Want one and would like to know too. On my wish list for Christmas.
Would like to attach it to one of the dogs - see avatar. Could be interesting.

What is the intended use?
We have a 1st generation GoPro from when they first came out 3 years ago. I plan to upgrade it for my DH Birthday/Christmas present. I plan to get him the Hero4 because he uses his for his cycling events, zip lining, in the ocean, etc.

got one for my DH for our anniversary a month or so ago. told him not to open it yet and see if he wanted to trade for the new release. when he looked at the specs for the new release he decided that the one he had was better for us. (and he is one that really likes the latest technology.)

My DH has been researching for months and finally decided on a Sony HDR-AS100VR. I'll admit that I just googled it to insert a link and had no idea he paid that much for it!! We are going to Cuba in February so having underwater and view remote kit was important to him. So far the kids have been chasing each other around the house or attaching it to the dog, so a very expensive toy!

The newest one is on my son's list for a graduation gift. He has the second one right now. He has used parasailing, snorkeling, zipping, jet skiing, wake boarding, snowboarding and you name it. He loves putting the videos together.
