What places have you gotten yours from that you really like?
I've done Publix and Boston Market, they're ok.
Fresh Market, Whole Foods? Which do you recommend?
Thanks!

Bob Evans is really good. We did it a few years when my mom still wanted to host, but couldn't cook due to surgeries.

We’ve had Marie Callendar’s in the past. I don’t know if they are in your area. Also, some restaurants have Turkey dinners to go if you preorder. Maybe check some good restaurants in your area.

I’ve been getting mine at Fresh Market the last 5 years. Sometimes I get a fresh turkey and sometimes a precooked one. I’ve always been happy with what I’ve ordered including the sides.

We’ve had Whole Foods for 2 years and are planning to get again this year. Very good, especially recommend their cranberry sauce!

I've used a twin cities market, Lunds & Byerly for 12 years. It's great!

It is usually a small, independant grocery store or caterer that does it around here. I've never done it, but have heard rave reviews on the local place here!

Just make sure you pick it up on the right day. We can't handle a 2.0 of that public freakout.

We did Boston Market one year, which was fine.
The last few years we get ours from Wegmans, and it’s also good.
I used to couldn’t imagine a precooked turkey dinner for our family but now that we’ve done it I don’t picture us going back. It’s such a relief to not do so much prep.

We had a Kroger’s one one year. It was just okay. Another year we had The Fresh Market’s. It was pretty good. If I was in a jam, I’d buy the TFM again.

Doesn't Honey Baked Ham do turkey dinners too?

I've NEVER ordered a pre-cooked turkey dinner, but this year I was tempted to do it. I had surgery a week ago and I won't be allowed to lift or bend for another few weeks. I might cook it and have DD as my helper.......
Our butcher closeby did have a turkey dinner for 2 for only $25. You just re-heat it in the oven for a bit...... I was tempted but didn't do it. I like to know EXACTLY what's in my food and I like to add my own herbs...

I've had it from Mimi's Cafe that is a chain restaurant here in our area and it was good.

if you are hosting a bigger group, have people bring dishes so all the work does not fall on one person.

We've gotten a turkey before from Honeybaked Ham and it was very good! Also, we once went to Thanksgiving at a friend's house and she had a Cajun style turkey that came from (of all places) Popeye's! My husband raved about it!
