I use a white cardstock I got at Walmart for card bases, but don't think they carry it anymore. Any recommendations for a good but cheap white CS? Thanks!

I use Michael's Recollections brand 110 lb. card stock. I think it's about $15 for a 100 sheet pack, before coupons.

Thanks to the Peas, I've been using the CS listed by freeatlast for card bases. I also use the black and cream versions. Even though its not a black-black it still works for bases and sentiment strips.

I got some at Staples that’s been decent, but I also use Neenah, and Michaels brands.

Any recommendations for a good but cheap white CS? Thanks! My issue is I cannot find good but cheap. The Neenah is great, and I love it, but cheap it is not. M's is cheap, but it is super crappy. I haven't tried the 110 pound yet, they don't seem to carry that at my M's. But if I can find it and use a 50% off coupon, that would make it 7 bucks, which is reasonable.

Maybe try Hobby Lobby’s 110 if you have one. Their brand is 50% off this week.

My favorite is Neenah Bright White. I get it at Walmart.

It’s in large packs of 50? 100? sheets.

Michael's 110lb comes in 100 sheets and lots of good colors too. I love the gray shades. Joann's and Hobby Lobby's 100 lb cardstock it sames really flimsy to me.

I haven't checked in awhile, but in Canada, the Michaels/Recollections 110lb white paper is considered everyday value so you can't use a coupon, thus is $20 CAD (here's hoping that it may have changed!). So for this reason, I am looking for an alternative 110lb paper for cardstock bases...any suggestions in Canada?

I was using that same cardstock because it was heavy but would go through my printer. I am sad that it isn't made anymore. I am looking for a new one too. All the other 110 lb papers won't go thru my printer. I will watch this thread.

All the other 110 lb papers won't go thru my printer. I had this happen to me, I had this great idea where I would just use my work computer and type up a bunch of sentiments I liked, just general ones, and print it out on the cardstock, so I had sentiments at the ready. Well, tried to run it through and it got stuck. I felt so dumb! No one at my work thinks anything of making an occasional personal copy, but only I tried to shove 110# cardstock in the machine.

Anyone have experience with Joann's Core'dinations 110lb cs? I bought a package this weekend for just manual die-cutting but I'm curious how it does with the Cameo.

I think that's the stuff I got recently. Heavy weight and a slightly bluer-white than the Neenah. I think it's the same weight as the Neenah 110 (in real life as well as what the package says, which I never trust. I weighed it!). I've used it for card bases. Sorry, I can't comment on using it in the cameo though.

I'll use my Cameo with it maybe tonight and see how it does.

I finally took time to check more specific details. I’ve been using mostly the Staples 110 lb. white card stock. It comes in a ream of 250.
I have a Canon TS8220 printer, which prints photos beautifully, and which has a rear tray. It was a relatively affordable printer. I found it at Best Buy during the summer.
The printer has a rear tray, which allows me to print on this card stock for print and cut with my Cameo 3. I do not use this card stock for printing photos, but I do use it extensively for print and cut and for stamping.
I can’t remember what I paid for the Staples card stock, but I bought 2 reams. I just finished going through the first one. I teach a card class, and this is the card stock I have been using when I needed white card bases, or other card parts.
It’s not as cheap as the Michaels white card stock with a coupon or on sale, but I like it better.

I also use the Staples white card stock - 199gsm, not too terribly priced up here in Canada. Not sure if Staples ever has sales on it, but the pack has lasted me multiple years so far and still going. Sometimes Michaels does sales on their Everyday Value stuff including bulk cardstock packs, but it's not often. I grabbed a pack of 300gsm last time it happened. For basic card bases though I've been happy with the Staples. It runs through our Epson printer (top-loading) with no troubles, which is a bonus.

For those who like Walmart's Pen Gear cardstock, they are now carrying it again. My DD bought me 5 reams at her Walmart and I saw several cases of it at our Walmart last week.
It is 110 lb 92 bright and it goes through my printer. It's about $6 for 150 sheets.

My Hobby Lobby has heavy weight that wasn’t thick enough for me for my card bases. This past weekend I stopped at another HL and they had extra heavy weight cardstock. I bought it and I think it will work really well for my bases. I think it might be slightly lighter weight than the super thick Neenah I love. But it’s not flimsy and at 50% off their brand, the price is definitely right!
