last month of the year and a busy one for many of us. If you do have goals - December Daily? Journal Your Christmas? cards? something else - here's the place to share and keep track of them.
I'll post a yearly goal thread for 2025 later in the month

Currently on scrapbook and photo uploading break, until after the New Year. Other things are taking priority >> adult responsibilities, reading and trying to get enough sleep. Hopefully, my ACOT order (has some "arriving in December" pre-orders in it), that I released from hold last month....will arrive by Christmas....so I can call it my "gift to myself".

Christmas cards. I don't do DD. Getting my Oct-Nov PL finished so it's not hanging over my head in January when I'm trying to finish up December.
Get my fall decor down and Christmas decorations up this week so the rest of the month I don't feel guilt about taking time to scrap. Plan to get my tree today so we can decorate tomorrow.
Have company here this week so will have lots of photo opportunities, which makes me happy. My life is very routine, so it's sometimes hard to get content that isn't exactly the same as the past 10 years.

It might be a take pictures now, scrap later type of a month.
I need to make a page for Sketchy Saturday on the 7th, otherwise I'm just trying to go with the flow and if I don't scrap anything else, I'll catch up in January.
Besides all the normal busyness +Christmas stuff, there are two December birthdays in our house, and DD is having orthodontic surgery.

My December goals include keeping up with Journal Your Christmas and to wrap up One Little Word before the year is over. I’d like to get some Christmas pages done for Rosie’s Studio too. I’m looking forward to a lot going on this month to give me something to scrapbook.

My goal is to get all up to date with PL, mainly. I’m not necessarily behind on it, it’s most filled in and current - just some empty journal cards here and there that need filling in. Some pages could use some embellishments to finish them off, but I’m running tight on space and can’t afford to waste any chunkiness, so I’ll save that for very last.
I intend to do DD, but I’m not sure I’ll be doing it in real time. In fact I am sure I won’t. At best a several day delay. I need to feel how things are unfolding and I process best in reflection, so it’s really hard for me to wrap my head around doing it each day. I’ve done every album after the fact and might just continue doing it like that. Preferably finishing before school begins in January, which seems very doable.

Only 2 "scrappy" goals for me: Christmas cards and finish organizing my craft room. I just have too much else going on right now to take on any other scrapping projects. I'm in the process of deciding what my card design will be and gathering/finding* supplies. (*"Finding", in my case, means unearthing what I need from one of the craft room boxes I still haven't completely unpacked from our move 3.5 months ago.)
Full-time work and setting up other rooms in the house (including buying a few new furniture pieces) is taking priority over scrappy things at the moment. We got a lot done this weekend in other areas of the house, including a tiny bit of Christmas decorating (the rest will be next weekend, but I got a small start), and some work on my craft room. I am taking my time on my craft room because I'm organizing and purging unused supplies as I go.

December is often a photo taking rather than a scrapbooking kind of month. THANKYOU pantsonfire for the list of prompts! I plan to print this and see how many of these photos I can take. AussieMeg did you see this? Off to a good start--got a group shot of five of us today in front of the tree at the local dinner theatre. I am sure it will fit in here somehow LOL.

Monthly
- Oct '20 (2 pages done last month) - Nov '24
- Nov '20
- Dec '20
Other
- Take lots of photos to use later. - Use digital supplies for Halloween album.
- Make a super small DD in a notebook? - 1 second everyday video
I really enjoyed making a video two years ago so I am trying again this year. I put all the month left for 2020 on the list but that isn't realistic. Keeping up to date on this year is the only priority. I am also bored of PL Monthly scrapbooking so I added a bunch of ideas that sound more fun.

I have 2 pages left in my DD 2023 album which are both Christmas Day and my least favorite day to scrap. I've already gotten 8 stories done in my DD 2024 album & am excited about the other Christmas activities going on this month that will fill it up. Work will be incredibly slow this month so I will have plenty of time to play & keep current. I took advantage of the recent Shutterfly unlimited pages sale and had our Fall Break 2024 book, Spain 2024 book, and both volumes of 2019 printed. Those should be arriving this week!

I plan to get all my cards addressed and ready to go even if they can't be mailed yet, due to a Canada Post strike. I want to finish up my monthly project life class, my sketches class, and the last sheetload of the year. I'm also doing December Daily.

I went into December very much ok with just letting the month happen, taking 3000 plus photos, notes, journaling and collecting ephemera and screenshots to sift through later. I haven't really worked on my album during Dec since 2011 or so... and even then, it was literally having the binder out and punching holes in ephemera and putting product in, adding post it notes etc. I kinda do that digitally now.
I went on an epic bucket list 3 week trip during Nov and the first few days of Dec, so this year, I had absolutely no illusion I would create (much) during the month. I also had a good deal of photos and digital elements ready to print, and had hoped that I would send them out and at least finish up through early Nov during early Dec. I didn't. So photos and digital elements from late Sept/Oct/early Nov are part of the massive order (I hope to) send today! FWIW... In the last few days, I've made a huge push and have my photos from a 3 plus week trip, 5 countries, 8 cities ready to go out too!
I really found the creativity shared within the community to be exciting this year, and I put together a few digital pages and partial pages during the second week of Dec. Surprised myself with that! But otherwise, nothing for DD done, except tons of detailed notes (treasure!) and a zillion photos to sift through.
Part of me is saying to submit the order specifically with ONLY the late 2024 and trip photos, and take the pressure off of prepping the lion's share of my DD photos. I wish I would listen to that voice! Instead... here I am doing a little file maintenance (very little) and I just got all my photos copied from my phone, and roughly put in folders (current through today! YAY!) I added my daughters photos that were relevant to our Dec time together, my son's, and my sweethearts. I have committed to 10x8 (huge mental energy suck that was) rather than 6x8- because I want to be able to actually put a dent in the ridiculous amount of product I have accumulated and of course purchased this year! I think I should be able to take a peek at my photos (all 2,995 of them) and rough out what will be full page photos, what lends itself to 4X4- what I don't have photos for, etc. I'm gonna give myself 3 hours today- and that is it. I'm starting today with a batch order I'll send (so far): 3x4's 102 4x6's 393 (many of these are 2 3x4's on one canvas- save $!) 12x12's 69 (many of these are one 9x12 and 3 3x4's, or 2 6x8's and 4 3x4's- again- save $!)
I'll update when I'm ready to send off! (Glad I have a ton of print credits!)

FuzzyMutt That’s amazing! I always wait and put my December album together *after* December as well. Photo selection and printing is definitely the weak spot in my process. Yay to you for tackling a big chunk!
