New Evidence linkNatasha Bertrand.. ”Um holy sh*t. This certainly makes it sound like Parnas and co. were actively tracking Yovanovitch's movements. This could explain why Yovanovitch was moved out of Ukraine so quickly. intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/… I read the messages with Hyde tonight and I am reading that not only were they actively tracking her, they were looking at ways of eliminating her. Couple that with Trump told Zelensky that Yovanovitch was "going to go through some stuff" suggests he knew exactly what was happening. This is huge. I expected there to be something that Lev Parnas wanted to share but this is scarier than I expected.

”Trump’s trade deal with China won’t give many U.S. companies relief, as most tariffs will remain”

”Reminder as Trump signs phase 1 "deal":

And who pays these tariffs? U.S. consumers and businesses”

You know who is watching this very intently, maybe even taking notes! Moscow, Russia (CNN) The entire Russian government is resigning, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced Wednesday, after Vladimir Putin proposed sweeping reforms that could extend his decades-long grip on power beyond the end of his presidency.Putin thanked members of the government for their work but added that "not everything worked out." Putin added that in the near future he would meet with each member of the cabinet. The mass resignation includes Medvedev. The surprise announcement came after Putin proposed constitutional amendments that would strengthen the powers of the prime minister and parliament at the expense of the presidency. Taking power from the presidency and handing it to parliament could signal a power shift that has been long speculated about in Russia. Putin's critics have suggested that he is considering various scenarios to retain control of the country after his presidential term ends in 2024, including the option of becoming prime minister with extended powers. Similarly, in 2008 Putin swapped places with the prime minister to circumvent the constitutional provision banning the same person from serving two consecutive terms. ** www.cnn.com/2020/01/15/europe/russian-government-resigns-vladimir-putin-reforms-intl/index.html

Question : Why do you oppose free college for all. Pete Buttigieg’s answer, ”There's a very real choice about what we do with every single taxpayer dollar that we raise. We need to be using that to support everybody. Whether you go to college or not. #DemDebate” He’s right. Perhaps I’m missing something, but this argument doesn’t make sense to me. Not everyone will be supported by programs like WIC, SNAP, Medicaid, Veterens programs, etc. But it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t choose to spend our tax dollars on them.

Marie Yovanovitch was being stalked by mobbed-up goons. Yet, Morning Joe and other morning shows are leading with Liz v Bernie faux feud and how “dull” the Democratic Debate was.

I don’t think this quote alone really explains his position - which is that we should NOT use taxpayer money to pay for the children of millionaires to attend college. I’m guessing he’s saying those dollars could be better spent on something/someone else.

"The new documents also introduced a new character in the drama over the ambassador’s ouster: a Republican congressional candidate from Connecticut who asserted to Parnas in messages that he had Yovanovitch under physical and electronic surveillance. “Wow. Can’t believe Trumo [sic] hasn’t fired this b----,” Robert F. Hyde wrote in an encrypted message to Parnas on March 23. “I’ll get right [on] that.” Hyde described having contact with a “private security” team located near the embassy that was apparently monitoring the ambassador’s movements.
“She’s talked to three people. Her phone is off. Computer is off,” he wrote in one message.“They will let me know when she’s on the move,” he said in another. Later, he alerted Parnas that he had been told Yovanovitch would not be moved to a “special security unit.” AD “They are willing to help if we/you would like a price,” he said in one note. “Guess you can do anything in the Ukraine with money . . . what I was told.”Hyde did not explain how his team might “help” Parnas, who responded only with “lol.” When asked for comment by The Washington Post in a text message, Hyde replied: “Sorry I can’t talk right now.”" www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ukraine-prosecutor-offered-information-related-to-biden-in-exchange-for-ambassadors-ouster-newly-released-materials-show/2020/01/14/cc45d19e-371e-11ea-9541-9107303481a4_story.htmlI am ill.

