Never mind: the link only brings you to the front page of 2Peas, but not to the thread itself. Carry on! ******************************** In case anyone needs a Chanukah Brisket recipe, here’s a thread I started in Dec 2004: web.archive.org/web/20041204105853/http://twopeasinabucket.com:80/I was elaine&2boys back then. I miss **Susan** (different person than our Susan here) and Fern. It is fun to see Melissa posting back then too, and pretty funny that Lauren deleted her posts on that thread too. Although it may be that they were deleted after one of her bannings. Fern was a lovely Pea. We used to have a group of Orange County Peas who would get together for dinner once a month. We had so much fun. I think I'm the only one from the group who is here though. I used to go some of those dinners and an occasional scrap day or night somewhere. I still lurk but don’t post often. Fern is on Facebook and living the life.

All those toots on the pub page. I always thought that board was full of S@#t much of the time and I can see with all those toots I wasn't wrong. Never liked it when many on that board thought SBR was just for newbies and they were so bored yawn with answering questions about scrapping. Yuck. i I always had mixed feelings about the Pub board. It wasn’t all bad. I felt the same way about the photography board. Some good people and fun things there, but there were a few that made it hard to swallow sometimes.

I was on Unscrappable, too. I mainly hung out over there because everything over here seemed to be about babies and lactating and stuff. The scrapbook industry was very frustrating to me- I liked scrapping but all of the supplies seemed geared towards moms. So I liked hanging out over there with the single people. I didn't post much over here because it was scary. I loved how fast the board went but if you said the wrong thing there was a huge pile on and my fragile self couldn't stand the heat. I absolutely loved reading it, though. I'm so glad this board is still around, even though we are so old I don't read much about lactating any more.

Sometimes I think back on my time at 2Peas and marvel at what a jackass I was. There were times I was trying to tickle my funny bone, other times just an angry person taking out my life on this board. Often I miss the fun of 2Peas but I wish I had not been such an asshole too, particularly the Therapea death when I thought her son was her pretending to be him. I regret that.

Generally, I don't think I was too much of an asshole, but I did have some moments as well. I think it shows a lot that you can identify this. Unfortunately, some people are still stuck in those destructive ways of behaving/thinking.

How do you read the threads? When I click on them it says they aren't available. What am I doing wrong?

SockMonkey regularly posting memes and not gifs was a bit discombobulating I have evolved into my final form.

I was 8 months pg with yds. I didn't see me post in the pregnant pea thread. I wonder if I was around much I didn't realise that we both have sons so close in age. As I posted on another page when this thread first started, I was 6 months pregnant with my son at the time. I couldn't find many of my posts, so I mustn't have been very active back then. Our boys are nearly 16 now!!! Do you believe it?

Wow. I was much more of a lurker back then, so I was super surprised to find a thread I started on that link!
I was 16 weeks pregnant with my first looking for German peas to help me direct my dad to the Birkenstock factory lol.
Update to that thread - he did send me 2 pairs and my fat preggo feet were so grateful. And I wore them for my next pregnancy too! 😂😂

With the recent thread about memories of the crazy things that have happened in pea-ville, I wanted to bump this for those who missed it before. click the link in the OP, then you can actually READ OLD THREADS from 2004 !!! I still have many that I want to read, but I had forgotten about this. Have fun! Thanks again, The Great Carpezio !!!!

Sheesh, the very first thread called "Who Would Have Thought" posted by Lauren (who went by " lulusmom") took me down quite the rabbit hole! Also, interesting tidbit---it SAYS it's 2-pages, but when you read it, it was actually 4 pages. Wow, I wasn't on the board very much back in 2004, so I had NO idea who "lulusmom" was and why she was so controversial.

SO funny! A post from me was on the first page, the LIVID one. I had totally forgotten about that (my 9yr old went to the pool with a friend/his mom, they left him there). He was NINE then, a baby! lol He is 26 now. Wow.

Gosh, finding these old threads is such a time warp. I miss so many of those names. i'm glad for FB because I'm still friends with most of them.
Ah that avatar of my younger self!
There were a few threads I really wanted to re-read and was bummed there was nothing there.
Like, what the heck name Madonna was going to be going by? She changed her name I don't remember that at all!

I discovered the board when my kid was an infant; she is now almost 19.

Anyone who forgot how conservative the board was should check out some of those threads. Wow. No SHIT! I was just reading the thread on Page 2 about how “One nation, under God” was being left in the Pledge. The vast majority of Peas were happy about it, and were praising God. I would LOVE to know how that thread would go now. And the funniest thing in the thread…. One person said that it should never have been added as it wasn’t traditionally part of the pledge. Then someone else said “Gay marriage isn’t traditional either. Are you for that?” And then the first Pea said “I am NOT going to discuss this here, please stick to the OP, that is the POLITE thing to do.” Hahahahahahaha hahahahahahaha! When do we EVER stick to the OP? You know what would be fun? We should start the exact same threads on today's board and see what happens! That was me that started the thread! My how my views have changed. I remember it clearly because it was the first time posting on NSBR and having zero idea about its history😲 I was clueless.

oh gosh page 17 about Netflix..omg remember the Netflix ques? Everyone talking about how fast delivery of their 3 movies got delivered. Wow, different world! All the posts about Regan's funeral have me oh to have a President again that commands so much respect. I'll never forget his funeral, and paying my respects at his library while he lie in state. Waiting the entire night in that massive line.

One of my digiscrap friends posted for the first time in NSBR: How to word a sign asking people to take their shoes off. She had no idea what she was opening up, and I just had to giggle, because she was the sweetest, least controversial person ever!
