Here is your first sketch of the year. I pinned this early in December when I had no time to scrap. sketchy saturday January by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Here is my take on it. I was drawn to the little winter diecut scene and attempted to mimic it. Put this together last week. Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Can't wait to see what you do with this. Have fun! And BTW, if you like sketches, maybe you can jump in and host a Sketchy Saturday by signing up HERE Thanks, LisaDV, for keeping them all organized.

Great sketch grammadee , thanks! It's perfect for a layout I was just about to start on. I started off copying the sketch exactly, but then I had to resize and reshape some of the photos. I used the 'A Girl's World' kit by Kimeric Kreations.

Wonderful sketch - the tree/deer graphic is stunning, and I'd like to attempt something in that spot, but I'm nervous, it would be labour intensive I think. Love your rendition, the word strip fills in well, the pale background with the snow/ski pictures is lovely! AussieMeg, love how you echoed "candy" colours from your photo in the layout, it really makes the Funhouse come alive. That cool ephemera card in the pocket!!!

grammadee, thanks for a double page sketch!! Perfect for just after the holidays. Love the paper strip saying "make every moment.." and the deer!!! AussieMeg, no flowers? Sorry, I shouldn't tease. It's a beautiful layout and I can still see your style shine through.

Love the way you used the darker pattern on the circle to help the photos pop against that pretty leafy background, jeremysgirl. Awesome happy colours and those owls are super cute. Thanks for playing! And glad to see you back in the game. Looking forward to seeing more of your pages this month.

jeremysgirl, adorable page. Love the dark blue. It does make the photos pop. But those owls are what really take the cake.

AussieMeg , no flowers? Sorry, I shouldn't tease. Hahaha! I made an effort to not use flowers, because P!ink isn't really a flowery kinda girl, but then I realised the journal card had flowers on it.

I had already chosen my photos and picked the kit I was going to use. I was just browsing my templates and sketches to find one that would work, then I saw your sketch and realised it was perfect - such good timing!! Your LO is stunning jeremysgirl ! The bright pink against the dark grey looks amazing. (Hmmmm, is it dark grey? Maybe it scanned differently to how it looks IRL.) And those cute little owls!!