Well, he said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and still get elected. I guess he thinks he can stalk someone (or worse) in Ukraine and still get re-elected!!
Unbelievable that this is a President of the United States we're talking about!

yeah- a couple of his text messages very clearly stated "I have someone on the inside" who was alerting him about her movements. blech. I listened to Fresh Air on NPR this morning; it was about a new book relating to Trump, the Enquirer, catch-and-kill and the payoffs to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal... there's a term in the title of the book that's pretty apt for the entire Trump orbit, I think: book title: "The Fixers-- The Bottom Feeders, Crooked Lawyers, Gossipmongers and Porn Stars Who Created the 45th President"Bottom Feeders is a PERFECT name for all of them... although *leeches* or *swamp scum* would be better, IMO. Bottom feeding fish are actually helpful to the environment, from what I remember from biology class. These guys are helpful ONLY to the criminal-in-chief (either because he's giving them something, or he's got something on them).

That is why I think he is right.

”Rep. Doug Collins: "This impeachment process has been flawed from the outset. It resembles not a congressional action, it resembles more a Dr. Seuss book, knowing not which way it goes." abcn.ws/3agvKdN”
All the while ignoring the new information released yesterday that provided at least 2 pieces of “troubling” information that should “concern” lawmakers.
1. The personnel attorney of a sitting president approached the head of a foreign country on his behalf as an individual and not as president of theUnited States.
2. A US Ambassador was stalked and possibly threatened by individuals surrounding the idiot in The White House.

The president in action...
Daniel Dale...
”Trump, at the signing of his preliminary trade deal with China, says Sen. Lindsey Graham is a "much better golfer than people would understand." Moments later, he mocks former FBI director James Comey. He then falsely says "you don't hear complaints about the VA anymore."
“Trump says they like him in Alaska. Then, mentioning Rep. Mark Meadows, he says, "His wife actually supported me long before him. But he thinks I don't know that." He then starts talking at length about fireworks in South Dakota.”
”Trump on China's role in dealing with Kim Jong Un: "It's all a very, very beautiful game of chess, or game of poker, or, I can't use the word checkers, 'cause it's far greater than any checker game that I've ever seen, but it's a very beautiful mosaic."
Finally Daniel Dale abandoned the speech on his editor’s orders.
”I've abandoned this speech. Per @kevinliptakcnn, Trump did not begin discussing the trade deal he was signing until he spoke for more than 40 minutes. China's vice premier was just standing there impassively.”
Maybe this is why people will vote for trump because he embarrasses the country in public.

Unfortunately, the laundry list of things we will need to pay for is growing every day of the trump presidency as Republicans kick the can down the road on things that should be addressed now. They are delaying needed maintenance to find the wall. They are cutting back environmental protections that will result in public clean-up sorts in the future. And on and on.... So yes, something like free college for all is a deal-breaker for me. That is not a wise use of funds, and if the “free” doesn’t have some strings attached, it will eventually lead to higher education costs overall, just like student loans did.

That is why I think he is right. I guess as with anything, I want to know what the distinction between "who can afford it" and "who can't" is. Probably would end up being another situation where the middle class gets screwed. That’s exactly what I was thinking. Looking at our income and number of people in our household, DH and I are considered comparitively wealthy. But our medical costs completely tank that. If we had a child to put through college I feel like we would be screwed, or have to take on tons of loans if they didn’t get any scholarships. Barring catostrophic medical expenses, I have no problem with the obviously super wealthy not getting their children’s higher education paid for, but I have concerns about the rest of it. As with almost anything, I don’t think the idea should be completely tanked because I don’t agree with all of it. It’s frustrating for me when someone presents an idea and because it is not a complete (almost perfect) solution it is dismissed out of hand. The homeless situation is an example. I remember reading what I considered some pretty good ideas that would address a decent part of the population, but they were dismissed because they didn’t address everything. . I don’t mind some of these “pie in the sky” propositions because it isn’t expected that everything would be implemented and paid for all at once. But rather, it’s an ideal we strive meet to the best of our abilities (and budget) in layers. Of course there will always need to be modifications once things are implemented, and as needs change in the future.
