I have a number of wood mounted stamps that need to be removed and made into cling stamps. I am thinking of trying Tack’n Peel instead of ez mount. I read that it can be also be applied to a piece of cling film then used with a stamp platform too. Has anyone used this product, and have you used it with stamping platforms?

I didn't have any luck using it with vinyl. It would pop off too easily. I lucked into an extra TH positioner (vendor sent me the full size when I ordered the travel size and told me to keep it) so I put tack and peel on it permanently. I already had a full size one so now I have one plain and one with tack and peel. Plus the travel size one.
I'm slightly ashamed to admit I also have a MISTI and a stampin up stamparatus with spare plates. 😂

Which side of the lid did you apply the Tack’n Peel to for it to work properly?

I did this with my stamps years ago and used Aleene's Tack It Over and Over Glue. It works great!
Some stamps are more difficult to remove from the blocks than others. You may microwave them, but that can be a pain when working on a large quantity at one time. I kept my heat tool near my work area and used it.

Hi, I have recently discovered a great solution to using unmounted stamps on my tim holtz plarform. Went to purpleoniondesigns.com. They have a 6”x6” and a 4”x6” piece of clear stamp. Stays very well on platform and stamps cling to it great. Looks like a piece of tack and peel but isn’t as tacky. Washes with soap and water. I leave it on my positioner and have been using it with my clear stamps too. Have had awesome results with all my stamping on Christmas cards this year. Had lots of older unmounted rubber ones I had about given up on, but now use with ease. Hope this helps.

I assume you use it on the rubber stamp side?

Yes that is how I use it. I did try tack n peel a while back, but is was too sticky in my opinion. 😉

They do for a few seconds but fall off, especially if I try to restamp them.
