There are so many choices, of course the most known medic alert says they are the best for the job. Ive even seen them on etsy, I want it to be something I wont mind wearing every day, but I also want it to be spotted right away. So I guess to cutesy might be bad too.
Help! Anyone have any experience or preferences!

EMT have told me not to go with cute ones. They so go with just a basic one easy to find. I had to stop wearing mine after M was born. If fell off one night in his crib and I did not know it. So really need to order a new one. The do have one that is a usb drive.

I have the large Medic Alert tag, but I attached it to a Trollbeads bracelet and have lots of different charms.
I'm in the ER at least a couple of times a year, and the nurses and EMTs have no problem identifying my bracelet as a Medic Alert.
I got two of the clasps and attached one to either side of the Med Alert tag and bought a shorter bracelet chain. That way the Tag is still visible, but since I never take the bracelet off, it's still pretty.
I really don't mind wearing it, and everyone thinks it's the coolest Med Alert bracelet they've seen since it's still easy to identify.
I also carry a card in my wallet with my medical diagnoses, current meds, names of doctors, etc. I also have ICE numbers in my phone.
I don't use my cell phone that much, but dh feels better with me having a smart phone so he can locate me by locating my phone. He did that once when I was on a trip. I was waiting for a friend who was going to call me when she was ready for lunch. I was waiting in an nearby store and didn't realize I didn't have any service at the back of the store.
I also use the navigation all the time because since my stroke, I have no sense of direction anymore, and my mom gets very turned around as well. It's just another insurance policy, especially since I'm at a greater risk of having another stroke or having sudden cardiac arrest due to my heart problems.

Cute can work as long as the medical alert emblem is clearly visible. Some of them are on a bracelet with a dozen other charms of the same size so are in danger up not being seen. As long as you keep in mind the primary reason for wearing it emergency help, not fashion, you'll pick one that is as pretty as it can be while still being functional.

Thanks everyone! I don't want to find something to bulky where I wont want to wear it everyday. I have 2 alex and ani and I really prefer to only wear one I find 2 bulky to me. So I may go with simple!
Thanks again

Thanks, Brandy, for that great link. I'm allergic to morphine and fear waking up in a hospital covered in an itching rash.

I have several fun ones from www.laurenshope.com . I just make sure they are water proof since I never take it off unless I'm putting a new one on.

Check out things remembered. They have a nice variety. My daughter has a severe latex allergy And she doesn't mind wearing her bracelet at all.

I had terrible luck with the Lauren's Hope ones. After about the 3rd one breaking, I quit buying from them. I ordered one from this guy for casual wear Paracord MedicAlert.

The ones we ordered came with like 8 different band colors. He wore the red one for a full year before it started to tear. He's now onto orange. They really hold up well!
