Ran to the supermarket this morning and started thinking about just how many different places I shop for groceries in a given month. There are two different chain supermarkets that I frequent, TJ's, Costco and then the local specialty/international markets. In any given month, I usually shop at about six different stores. How many do you shop at?

King Soopers for the majority (gas points) Target if I am just there and picking up something random Costco for mostly TP, paper towels, cleaning stuff.. then some food items like cereal Walmart again if I happen to be there and need something misc.
So four.
Trader Joe's is like a special trip because there isn't one by me.. so when I do go, I do pick up a few things. I don't count them though.

Mostly Kroger’s. But their are a few specialty items I can only get at Meijer and The Fresh Market. We go to Costco at least twice a month, plus there are a few items at Sam’s Club, but that’s probably only once a month.

Costco & Wegman's about once a month, and our local one more often, for essentials that we run out of faster, milk, bread, eggs...

I try to get most everything at Aldi. If we need certain brand name items, I first try to order them from Walmart or Amazon online so I don't have to go to another store . If that fails, then I go to Walmart.

mostly Aldi. There is also a local grocery store chain (Marc's) that I like to shop at, because they have decent prices on produce. Giant Eagle..... I only shop there if there is a great coupon deal. Otherwise, it's way too expensive. Trader Joe for unique items. To sum it up...... where ever groceries are cheapest

A local family owned store, Trader Joe's and Costco get 90% of my grocery money. Whole Foods, the farmer's market and a large Asian chain get the other 10%. Every now and then I make a stop at a national chain. DS's birthday is coming up so I'll be visiting the Fruit Loops and oreo aisles in one soon.

I was thinking my answer would be a quick, easy number - but not so much.
I do most of my grocery shopping at HyVee.
But, I get grocery and household items at several other stores, some for specific things, some because I’m there for other shopping. I would not say I go on a regular schedule, like once a month, but more when I need/want something. These include Aldi, Target, SuperTarget, Jewel, WalMart, Sam's, Costco and Trader Joe's.

If it’s not available at Walmart grocery pick up, I don’t need it.

Sprouts for most of my produce as their prices are great and they have a wide variety as well as top notch produce.
Stater Bros (So Cali grocery store) for meats, any canned items, and rest of produce.
Target for King Arthur GF flours as they have the best price.

3 places for me
2 grocery stores: Hy Vee or Fareway, just depends on my mood really. Fareway isn’t open on Sunday, so then I go to Hy Vee.
And Sams, for bigger quantities of certain things we like, usually frozen goods. That’s only every couple months though.

Two. Nob Hill for weekly shopping and Costco for bulk shopping. I will buy groceries at Target if I am there for something else and see something I need.

When I had a family, I shopped at at least 2 different per week. Now that it's just me, I mainly shop at our local store, Metropolitian Market. Produce is always 10+ and their deli selection/in-store prepared foods are great too. I'll stop by QFC (Kroger owned) about once a month. Trader Joe's (even though it's within walking distance) less often than that, my location has lousy produce. I have virtually stopped shopping at Whole Foods since their produce has gone downhill since Amazon purchased it.

Trader Joe’s and Costco. Every once in a while I’ll go to Ralphs if I need something I can’t get at either store and only because it is right next door to my local Trader Joe’s.

In an average month, mostly Costco and occasionally Target for the things I don’t want a Costco quantity of or that Costco doesn’t sell. Occasionally I will have to go to the regular grocery store (Cub, and even less frequently HyVee but only because it’s further away, I like HyVee better). On the very rare occasion once or twice a year, I will go to a Trader Joe’s or Aldi if I think they will have something specific I need. I can’t be bothered to chase around to multiple stores on a regular basis.
I should add that we typically buy most of our beef a side or a quarter at a time (and sometimes a whole pig) from a butcher shop plus DH hunts deer, and that makes it easier to not have to shop sales at various stores for cheaper meat like my mom used to do.

We do most of our shopping at Aldi. For extras we go to Polonez (the Polish supermarket) Lidl or Dunnes (the big supermarket chain in Ireland). For noodles, rice and Ramune we go to the Asian market.

Fred Meyer (Kroger) and Costco. Fred Meyer is weekly and Costco is about 2x a month. Occasionally I will stop at Safeway if I just need one or two items in the middle of the week since it’s much closer to my house than my regular grocery store.
