Do you iron underwear, sheets, pillowcases, towels? I once worked with a person and he admitted to ironing his sheets. I think anyone who does that has too much time on their hands When I was in college, my sister was my roommate one year. I was student teaching and certainly didn't have time or energy to make my bed in the morning. So she would make my bed for me. Not only that but she would straighten out the wrinkles in her sheets before she went to bed at night. Crazy! Do you fold your underwear? Heck no, if it's one thing that's going to get all messed up and wrinkly that's it. No folding or ironing it for me. Just throw it in the drawer and shut it. Done!

I don't iron anything and everything gets either folded or hung.

What's an iron? Underwear doesn't wrinkle so it just gets tossed in the undies drawer. When I used to fold it it just got messed up anyway so why bother?

I think anyone who does that has too much time on their hands I'll be honest, I really hate that phrase. We all have the same 24 hours in a day and we all get to choose how we spend it. What's a priority for one person isn't necessarily the same for another person. And I think that's ok. Some people spend 3 hours a day reading or watching tv. Some people spend 2 hours a day cleaning. Some people scrapbook and so on. To answer your question, I don't iron any of those things but I fold them all. I don't necessarily make my bed when I get out out of it in the morning but before I get back in I straighten the blankets and sheets as if I were making it. I can't sleep well if the sheets of blanket have bunches in the material.

I get out the wrinkles. I don't want to sleep on creases. I iron every six weeks or so. I have a lot of clothes so I don't have to iron more than that.

I iron as little as possible much to my father's dismay. He irons everything, right down to his socks and boxers.
DH was trying to guilt me into ironing a shirt for him one time, confident that every one of my friends ironed their DH's shirts. He stopped calling the guys after the second "no". I will give him a hand if he is a bind, but I do not iron regularly for anyone.

I love to iron. When my daughters were younger, I used to spend all day Monday washing and ironing. I loved it. I still iron all my clothes.

My t-shirts are all folded. I put the crease of the t-shirt facing up (deep drawers) so I can see all of my shirts when I open a drawer. I can fit 25 shirts or more in a drawer.

I know it is a common saying for things we just think are crazy to do.

"I think anyone who does that has too much time on their hands" I don't mean it literally. Of course we can choose to do what we want and decide how much time we want to spend on any activity. It's just that sometimes someone does something that many people would think is out of the ordinary, not the norm. It's in reference to that. Not that they literally have too much time on their hands. When my mom was alive and she would write me a check, she would enter the amount into her check register. Then in the space underneath not only would she write my first name but she would write my last name also. Considering my initials are Z.Z. it wasn't confusing as to who the check was written to. I might have said that she has too much time on her hands.

I don't iron anything. I do, however, fold my underwear in half and stack them neatly in my dresser.

My gripe is with my SIL who does way too much stuff for other people and then gives me the woe is me treatment.

No to ironing any of those things, but yes to folding them all. I like the drawers & shelves to look neat, and for me folding accomplishes that.

No to all. I do fold all laundry and put away, but I only iron a few items that I hang dry (clothes I don't want to shrink in the dryer). All of my workout clothes, tennis outfits, kids athletic shorts/pants, are hung to dry (no ironing needed). My mom, however, irons almost everything. I did not inherit that gene.

I just think there are other things that could be said instead. I just meant it could come across as offensive. It's kind of like saying, "You're such a cow!" after someone steps on your foot. Of course you don't mean that someone is a cow, but still, that is a rude/offensive thing to say. Just my 25 cents worth.

Do you iron underwear, sheets, pillowcases, towels? Do you fold your underwear? I iron my shirts, some blouses, some dresses and skirts and a few slacks. I iron my cotton and linen slips, half slips and camisoles. Sometimes I will iron SOME of the (top) sheets or pillowcase (the ones with a decorative trim). And I iron my linen towels (used for food prep and baking) and sometimes napkins and table cloths. I do fold underwear, socks, tops, t-shirts and nightwear. DH does his own ironing, and that is mostly his workwear.

I very, very, very rarely iron a shirt or anything for that matter. OTOH my DH and both sons iron a lot of their stuff
No clue where it came from.

I iron A LOT...and I hate it all. I iron DH's work shirts, DS's school shirts and my work clothes. We used to dry clean DH's shirts but they smell like chemicals so I started doing it instead. DS has to wear collar shirts and they need ironed...I can't wait till next year when his high school allows tshirts. And most of my work clothes need an iron.
I can't stand unironed clothes yet I hate ironing...it's a lose/lose situation.

What needs to be ironed, I steam. Best $100 I ever spent.

I iron everything except socks, underwear, towels and coats. I do iron sheets and pillowcases, shirts, t-shirts, jeans, slacks, blouses, sweaters, etc. I love the look of freshly ironed clothing. I don't like to take things to get laundered because they smell funny to me. ETA: I fold everything neatly or hang up stuff. (In matching hangers (hee hee hee hee)).

I iron or use the steamer on just about everything except towels, underwear or sheets. I have a tabletop presser (like the press dry cleaners use) that is great for getting a sharp crease in pants. I feel more put together in freshly ironed clothes.
Yes, I fold underwear and I match and fold socks.

Growing up. My mom (and then I) ironed EVERYTHING! Jeans, underwear, sheets, tea towels, you name it. Now I only iron a few items, dress shirts when needed, or sheets out of nostalgia for the crispy "feel".

Since my DH retired 6 months ago I no longer iron. I do fold or hang everything and put it away. My mom used to iron all our pillow cases and I love how they feel but I am not motivated to iron my own

I don't iron laundry. Colossal waste of my time. I own an iron but only use it if a piece needs it when it's to be worn. As for folding. Not really. Especially underwear... that's such a waste of time.

Downey Wrinkle Release. The best thing that has ever been invented since the wheel. Maybe even better. I never ever iron...except random pieces of linen clothing in the summer time. The item is hung up somewhere, spritzed with the Downey Wrinkle Release and BOOM. Wrinkles just fall out. When in a pinch, you can even spray that shit on your clothes while wearing them. Don't ask my kids how I know this.

I've ironed twice this year: DH's gown so he wouldn't look a wrinkled mess at graduation and DS' s shirt and pants for his homecoming dance. I wasted too many years in retail, having to iron my outfits every stinking day, to voluntarily iron again. As much as possible I refuse to buy dry clean only clothes because they often are the ones that require ironing. (Linen!)
So, I've never ironed sheets, towels, jeans, or underwear. I do fold my underwear just so that it fits in the drawer and I can find it more easily.
