Update
Went in knowing there was only one season. Still pissed off about it.
Dh and I are starting to look for our next binge watch. I know Firefly was canceled after one season, but I've hear it is pretty good and I like Nathan Fillion.
If you've seen it, would you recommend or not recommend it.

Firefly is one of my favorite sci-fy shows. My husband and I just watched it. Second time for me and the first for him. He didn't think he'd like it, but he ended up really enjoying the season. Like me, he really wanted there to be a second season.
Incidentally, this is one show that I would love to see have a reboot!

And what were they thinking to not do a season two? All of the really crappy shows that go on for several seasons and Firefly is canceled after one season. 🤷♀️

And if you like Nathan Fillion and decide you like Firefly, check Fillion out in Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible.”
(Or as the crazy evil preacher in the last season of Whedon’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” ... but then you have to do seven seasons of catch-up.)

I loved Firefly. I own the DVDs and the movie (the movie wraps it the series). This is the one show I regret that didn't get more than one season. Timing is everything. If it had been on a year or two later it would have had a long run I think. I'm probably time for me to re-watch  |

Yes....watch the episodes first and then the movie and you will have closure (I hate it when series leave you hanging)...

One of the best TV series ever made. It didn’t last because the network chose to air the episodes out of order, and viewers were confused and didn’t get the character arc Whedon intended. Really sad mismanagement.

It's neat when someone recognizes the fabric. It's like having a special handshake -- but social distance like. We just kind of tip our chins at each other; yanno, like the cool kids do.

But that will go on our list to watch. Have you been watching The Expanse? That one isn’t family-friendly due to being somewhat gory, and it is pretty gritty, but we love space sci-fi. I think that this is its last season. Seasons 1 & 2 were superb. |

Even got DH a hand knit, wool, Jayne hat that a little ol’granny was making on Etsy (before Fox licensed it). 14 fantastic episodes and it’s own movie, “Serenity”. I suggest watching the series first then follow up with the movie. |

Loved that show. Dh couldn’t get into it, which surprised me.
I do not think of Star Trek Discovery as family friendly. There is a lot of violence. Love the show, but it’s too intense for my 20 year old. She liked most of Voyager (minus some of the Borg episodes).
