This is a sketch from the SketchSavvy blog. I had intended to use it for Sketchtember but I have really struggled with it for some reason. I'm looking forward to see what others might do with it since it was such a challenge for me. #174-12x12-SketchSavvy by Joyfulnana, on Flickr And my take on it - not thrilled with the finished result but thrilled to be done with this sketch lol. Thanks, joyfulnana. I love her sketches, and this one is no exception. And great take! Your page doesn’t LOOK like it was a struggle! Love the little personal story, the flow of the flowers and dots. I am often drawn to the specifics of a sketch, so when I looked at it, the fall leaf clusters and enamel dot circles jumped out. So I am impressed you could come up with a pink/black page with flowers and random scattering of the dots. Now there are even more options to work with. Can’t wait to see what the peas do with this.

Wow! joyfulnana, I’m swooning over your color scheme! 💗💗💗 I love the flower clusters too, but the lefty story intrigued me. I had no idea of ink stained lefty troubles. Gorgeous. I can’t believe you struggled. Also can’t wait to use this sketch now that I’ve seen your interpretation.

Great sketch, I love it!! I've left love in the gallery for your layout. It certainly doesn't look like you struggled with it, it's a fab layout. And add me to the list of people who knew nothing of the struggles of being a lefty!

Hahaha I just worked out why I liked the sketch so much....... it's quite similar to a layout I've been working on that I was going to use for my Sketchy Saturday challenge! That's too funny! Back to the drawing board for me..... just as well I have a ton of saved sketches.

grammadee the circles and dots are exactly what drew me to the sketch as well. AussieMeg I'm sorry you already had a similar sketch in the works! Every time I offer to post one I hope it hasn't already been posted on a past thread lol. I LOVE your take on this! grammadee, LisaDV, AussieMeg thank you all for the love

AussieMeg and joyfulnana, your layouts have inspired me so today I put the Christmas cards away and made a layout. I love Susan Stringfellow's sketches. She's one of my very favorites. Carolers

nylene I love it! I am always amazed at the way you and linda take a 12x12 sketch and make it your own in an 8.5x11 format. I wish I was that creative!

AussieMeg, fabulous colors as usual. I love the stamped stars and stitching. nylene, what a true leader and service oriented person Samantha is. The page is beautiful but I'll have to admit to being jealous of the shorts and short-sleeves at Christmas time.

#1 grandson and his fiance (who I have not met) went to Alaska in October. They loved it! She was born there and still has relatives there but hasn't lived there since she was a child. I have a lot of these snowy pictures and some from Crater Lake where he proposed to her so I may need to find a snow kit!

@elaynef, I love this layout. The circles of enamel dots look like tiny snowballs. Such a cute couple. I love the colors and the "cold weather" feel of this. That's a great font on Alaska.

@elaynef, your page is so lovely. Did you stamp those trees on the top right? They're gorgeous. The color is perfect for the photos and the chilly snowy vibe.
