward fangirling but I'm also very cheap and I'd feel bad about not shopping! (I sell my cards so the taxman requires me to calculate the cost of every darn card I make! Cost of Goods Sold is the worst thing. Don't ever start a business!) But then I was scrolling around YT and started obsessing over TT stuff and was surprised to see she's WA local too, and that she was at CKC. I LOVE organizers and I would have loved to see all the products, even though that would've been very bad for the budget. So probably a good thing I have a convention blindspot. It sounds like I'll never go to the Tacoma TM. I've only ever been to the one in Silverdale (Kitsap) so I don't even know if it's a good one or not. But hubby wouldn't be keen on the dodgy Tacoma one, by the sounds of it. Hope Puyallup is better

I am already planning to go back next year in the hopes that it is bigger/better. I've only gone to the Puyallup one once (Scrapbooking and Stamping expo) and probably won't be back as I'm not a stamper and it seemed that's all that was there. It's good that there is something for everyone, huh? I knew Tiffany was Washington-grown. 'Not sure if she has a brick/mortar store or not? She was very friendly and knowledgeable and when her husband was struggling with the Square at checkout, she found it funny and was teasing him (kind of felt like that giddy funny laugh that I get when I'm overtired? LOL). HE didn't think she was so funny but she did. )

I really enjoy watching her videos Thank you for the update deekaye I remember back in CKCs hay day, me and my friends did both Portland and Bellevue several years! We had such a great time. But then they just got smaller and smaller and we stopped going a few years ago.

Oh Dori, I remember those good ol' days too! We would plan our calendars around Portland and Bellevue, get hotels, scrap at crops and then go back to the hotel and crop more and oogle our goodies from the vendor fair. At the end of the long weekend it would take several luggage racks to get our stuff down to the cars! LOL
A few of my friends no longer scrapbook, one has moved away and those of us who are left have enough product to start our own vendor fair. Still love to shop though!

We did the same, bringing our bags of stuff back to our rooms, spreading it out on our beds and showing each other. And the classes were fun too! Then I always wished I had taken the Monday off work!

I will chime in about Washington Tuesday Mornings Since I live where there are no TMs I seek them out whenever I am on the West side. This past weekend I stopped at the one in Bellevue/Cross Roads and it had the most organized craft aisle. Very neat and tidy. I bought a bunch of Merry and Bright stuff. Then later that day was at the one in Lynnwood and it was good, but not as tidy. I frequent the on near Southcenter and find that one has a lot of stuff. The one in Tacoma is sketchy and dark and the Puyallup one is very good. I also go to the one in Spokane and that one is pretty good. I think it all depends on what you are looking for and what came in that week. I love their prices and the hunt for a good deal!

I am in Tacoma! (Well, University Place, but close enough.) I've only been in there once, actually. Briefly. Sounds like I'll have to check out the one in Puyallup. There is a pretty nice craft store called Artco in Tacoma.
