Still stalled. Sometimes I eat poorly.
I did start working with a personal trainer and I went on a 5 mile hike today.

We had a family birthday celebration yesterday and I ate foods that I don't normally eat. I don't restrict but I do choose not to eat certain foods because of the way they make me feel. Yesterday was a reminder why. Lol No regrets but I'm back on my usual eating train today. I started on a strength round this training cycle and lifting heavy starting last week. Ouch. Not in a bad way but definitely feeling it. I think I'm going to run my 10k on 10/13

Had my follow up with the rheumatologist today. Saw the NP this time. She said I could resume a limited amount of tomato since that is obviously not one of my triggers She also agreed that the benefits of my milk based protein drink far outweigh the possible inflammation. She was amazed how much I managed to cut back the sugar and was shocked that it hasn’t made a bit of difference in my pain. We agree that most of my inflammation/symptoms are stress and cortisol related. She also ordered a thyroid ultrasound for the lumps that no other doctor was ever concerned about (I’m hypothyroid). We also just got back from vacation and I achieved my goal of not gaining a single pound. I ate like crap the whole time but we did lots of walking. I don’t want to see a french fry, hamburger or even my beloved chick fil a for at least a month! I have a little less than 2 months to lose 1.5 inches off my waist or I’m going to be forced to buy new work pants when school starts. That’s where I draw the line. Might try and find some very low key work out routines online this week to help.

I have been so thrilled that I have maintained my goal weight for months - but now we are in North Carolina and with the heat and humidity I can’t run and boom I can feel I have gained weight, I am walking a ton and did a pelleton strength training yesterday but I just don’t feel myself without the running. Dreading going home and weighing myself 😩😭 I’m gonna guess I have gained 3-5lb super bummed. I even bought salads from Trader Joe’s to not eat out as often and I don’t think it’s helping

I threw my back out Friday so I haven't worked out all weekend or today. I did weigh yesterday and was up two pounds, but that's pretty normal for me on the weekend. It feels like all I've done is lay around and eat. Blah. I seemed to have turned the corner on my pain, so I am hoping to get back to walking tomorrow morning. We will see if I go once I wake up. The Dr did say no weights for this week while I am still healing.

Since I have the time I have been working out a lot. I took an in person spin class not too long ago. It was a first for me. It was an hour long and HARD. And I was able to do it. I learned that I can kick it up a notch with the Peloton rides. I've been doing longer rides, adding some short tabata rides after completing a shorter ride. I'm trying to do more strength workouts.
Summer is a challenge for eating - so many parties around the 4th. It's always so awesome to enjoy outdoor drinking at a brewery. So many bad decisions.

We got back from our vacation last Wednesday. I walked Friday, Sunday and today. I will start back at the gym tomorrow. I stepped on the scale today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Up around 3 pounds. I still have a few challenges before school starts. If I can swing it, I will start working with a nutritionist in August.

I got 12,000 steps 3 days in a row. It gets rid of muscle aches. Today I only got 5000 steps. We have eaten terribly since Saturday night. I will be fine ;I hope) I don’t want to eat like that. This week could be a laid back week.

I have a few high-activity trips coming up so I have to get back to the weight training or I will be useless.
I recently started Vyvanse for adhd (finally diagnosed at 52) and I am completely turned off food so I’m struggling to maintain a healthy, calorie-dense diet when everything that isn’t fruit or vegetable tastes like crap. Does anyone else have experience with this? Does it get better? Because, frankly, it sucks.

I lost 2 lbs last week at WI....I never lose 2 pounds in a week...I am a .2 person!! That being said friday was my BD so it was an eating out kind of WE...although was cognizant of what I was eating. So was fairly good. I also either walked or rode the bike every day.....so, since I only step on the scale once a week...I'll see on the WE how I fared😊

At the beginning of the year, I had lost about 15 lbs with Noom. Gained about 10 of that back :-p
I have recommitted and am starting again my main goal is getting the proper amount of water. I feel like other things (feeling better and eating less) fall in to place after I have adequate water.
I also started this morning with a 1.5 mile walk with the doggy!

I am not quite a sloth because I will close all my watch rings but I am tired. I expect I will get 5000 steps somehow today. I hope so. Good luck everyone else. I hope today is a good weight and exercise day!

I am not actively trying to lose weight (although I need to). However, I have pretty much kicked my regular soda habit over the last week. I unexpectedly ran out and just didn't want to buy more.
BF has high cholesterol/blood pressure. I asked him to figure out something for dinner so he bought pre-made burgers and buns. I then decided to make a 5-bean salad to go with it for some fiber/vegetables. I don't like to cook though.

As long as it was in the house, we would give in and drink it. So we quit buying it and don't miss it now.

I got almost 11,000 steps yesterday somehow. Today I worked my quad muscles and they were tired bit but I did my weights.
Today I am feeling lazy so I might not get a workout in. But later on maybe.
Good luck to all of you!

I have 3500 steps today and my brain isn’t working well. I don’t leave the house often anymore because my tooth looks like Joe Dirt. BFF wants me to go to the gym and lift weight. That is just not going to happen. I get my steps at home and a bit outside and call it a day. Maybe I will get 8000.

I only got 6000 steps. I ate terribly and my friends and family think I should live a little. I like fitting my clothes though! I need to eat keto.

I'm signed up for yoga tomorrow morning. I really hope that I feel good enough. How are you feeling today? I'm feeling quite a bit better, but I did not go to yoga. I figured one more day away wouldn't hurt and gave me another day to not be contagious (although o have my own mat and we are at least 6 feet apart). Plus with it being sinusy, I was sure about being inverted at all. I'll go to boot camp tomorrow and then reschedule my training sessions. Thanks for asking!

Stay strong. It is not an easy journey but absolutely worth it! I never tried Keto diet or something similar but I frequently experiment with the different types of fasting. It is recommended to start with the minimal period (2-3 days) and then extended it every time betterme.world/articles/fasting-for-3-days/ . Of course make sure you don't have any health problems which can worsen.

Does anyone know where I can get a wearable glucose meter? I will also ask the pharmacist at work.
I finally weighed yesterday (it had been awhile). Not as bad as I thought but most of the 20 pounds I lost last year are pretty much back.
I want to give myself the next year to work on myself. I turn 57 next month and don't want to feel this way at 58.

I went for a 7km walk yesterday (yes, it was hot af) and managed to close all of my rings.
I upped the dosage for my ADHD meds this morning, so I have energy to spare (understatement - I'm currently bouncing off the walls). I figured it would be a great day to get back to the weight training. The weigh-in at the doctor yesterday indicated that I"m down 6lbs in 4 weeks.

Today my legs are a bit twitchy so I doubt I will get 10,000 steps in. Also BFF is trying to get me to join the rec centre but I will not exercise with a mask on and 3 of my best friends have COVID right now.
My weight went down 3 lbs so I am trying to eat more. I have good seedy bread I can eat and could make a grilled cheese sandwich. I have fancy cheddar (Coastal) and butter is always allowed on keto.
I need to eat more I am not sure what.

My psych wants me to go back on ADHD meds and GP says don’t mess with a good thing. I don’t know. I already have weight issues that it might be a bad idea. I have taken Dexedrine before and it calmed me to sleep. 🤷🏼♀️

Did you do it just for the energy or was it time or something. I did bootcamp today. I could feel the mucus/congestion start to build as I was working out, so I took musinex d when I got home. I did pretty good and only tired out once or twice
