... to me.... diapers? I don't find them attractive. Is it a design that they can scratch their region frequently or for urination purposes? And how do they find it comfortable to package all that material in their pants? It's like everything is flipping and flopping (Kramer reference) and that extra piece of fabric in the back. WTH? Just some random thoughts to lighten the mood...

For my money, I enjoy the sight of those longline Jockey ones that are shaped like biker shorts and keep everything locked and loaded. In dark blue.

My Dh always wears those longer bike style ones. He doesn’t own any other kind.

My husband wears them. He said he likes to have fresh air around his nethers. I even iron them. The boxers that is, not his nethers.

This is what my husband wears. He says Jockey brand provide more support after years of gravity pulling things down in the region.

My husband switched from the baggie boxers to the long slim kind due to a job change. Now he doesn’t know what he was thinking. I think sons typically start with whatever their dads used. Regarding the gravity. I heard from a women’s health professor that one of the beans hangs significantly lower than the other. Depending on whether the frank sits to the left or the right, one of the beans sits on the pant seam and doesn’t hang as much. I’ve never tested my theory.

I think sons typically start with whatever their dads used. Not here. Mine is sadly tightie whities all the way. I tried to get him to at least do a colored brief but nope. My son wouldn't be caught dead in them. My husband did try boxer briefs and found them too hot.

My DH used to wear tightie whites, till he decided to try the boxer briefs. SO much more sexy, IMO.

I think they are just comfortable. Lots of guys don't like the drawers to be too tight and the briefs and the Jockey kind can be more constricting. To be fair, I wear what makes me comfy, so I am not going to try to change what my husband wears. He did make a change when he started his personal training gig. At work, he prefers keeping the stick and beans under wraps and at home likes a little more freedom.

My boys started out with printed tighties but at some point around middle school asked to try boxers. Well more precisely, they secretly stuck a package in my shopping cart when we were shopping for school clothes. I paid for them since new underwear was on the list of needs and didn't ask any questions. For awhile they wore both styles. I have no idea what they wear now.
IMO, underclothes are at the preference of the wearer not the spouse. I don't want some guy telling me what panties and bra looks more sexy while I am at work or wearing outer clothes. They have a function to make ME more comfortable in my clothing. I assume men pick their underpants for the same reason.... what feels best to them.

Like bras, maybe they aren’t wearing the right size or type for their body type.

Been married almost 40 years, and have learned that telling someone else what underwear and pajamas they should wear is a losing proposition.

I wouldn't even want my spouse to suggest or have an opinion about the looks of my undergarments. I just find it a strange thing to have an opinion about. I wear what keeps me comfortable. I always assumed my ex and sons did the same... other than when the military made specific demands about underwear.

Day to day life wear what makes you comfortable, but dang on special occasions sometimes a nice leopard print vs the grey looking worn out tight whities would be a nice change. There are times it's OK to verbalize what turns you on, or what you might like to see.

My hubby used to wear Jockey briefs but he’s glutes are so tight they would hang in the back like a diaper. So last year I bought him a few pairs of Mack Weldon 18 hr jersey trunks as part of his holiday gifts. He loves them, looks good in them and everyone is happy.

Never crossed my mind. I'm not married to a guy who needs to look good in his undies. I guess if I was sleeping with a Calvin Klein model I would have a preference.
DH and DS swear by the Armachillo boxer briefs from Duluth Trading. Nice support, no heat. I just don't want to spend $36 on one pair of underwear. Usually around Christmas they are 1/2 off so they each get a pair in their stocking.

As in my original reply it was about daily wear to work or when I was otherwise fully dressed for day to day activities. Special occassions or bedroom rev up does have a different standard.

DSO and DS both only ever wear the bike short style of boxers. DSO wants some of these for Christmas: (the video cracks me up!)
