Today I had a chance to putter in my scraproom.
I finished three 8.5x11" layouts that I had started previously.
I started & finished four 12x12 layouts.
I made a point to use rub ons on three layouts, Stickles on two, and Prima flowers on two.
I also gave myself permission to toss several mostly-used sticker sheets and rub on sheets that I haven't used in years, that I haven't found a way to make them fit my pages, and are just taking up space.

I was enlisted to use my cricut and make Baby Shark Doo Doo (Two Two) decorations for my nieces bday party. It reminded me how very much I HATE paper piecing and fussy little bits that layer, and how I will never own any Disney Princess cartridges after seeing my friend work for 2 hours on Cinderella, lol. But I am a nice Auntie and they are done now. I told my SIL to get off pinterest. She sees and wants, but does not want to make the stuff herself.

I Once paper pieced a Cinderella from scratch pre die cuts & cutting machines, wish I would have taken a photo. Empire State Building too. Every once in a while I do one for the heck of it. But mostly I do things from punches ( now die cuts too ) - I still have 3or4 of those “Punch your art out” books, she is my idol. Apparently I like fiddly pieces. When I have time, fiddling with the pieces soothes me.

I don't make stuff for non-crafters because they have no idea how much work goes into it.

You ladies have been busy!
I love the look of other people’s layered diecuts, but my lack of dexterity and patience does not do much for my own results. You are, indeed, a good auntie, @kendramage
Four Christmas pages finished today. Two shared. Have an idea for the next set of pages...

I’m Playing with stamps making tags again. I guess this is my new obsession. This time I’m on to birthday & some generic tags
I used about 60% of the Christmas ones I made either as gift tags or in my planner. I wish I had a DD friend nearby to give some of the others lol. Maybe I’ll use them next year.

I need to order photos, but my laptop is acting up. I will have to do it on DH's computer. Maybe tomorrow...

Morning ladies! Ordered pics from Shutterfly last night, and finished 3 layouts since I've been off for 2 days. Have remained frozen for 2020. Does anyone keep track of the number of pages they scrap? I did last year. 248. Want to continue this in 2020. My goal is 300!

I've never kept track, but I doubt I'd hit your numbers. Good for you, remaining frozen. I'm technically refrigerated, writing a list of basics I need, and a list of wants, but I haven't shopped yet this year.

I have my first crop tomorrow and being so close to after holidays, I am not well planned out. I am just taking a few photo based things, then my laptop to do some organization and planning. Also some stamps and coloring projects. Looking forward to just relaxing and crafting a bit with some fellow scrapbookers.
I saw Persnickety Prints is also having a generic 20% off sale on everything, for those looking for prints and projects.
I am not a winter/cold person, but I sorta love it bcz it's when I get my most scrapping done! excited to get back into the groove.
I don't usually set shopping limits, but I am thinking of trying to not buy anything until I go to scrapbook expo in August. We'll see....

I ordered a new camera from Costco today. My dsil had texted to tell me they were on sale this week. I had some Christmas cash to spend and Costco accepts my WestJet mastercard, so I get some WJ bucks reward, too.
The lens on my ten year old Canon Rebel quit this past summer and when I went to replace it, I found out it was almost the cost of a whole new camera. The only other lens I had is longer range and made it impossible to grab and shoot photos indoors. Took great hockey photos, but difficult to follow the action to get just the shot I wanted.
The new one has wifi capability so I will be able to share photos from it, but otherwise it will work almost exactly like my old one. I am excited to get that package in the mail--without my camera I almost feel like I am missing a limb.

grammadee My camera has Bluetooth, too. I have it set up to upload to my phone. I also have the Shutterfly app, so my photos go to my phone, then to Shutterfly automatically. I love it. Enjoy your new toy!

