We have a potluck this week at work and I made a really good German beer cheese spread, but I have no idea what to serve with it. I've been eating it on homemade German Rye bread, but I don't have time to do another loaf before the potluck. What would YOU serve with it? And because I know the rules: This is the RECIPE I used (except I just realized I only used 8 oz of cheese - still turned out good)

Sounds like it would be good on the little squares of cocktail rye bread!

It says you can serve it with crackers or vegetables, so I'd probably get a couple different crackers. This looks really good.

So just sitting in the corner eating it with a spoon isn’t acceptable? 😂🤣😂
Pretzels. Melba toasts. Maybe some veggie sticks.

In Kentucky, beer cheese goes on celery. End of story.

Not a beer drinker. What brand do you recommend? This will be great to take to our T-giving hosts who ARE Beer drinkers!

I used a local craft brew that is similar to a Hefeweizen (because that's my favorite beer and what I happened to have in the fridge) - Paulaner makes a good Hefeweizen that's pretty widely available. An amber lager-style would be good too.

Sounds like it would be good on the little squares of cocktail rye bread! This was my thought too! You can get them at specialty grocery stores. I remember my parents having that with pimiento cheese spread.

I just bought a tub of beer cheese at Costco. I was going to serve with pretzels and crackers (to go along with the cranberry jalapeño dip).
