I'm interested in getting a heat press but don't want to spend the money and don't really have room for it.
What are your thoughts on the Cricut Easy Press? Do you love it or hate it?
You can use it without a Cricut machine, right? I have an original Cameo so that's the machine I'll be using.
All feedback welcome.

I haven't really used it a lot so maybe not the best person to ask... but yes, can be used without a Cricut. And its super easy to use! If you like using vinyl I say go for it!

Your Cameo will be fine for cutting anything vinyl.
I have a full sized heat press, which I love, but it does take a lot of table space. For people with limited space, the Cricut seems like a good option. Enjoy!

I'm glad to hear this! I got one for my birthday back in September, but I haven't used it yet.

ok sorry if this is a dumb question but isn't an easy press just an iron? What would be the pros of using it over my iron?

I think it gets much hotter than an iron. Larger heating surface. Easier to lean in for pressure, and it has a timer. My Joann’s had the pressing mats on clearance last week

I was considering buying the first generation easy press a few years ago but bought a 15x15 heat press instead. The cost of my heat press wasn’t much more than the easy press so for me it made more sense. I didn’t have a lot of room, and still don’t, but I’ve moved from just using my heat press with HTV to sublimation. I know that the new easy presses get hot enough to use with infusible ink, which is the same concept as sublimation, but depending on what you’re interested in using the easy press for, you may quickly find that it’s not big enough for projects you may want to do. I’m now saving for a larger heat press. I think the easy press has come a long way, but I still think for the cost I’d opt for a heat press.

I love my Easy Press. I have no room for a Heat Press, so the Easy Press was good for me. I have used it for tee shirts, canvases, and ornaments.

isn't an easy press just an iron? I don't do a ton of HTV. I was using a good iron and it work OK. I bought the Easy Press - and it was WOW - so much better! A more even heat, and I knew the actual temp. They are expensive, but quality. I have a Silhouette Cameo and I use Siser EasyWeed HTV - which I recommend!

If you are using heat transfer vinyl, I agree with iowgirl. Siser Easyweed is my favorite.

Love my easy press. Not a fan at all of Cricut after all the crap with not being able to use older machines online. Even my DH was surprised when I came home with an Easy Press. In fact, he said I thought you were mad at Cricut!

I HATE Provo Craft for all the crap they've pulled over the years. I'll mainly be using it for HTV. I think you've all convinced me to try to find one on sale during the holidays.

I bought one on Amazon Prime day this year, but haven’t managed to use it yet. I will cut out my vinyl with my Cameo.

pinklady The easy presses are on sale at Amazon today. THANK YOU! I ordered one. That was a better price than both Joanns or Michaels Black Friday price.