Enjoy your new toy! This one has Bluetooth capability as well. Not sure I have Bluetooth capability LOL. That may be the way to share pics from the camera. I used to love taking photos with the camera, but then when the kids wanted them I had to upload to my desktop after I got home and then email from there. This should be simpler than that. If I can ship to my phone, then I can pop photos on a shared icloud space, so easy peasy.

grammadee The instructions with my camera made it a breeze to add the app to my phone, then connect the 2 devices. The camera and app then told me what to do.

I have been scrapping up a storm since the New Year began, but my MOJO is seriously whining it needs a nap!
Slogging along, finishing the two page spread I started last night, and it will be done soon, but I think that will be it for today. All through December, I was thinking "if I just had the TIME..." and now I have all day, lots of photos and supplies to go with them, but no fresh ideas...

I made 8 thank you cards and two TN spreads yesterday. I’m trying to scrap in my bedroom for the sake of comfort but most of my stuff is in the basement...makes it challenging!
I just stamped butterflies on white vellum and embossed them to cut out and use as embellishments. Dumb question...does embossing powder have a shelf life? Mine doesn’t seem to melt as easily as it should and it’s old...probably over 10 years old!

does embossing powder have a shelf life? This is TOTALLY not a dumb question! My 15 year old embossing powder was acting weird (you can tell how often I embossed) and it was clumping up and not melting. I pitched it and got some new stuff and it works like a dream. I think it can go bad, maybe humidity, ect..who knows?

I know..that is why I was watching Janet from RTS last night, her 6x6 pad ideas. Not embarrased to report I straight up copied some of her pages, only using my paper. I made a goal that I cannot buy any more 6x6 paper pads until I make at least 10 LO with them. I made one LO so far.

It may be the powder, or the fact that you are embossing on vellum. The ink dries slower than on regular cs or pp, and maybe it needs more time before you put the powder on it?

And yes, I’ve been told embossing powder has a shelf life. Haven’t experienced that yet though. But also your embossing medium has a shelf life, that I have experienced, my clear ink got wonky & I had to replace it.

I got it to melt but it took awhile. As for moving my stuff...it’s possible but not an easy task. I have a lot of stuff (I’ve been doing this for over 20 years with a break in there but kept a lot of stash). I have about 14 of the white cubes as well as shelving Dh installed for me. I will have to think about the options. I’m far more comfortable in my bedroom. The plan was for the second bedroom to become my scrapbooking room but it doesn’t look like dd and dgd will be moving out in the foreseeable future, if ever. 😕

My husband (the coach) asked me to cut out the names of his varsity team for signs over their lockers. I also have to make names in (designated colors) for the district teams. I am going to be using my cameo most of the day.
While I am upstairs in my craft room, I’m going to set up my 2020 PROJECT LIFE album.

Trying to clean my house and pack up Christmas today and tomorrow before I leave on Wednesday. Got two rooms done (spare room and DD19's room - she's back at college) and started the family room...where I scrapbook...and found FIVE photo envelopes full of prints...
so got side tracked sorting those into page protectors by layout and figuring out what photos I still need to print from 2019
I did manage a scrapbook page - I sorted out DD13's school pictures from this year and mailed them out to various people and managed to scrap it as well.

I have literally 200 photos to scrap from Thanksgiving to New years, with dgd's 1st birthday this week and ds1 thinking of a court house wedding this week also.
I do have a weekend crop and a retreat coming up. What I need to decide is do I scrap all these fun current pics or do I finish 2 previous projects started at retreats. What would you choose?
In the mean time I am gathering product for current photos. So many supplies!!

What I need to decide is do I scrap all these fun current pics or do I finish 2 previous projects started at retreats. What would you choose? For me, I would finish the other 2 projects, if you want them completed...it would take away from my enjoyment of scrapping the new pics if I knew I had other scrappy projects unfinished. But I am kinda weird like that! If it doesn't bother you, I say do whatever you want! I am super excited because I am supposed to be on a freeze, but it is my birthday on Thursday and I told DH all I wanted was to be able to make a couple small scrappy purchases, like 25 bucks or so. So when another Pea put up some October Afternoon for sale, I bought a bit of it! Happy Birthday to me!!!
