Hello and Happy New Year boymom5 , patin , Chinagirl828 , teacherlisa , KikiPea , catseatcheese , angel97701 , azcrafty , sleepingbooty , @tammiem2pnc1 craftymom101 ! Wow another year gone. I seriously get blown away by how fast time goes now. I think New Year's Day is probably one of my favorite days of the year. I love that clean slate feeling of it. I usually spend it reflecting on what I want to do with the year and taking it easy. More scrapping is always on my list, but never seems to happen. I really want to make it more of a priority this year and get more done. Hoping to make a small dent in my supplies. I'm excited to take part in the challenges this month. After taking November and December off, my mojo is back! My current plan is to scrap at least one page a week which is about twice my normal output lol Scrap 2020 in the PL app. I've done that for 2019 and it's worked out pretty well. Living alone with grown kids, I don't take as many photos as I used to so the app is working well for staying caught up with the little moments. I'm also going to scrap past years as usual. And then there is also the perennial "lose weight" goal I've been thinking about team names, I'm not good at coming up with names, and I've never been crazy about A-Team - anyone have any suggestions for our team? I'm looking forward to seeing what you all create this month and getting to know you all better!

I haven't been on a team since Sept, and while I've enjoyed the break I've kind of missed being part of a team.
I think I'm going to do a weekly type PL this year. I generally do one every four years and I find it a great way to use up lots of the random and left over embellishments. I really want to work on using my stash as my shopping got a bit out of control towards the end of last year (although I probably say that every year).
No suggestions for team names, that's definitely not my forte.

No name suggestions here either but I will put on my thinking cap! I've been super sick this week with a cold virus. Last two nights I've woken up multiple times coughing, poor DH. I offered to sleep in the other room but he said he would be Okay. Obviously didn't stay up last night and took it really easy today. My goals for crafting this year: Keep my scrap room cleaned up, USE the stash!, scrap at least 8 layouts a month, stay ahead with my DT assignments, mail birthday cards to extended family, Bible journal at least once a week, consider submitting for publication again. I spent time the last two days putting away stamps, dies, etc that have been in my "new play with me first" box for about a year! From 2018's Black Friday sales. Realized I do need to curb purchases in that area as I am very close to storage capacity. Use what I have! I've got many page kits from my retreat in September with Quick Quotes I want to finish, and self-made layout kits that I made for my cropping cruise in November. Ah, the list is long!

Yay for a new year!
My scrappy goals: I’d like to stay up to date for the current year and also work on past years to catch up. Ideally by the end of 2020 I’d have the entire year done plus 2018, 2017 and 2019. I’m currently half way done with 2019 and have bits a pieces of 2018 & 2017 done. I still have so much from 2011-2016 to complete!
I’ve been spending a lot of time lately scrapbooking and I’m hoping for now I can keep it up. I got another 7 pages done today!

Chinagirl828 I pretty well take November and December off from challenges and missing them by January. I've never done physical PL, but found 3 packages of pocket page protectors today, so apparently I've thought about it lol. I did think I might use those for older photos from childhood. I'm not ready to part with them yet lol angel97701 it sounds like you will busy busy busy crafting this month! That's good we can use the points lol! There's been some kind of not quite flu, not quite cold thing going around here. I hope you feel better soon! And boymom5 7 pages! Awesome! I think it's amazing that you get some much done having 5 kids too! KikiPea I want to get a lot done this month too! I need to step up my game lol I've seen a theme running throughout the board of less shopping, more scrapping and I'm definitely in that camp too. I'm going with a 1 in 2 out approach and so far that's working. It's kept me from shopping anyway so far. sleepingbooty 's minimalist challenge has got me sifting through things.

Just now home from the valley . . . over the mountain pass with several inches of snow. Our family went over for another round of iFly Indoor Sky diving wind tunnel. We all had a blast, even though two of us are just kicking this bug and one other with in the midst of the yuk. We spent the night at my parents then headed home this morning. Needless to say no crafting done this weekend. Maybe this week!

I would pass on crafting for a fun weekend like that angel97701! I'm trying to catch up on the share thread, so much lusciousness! Hoping to get my first layout for the year posted soon. I'm working on last years Christmas lol. I haven't printed this year yet - which is kind of unusual, but this was a off year for me as far as Christmas goes. I hope everyone's having a good week so far!

I’m feeling out of my groove right now. I had been doing so well the past two months getting tons of pages done. This month so far I’ve got a slump. We started back up with school and since we homeschool that’s a lot more time planning and teaching for me on top of regular chores. And I’m taking a photoshop class this month which has been great, but I’m finding myself editing so much more and longer to get the skills down!
And we were gone this weekend at an indoor water park for our boys last days of f Christmas break. At least I got some pictures to scrap for the month!
I did three pages this week and that’s it! It’s been 10+ a week so I’m feeling behind!

I highly recommend going, but warn you it is addicting. I am finally getting the hang of it and can enter and exit with minimal assistance from the instructor. Turn right and left, forward and back (mostly), and go up and down in the tunnel. Nothing fancy but truly fun to learn a new skill at 60!
I need to get back into the scrapping mode though, made two cards this week for my DT commitments will share when they go live on my blog. Also have 2 pages done on the month so need to get those posted!

I was going fine until I got to this week. Yesterday was a pretty full on day at work and I was just exhausted by the end of it. I'm thinking an early night and my next book will be my plan. Hopefully later in the week I'll get some time to scrap again.

I have been getting some stuff done, but not as much as I had hoped! I think I have 15 pages for the month? I need to count. I'm really hoping to finish up our past two vacation books and keep working on this year and the rest of last. I'm just running out of time!

Chinagirl828 I know that feeling of leaving it all at work. It sucks! I'm sucked into a novel right now and reading instead of scrapping. boymom5 holy cow 15 pages!! That's amazing! It takes me months to get that many pages done! I have plans to crop with my mom and niece this weekend, so fingers crossed I finish something lol.

And just like that the weekend is practically over Was anyone able to join in on the 2peas pop up crop yesterday? I cropped wit my mom and niece and had to miss that. I'm hoping to pop in for a bit on Tuesday night after work. I have to find a sketch and get a layout done for next week's sketchy Saturday. And watch Chiefs football today! I'm so excited for this game today lol. Going to get some scrapping in around that. I hope everyone is having a productive or relaxing weekend, whichever it is you need! I need some of both!

Not much crafting done . . . MIL spent 10 days in the hospital and is now on a soft food diet. Long story. I finally had the energy to get some crafting done today! Yeah!

Haven't had time to post, but may have time tomorrow night? MIL is doing better, but also dealing with a very up & done 14 year old that we have in counseling for negative self-worth, etc. Been a tough month here!
