My DH's family is ever-expanding! There are now 11 children between the ages of 1 and 12. We are definitely on a budget and can't afford much in the way of gifts, but don't want to just get them nothing. Any ideas on small, generic stocking stuffer type gifts we could get them? We live 5 hours away from them, so we don't get to interact with them very often, but we do see them every Christmas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think all kids like art stuff, but also think there are several inexpensive games that are popular. Spot it! is a great game and they have several sports team ones, could be fun to get them ones for their local sports team.

Every year, our family has a Christmas party with all of our extended family—aunts, uncles, cousins, their kids, their kids’ kids... I bring something for the little kids. One year I got these capes and they are really pretty nice for the price. It’s basically just a cheap cape with a Velcro closure, but the fabric was decent and the kids had a blast. I also got the mask and wrist cuffs, but I see that there are others listed that include them. CapesI didn’t buy these, but they include the mask Other capeIf you go down a little to where they give you other suggestions to purchase, they have sets of capes and masks that you can buy that are crazy cheap.

Sign up for the Michael’s app and get at least 40 per cent off per item. When we were in the department with crayons etc a few months ago they had the crayons your kids put their fingers in the color. We haven’t seen them since our kids were little.

My first graders love the magnetic magic slates. I found mini slates at dollar tree this week (name brand).
Other dollar tree finds have been: scented twistable crayons, play doh and tools, dice games like lcr, a bowling dice game, card games, puzzles, matchbox cars, mini figures.

How many different families? Maybe you can give a family gift.
We do zoo memberships (or GC passes) for the families that have small kiddos.
We buy yearly memberships for our neighbors, and a few of our niece/nephews families.
They all say they are the best gift ever—they are open year round, and they go a lot.
A yearly family membership to our zoo is $80

Unfortunately, I don't live anywhere near a TJ and apparently they don't do online ordering? I could not find a way to order online, too bad.

I make my great nieces and nephews ornaments every year with their pictures. Their parents love them. They are appreciated for years to come! If you don't have time or crafty inclination try photobarn.com. I purchase those for my adult children.
