Gee, Sherry V just sent out the email this morning that she and her husband Keith have decided to close the store. That means their message board too.
This kind of news is always so sad! I really enjoyed shopping there and Sherry was a great asset to the industry. It sounds like they are off to new adventures though so, for that I'm happy for them!

I haven't heard of them before, but it's sad that they need to close their doors too.

Yes, it's so sad that they're closing - they're one of our very few local stores (well, about an hour's drive local) left in the DFW area and it was quite a blow for them to close. We've lost four local stores in the past few years, it's really sad. Her store had an excellent selection, her crops were always a lot of fun, and she and her family are very warm and welcoming. They will be sorely missed.

I remember back in the heyday when that was THE place to check for new Quickutz designs and to see the new alphabet reveals. Ah, the good old days. I ordered from them a few times, years and years ago. Very sad to see another casualty.

Awwww..........Sherry has been there from the start of Quickutz! She was a small start up store that grew and grew. Her crops always sounded amazing. That makes me sad that they are closing.

I hadn't heard of them, but that's a bummer. Sad to see so many scrap businesses close up shop.

Remember When is located in a small town in the North Texas area. They carried some great stuff both online and in the store. I hate to see them close as well and wish Sherry all the best.

Awww...so sad to hear. Shop Remember When was where I placed my first QK order. I remember the old days of being excited for the monthly releases. Actually I am surprised they lasted this long, Isn't Whitesboro a small town? Obviously they did something right.

That is so sad. I also got most of my QK there because she made it affordable. If I'm remembering right, because this was such a long time ago, she had payment plans. That's the reason I was able to grow my collection. She was always very friendly.

Back in the day I used to shop there all the time for QK dies. I used to love reveal day. I honestly thought they went out of business years ago. I am sorry that you are loosing your store as there are just so few left.

I bought my first QuicKutz alphabets from Sherri V. In fact, I found out later that my first QK alphabet, Sonja, upper, lower and numbers was one Sherri had earmarked for herself. I FINALLY got the little pinto with saddle and blanket die that was Sherri's custom QK die from eBay a year or so ago. By the time I could buy it, Sherri no longer had any on her site.
I ordered quite a bit of my first QK from Sherri.

Another big Sherri V customer here. I used to buy my QK there, too -- her prices on alphabets couldn't be beat, and she always got them in quickly, right after they were released. I don't have all of them, but when I wanted a particular one, I could pay a little at a time for it. She was always friendly, and I wondered how she could handle so many crazy orders and still remain so nice. (I couldn't do it, that's for sure!)

More sad news. She had the greatest QK exclusive dies there, and I loved the ones I got.

It is sad for us as customer's but I was there when Sherri and Keith made the announcement at their annual retreat. they have decided that their lives are taking a turn and that while the store is doing well, they want to go out when they are ready, which is now. they have had the store open for 10 years, but she was selling Quickutz via email long before that
It will be sad that they won't be there, I have made many great friends through that store, she has always had the BEST customer service, and would get anything you needed. It is hard to think that they won't be there much longer.

Glad to hear that the store is still doing well. I remember it as one of the best I've ever been to (visited there several years ago while in town for the Great American Scrapbook Convention). Always sad to hear of an LSS closing, but at least this one wasn't because of lack of business or poor management.

So sad to hear Remember When is closing! A good part of my huge QK collection comes from there. She had the best customer service and the best international shipping one could imagine. I even made it on the first design team they had. Ah, so many happy memories! I wish Sherri and Keith all the best for the future!
