Where do you keep your marker/pens? And do you store them vertical? Currently, I have a modified wine bottle holder, but it takes up a little too much of footprint on my desk top.

I keep a few in a mug on my desk for easy access and others stored horizontally. I just picked up this ArtBin from Joann's that I really like. The compartments separate a few different types of pens and markers, and it fits neatly in a drawer.

I have a small container on my work space where I keep the frequently used pens, which are stored vertically. But I store the majority of my markers horizontally in an old Zig case that has 36 slots to hold markers. It's ok, but the markers really don't need to be put into an individual slot. And it doesn't fit my Copics. Those are stored in Crystal Light containers with the wrap removed. So they are just white plastic cases, shaped like a Copic. I planned to decorate them, but never got around to it.

I keep a bunch vertically in a couple of mugs by my bed (I don't have a scrap area, my room shares all my crafty stuff), as well as 2 pencil pouches with my favorite pens I like to dump out on my bed as I craft/write, BUT I have about 3 pencil boxes and 2 the next size up boxes full of pens/markers/gel pens/etc stacked on top of where I keep my washi tape which store them horizontally.

I keep mine in one of those plastic shoe boxes. I got mine at Dollar Tree, so that's a plus! I don't use them often, so keeping them stored in the closet isn't a big deal for me. They're also stored horizontally this way.
