I have teeny tiny ears, and have yet to find earbuds that will actually work for me. The set I have right now have the smallest “squishy” part I’ve found, and they still hurt my left ear. I’ve tried searching for child size earbuds online but it doesn’t seem like they have the actual in-ear sizes listed.
Does anyone have recommendations, or can you help me know how to search?
Thanks!

I'll be watching this, as I have the same issue. It's why I haven't bought Airbuds==I know they will hurt my ears after about 30 minutes. I have a pair of noise canceling old-style headphones that work, but they are bulky to fly with. I only take them on trans Atlantic flights.

I'm watching too. Itty bitty ear insides.

I hate to be a spoiler, but you might not be able to find such a thing. Most recommendations I’ve seen are that kids should have over the ear headphones and not ear buds. Our kid has had to have headphones for school for the last four years and the supply lists always specify traditional over the ear kid sized head phones that have a built in volume limit. They don’t want the kids to bring ear buds at all.
Having said that, I have trouble with standard ear buds (and foam ear plugs too) because I have small ear canals too. I find that the shape of the Apple ear buds fit my ears better than the traditional round ones, and even the squishy ones start to hurt before too long so I always keep my Apple earbuds that came with my phone in my purse.

I’m watching too. I have even googled earbuds for kids and haven’t found any.

This makes sense. I’m glad they’re moving away from the into-the-ear buds. I did receive some buds with my iPhone but there is no possible way they’re going to go into my ear canals. I should keep my eyes open for some other apple ones, maybe I’ll get lucky and find some like yours. My daughter shoots trap, and I really struggled to find plugs that would work. Even the youth size foam ones that you can smash up would unsmash faster than I could cram them into my ears. For Christmas a couple years ago my DH got me a custom earplugs kit, and those are fantastic! I even thought about getting another kit and embedding a cheap set of earbuds into them. I had to go to an ENT several years ago, and he told me that my left eustachian tube is about the size of a 3 month old’s. 🤦♀️

I have issues with finding earbuds that work. After years of searching I finally found Yurbuds work for me after seeing them posted on here. Unfortunately they have been bought out by JBL and they changed the bud. They still are *okay* but are not the best. I bought several pair of the old style Yurbuds when I found them and ordered a couple of sets of the covers to have just in case.

Many years ago I worked in a reservations center for an airline. We had a man come in who made hearing aids. He made a mold of our ear and then made custom buds for us. I think it was about $35 for one bud, but this was in 1983. You might check with a hearing aid company to see if they do something like this.

I've tried so many brands of earbuds, and haven't found any that I can wear without pain, if I can wear them at all. There is obviously a market for adults with tiny ears, hey Bose, maybe you should explore that! For our last anniversary, my husband bought me a pair of really good over the ear headphones (with on/off noise cancelling) and a case for them. He even got them in purple for me. He decided I needed something that actually worked for me because I've been, and will continue to be travelling a lot more since in the last 6 months my dad passed away and my nephew's first baby was born. My mom is in Omaha now, and I drove up in Nov, but my nephew is back home (NH), so no chance I'm driving there. I'm more likely to fly to Omaha too since it's pretty cheap to do from Denver, and it's about an hour and a half flight vs eight and half driving. I can't wait to use them on a plane for the first time later this month.

Have you looked at Bose? Their earbuds come with multiple sizes of tips. Until I discovered those, I was never able to wear earbuds. I use the smallest size they make. Bose SoundSport Free ear buds

Mine are small too. I've found when they come with 3 sizes of tips, the smallest one is the one I need.
I have Apple Airpods. I found some slip on tips for them on Amazon, I got them in small. Without the tips, they hurt my ear in about 15 minutes (or less).
And I just got Apple Airbuds Pro. The smallest tip works for me and I love these!!!

I've got small canals too and after 20 minutes or so my ears ache. I ended up just buying a Bose over the ear headphones for home and air-travel. If we're traveling and go on a tour or on one of the buses where you plug in an listen, I tough it out with the smallest cushion.

I've got tiny ears too. When I flew with a sinus infection my ENT recommended Earplane earplugs and I couldn't fit into the adult size but the children's size fit perfectly for me.
I got an Ipod years ago and didn't test the Apple earbuds that came with it until I was on the trans-Atlantic flight. The white circular ear bud kept falling right out of my ear. I thought I was doing something wrong but nope-they didn't fit in my ear at all. Darn! Lesson learned-test everything before you leave.
The last few years I've really enjoyed using Sennheiser earbuds. That last style I bought was CX200 twist to fit earbuds in 2018 for $29.99. For their low price the quality of sound is very good and I'm picky. Best of all they come with 3 sizes of earbud (foam) choices and the smallest choice is just right for me. If you are looking for a pair that doesn't cost in the hundred to two hundred range this might be a great choice.

I've been seeing an advertisement for a headband that has headphones built in. It looks so comfy - in fact the advertisement claims it is good for laying on a pillow. My ear canals are small also and I seem to only be able to wear the buds for 30 minutes before the pain starts.

We have the same problem.
Little dd gave up in earbuds. I got her the smallest size over the head noise cancelling headphones and she loves them. So I got myself a pair and I love them. Older dd is hanging on to the idea of ear buds but nothing works.

An audiologist or hearing instrument specialist can make custom earbuds for many of the more popular brands (apple, sennheiser).

My ear canals are small also and I seem to only be able to wear the buds for 30 minutes before the pain starts. My husband got me one of these for Christmas. It's like a sweatband with built-in speakers. I haven't tried it yet, but expecting the sweatband will annoy me. I ended up ordering some more of that putty and will try to custom make some with some cheap buds and just take the plastic tips off. I'll come back and update whenever we get around to trying it.
