Good morning.
Today I'm finally getting a much needed haircut. Apart from that, I have a couple errands. Dinner will either be panko chicken in the air fryer or lamb chops. I'm debating.
What's on your menu?
I can't think up a question this am. You're off the hook unless someone has a question that they want to ask.
Enjoy a happy, delightful day.

Happy day scrapmaven! I hope you have a good one. Wish we could see your beautiful self after your haircut! Tonight I'm going to my Mom's for family dinner. She's finally back from her Arizona trip. She says she's not cooking tonight, only ordering pizza. I found this yesterday while scrolling Facebook. I admit, I am intrigued. Each individual layer looks delicious. I'm not sure how I feel about all of them put together. But there is a family dinner schedule for St. Paddy Day and my sis says she'll throw in if we want to order this just for fun. I'm not sure. It's $99 too. I may just try to make one of the layers.

I'm going to Costco to check out the phones ~ if you've seen my thread, you'll know I'm looking at the Galaxy S21. Dinner will be AF Chicken Thighs.

jeremysgirl, would your mom and sister participate if each one of you wants to make a layer of the cake? That might be fun. Thank you for your sweet compliment. Right now I look like Cousin It. I need this haircut, badly. cadoodlebug, yds loves his samsung phones. He gets the pricey ones, unlike his cheapo mama.

I made one once with Rumchatta. But I think I'd love to take a stab at the guinness green cake with salted caramel frosting.

jeremysgirl - that cake looks awesome! Today was another quiet day here. I started by finishing off all the details for our kids First Reconciliation service on Saturday, and the information for the parents who are going to be teaching the classes for Communion while I am gone. At some point during all this, I realised we were out of paper for the printer, so I went shopping. As I don't like to waste a trip, I also bought a few other things we're going to need to get us through the next few days. Our dinner tonight is going to be interesting. A week or so ago, DH was in the canteen at his work and they had a display of various spice mixes, which were also for sale. One was a Purple Curry powder - he thought it looked different, so he bought some. From reading the ingredients, it is a regular curry powder mix, with the addition of hibiscus flowers and red beets. So, I am making a chicken and veggie curry - it smells fabulous, but looks, well, very purple! I can't imagine what it will look like over white rice!

I would love to see a picture of your purple dinner sueg! I can't think of any dinner I've ever made that was purple. It sounds both delicious and fascinating.

Yes, please post a photo if you feel up to it, sueg. That sounds very interesting. You must be getting more and more excited as each day approaches. I think the most excited person will be Sophia when she sees you in person.

I took out a package of chicken apple sausage, and I’m thinking sheet pan dinner with potatoes, carrots, zucchini, whatever’s in there. But since we have an allergy clinic appointment after school, I might not have time. So the answer is, I don’t really know what’s for dinner.

I've been reading the thread over the past few days but it's been too late to post ... so busy at work ... Spring Break is March 21st and I can't wait! Ex has been at the house doing some painting and throwing a bunch of stuff away ... but now I don't have to see him until Monday! I need to pick up a prescription after work ... the weather is sucky today ... dinner is up in the air ... probably rechauffe beef soft tacos ... easy peasy!

Enjoy your hair cut scrapmaven I love when they do the scalp massage, so relaxing. Ooooh purple curry that sounds so interesting sueg You may have to post a pic for us too. jeremysgirl i saw your post last night with that cake, if you attempt it you're going to have to overnight me a piece. A local Irish restaurant makes a guiness cake and it is GOOD! I'm doing a Sam's run after work so going to get carryout on my way home. I'm craving a burger and fries so maybe Flo's Burger joint.

No clue what's for dinner, need to run to the store later. We're supposed to go skiing this weekend, but my husband been super busy at work so hoping we don't need to cancel. jeremysgirl - I made Guinness cupcakes with a whiskey chocolate center and Bailey's frosting a few years ago. I thought the whiskey was overpowering, but the rest was pretty good.

Tonight will be my first night cooking in over a week! And I still don't know what to make. An easy sheet pan dinner would be nice. I have everything I need for that. That cake looks intriguing jeremysgirl . But those frosting layers are really thick! We have a co-worker here who's aunt bakes. She made dill pickle cupcakes with peanut butter frosting! I will tell you that they were delicious, couldn't taste dill pickle, but it gave the cupcakes a nice flavor! The frosting was fantastic!

Tonight is dinner out with my Meet Up group, Epicurious. It is a very she-she-poo-poo restaurant so it will either be frogs legs, scallops, or a hamburger for dinner. How is that for eclectic? Anxious to see what I choose.

Quiet day here. Supper will be pork chops.
I recorded Amazing Race last night since I was babysitting the grandboys and couldn't watch it. I was scrolling on Facebook this morning and saw that someone posted who won! Man, I was disappointed to find out the winner before I watch it. Oh well...

Hi Everyone, scrapmaven Enjoy your haircut. jeremysgirl Interesting looking cake. If you buy it or make it, let us know what you think. sueg I am another who would love to see a picture of your meal. How many more sleeps before you get to get on a plane? cadoodlebug That is such a funny meme lucyg A sheet pan dinner may be tonight’s meal. Mine will have chicken, potatoes and carrots. scrappert I have never heard of dill pickle cupcakes. I am going to look up a recipe. ntsf to your son! Well tonight I was supposed to have dinner with my girlfriends; but a little wrinkle popped up. Yesterday, 2 of my YDS’s friends ended up in the nurses office with cold symptoms and one had a fever. So YDS was called to the office and all 3 had to take Covid tests. All 3 negative, then last night, YDS starts with sore throat, cough and fever. Yeah, I am not leaving the house until next week. I don’t want to be the one who gives someone something. So tonight is lucyg’s sheet pan dinner with chicken instead of chicken sausage. I hope everyone has a great day!

We have a co-worker here who's aunt bakes. She made dill pickle cupcakes with peanut butter frosting! This just sounds so yucky! You're brave for tasting it. Well this just stinks. Here's hoping it's not covid. I'm so over covid.

I had a super lazy start to the day and read in bed for a couple hours before getting up. DS doesn't have class on Thursday so I knew he would take care of the pup and her morning walk. Our temps dropped about 20ºF with a storm is coming in so I just want to be cozy at home. The plan is to tackle a few cleaning chores before hitting my puzzle. I've realized there is a 100% correlation between my puzzle time and international crises (crisi?). Have fun getting pampered at the salon, scrapmaven. I desperately need a haircut but broke up with my stylist last July and haven't decided whether to keep coloring it and/or go short again. My medical isolation gave me an excuse to avoid the decision, but I really need at least a trim. I wouldn't spend the money on the cake, jeremysgirl. I bet you could create all three layers and the frosting on that one is just too thick for me. And I love salted caramel anything. I'd try the pickle cupcakes, scrappert. I'm laughing at your purple dinner, sueg. When I roast beets, it's usually on a separate tray because of the way they color everything. I didn't bother earlier this week, so both the chicken and carrots were tinged red by the time everything was cooked. I think I need an Epicurious Meet-up group in my life, DEX! Have fun tonight and go for the scallops and/or frogs legs. destined2bmom, hope your DS continues to test negative and no one else gets sick. Dinner here will be meatloaf with mashed potatoes (for the guys), mashed sweet potatoes for me (& DH because, yes, he eats both ) along with sauteed Brussels sprouts and green beans.

I think I can whip up some kind of recipe like that. Just the cake and the salted caramel frosting. I don't have as much experience with a cake as I do cheesecakes, but I'm going to give it a shot. All three layers look good to me but it seems like a toothache in the making and I really don't want to spend $100 on it.
