This is one I’m sorry to see go.
Christopher Cadelago..
“NEWS: Kamala Harris told staff today she's suspended her presidential campaign. VIDEO coming soon.”
Nate Silver..
”We talked on the podcast yesterday about what's going wrong with Kamala Harris's campaign. Still pretty darn surprising that she dropped out.”
Now my candidate is Mayor Pete

Well damn. She wasn't necessarily my candidate. I'm not really feeling the need to settle on one yet. But I like and respect her very much and appreciate her voice and her work.

Many of her ideas resonated with me. I’m sorry to see her go but I think she has a bright future ahead of her.

Kamala Harris.
”To my supporters, it is with deep regret—but also with deep gratitude—that I am suspending my campaign today.
But I want to be clear with you: I will keep fighting every day for what this campaign has been about. Justice for the People. All the people.”

I am not surprised, nor am I particularly sad she is going.

It was time. I like her in general and think she could be a strong candidate, but she made bad hiring choices with consultants and advisers and her campaign was a disaster. There's no way a candidate has a chance without a dedicated staff. The leaks and dissatisfaction of her team were devastating. No campaign is surviving after an article like this www.nytimes.com/2019/11/29/us/politics/kamala-harris-2020.html?searchResultPosition=5

I was reading about how she had treated some of her staff and knew the end was near. You can't shit on your staff and expect them to remain loyal (or quiet).

It kind of goes along with what I’ve always heard about her from people who actually worked for her ... that she’s a crappy manager. I’m not particularly a fan, but I’m kind of sorry to see her go, too. I don’t DISlike her, I just wasn’t planning on voting for her. And she’s a hometown girl, after all.

I liked her, but I'm not particularly surprised or sad to see her go. Frankly, I'm a little annoyed that more haven't dropped out by now. I'm just starting to see ads for Tom Steyer and while I appreciate some of the things he's said, I can't help but think "dude, where have you been and why are we just hearing about you NOW?"

It is not surprising. The money (now and later) and votes( later)will eventually have to start focusing on less individuals.
To the aside of political ads- I have seen some Bloomberg ones but no new Steyer ones since his announcement in the NOVA area.

I agree and whoever the eventual new Democratic president is they are sure going to have one hell of a good pool in which to fill cabinet positions from!!!

For the last 3 years. I'll bet he has posted more ads about Trump than any other person.

if the reports are true, there was a lot of discourse in her campaign and lack of direction. i thought she started off strong but it seems like she took some bad turns when she attacked biden, campaigned on medicare for ALL, and didn't treat her campaign staff well. she seemed to nose dive after the first debate.

You go to the website and it says Trump is a failure and a fraud, and you can buy a Steyer bumper sticker there for a dollar.

She isn't going to be President and, IMHO, leaving now puts her in a more powerful position for whatever she does next. I'm looking forward to her participation in the impeachment process.

In fact I sent an email saying I liked her disability proposals and my one concern was she needed a coherent message people could embrace .

When you encourage staff to move then promptly lay them off with no notice - that’s shitting on those who work for you. Even her own staff say they were treated poorly.. www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2019/11/29/us/politics/kamala-harris-2020.amp.html

She was a strong candidate but never had a discernible message. You can identify most of the other candidates with an issue or an approach. If I think of one of the other candidates such as Warren, her issues and her demeanor immediately come to mind. "Kamala Harris" didn't really bring into focus a single issue that she focused heavily on or how I thought she might govern.

Yes you get this big yellow caution block with the messaging. You could think the stable genius would have thought to buy up any domains that corresponded to his slogan.

That domain was created in June of 2015. The owner may have wanted lots of $$ or was unwilling to sell to Trump. Obviously whoever owned it was willing to sell or give to Steyer. whois.domaintools.com/keepamericagreat.com

In the last 2 weeks is when I have seen Toms's ads, and I live in Ca. I watch football, Young Sheldon, FoodNetwork, Animal Planet.
I was never a fan of K.H. so I am happy she dropped out.

I haven't seen the first political ad from any of the other candidates. (in fairness, I haven't seen any Trump ads either - is he running them in Iowa too?) Political survey calls have also just started here in recent weeks (Is it November yet?).
