I've got medium-dark brown with a lot of red tones. I don't want to color, because I love my natural color, but I don't love the whites that seem to be multiplying. What is your favorite brand color for white coverage? It could be home or salon. I just want something that will last more than a few days. My hair grows fast and I wash it daily (that won't change, even though you will tell me I need to) Thanks!

Pluck em! Just kidding... but if not too many...If you wash daily, color will not last. Use root spray. I use the red, Loreal brand. Works great and cheap!

I use henna. Just 100% powdered dried henna plant, no additives. And it takes just fine on my white hairs if I mix it with a bit of acidic liquid along with the water (I use lemon juice). I've been using it for around 10 years now and probably will stick with it until if/when I get enough white hair to let it grow out pure white. As of now I have a fair amount of white hair at my temples and random white hairs scattered around the rest of my head.

What about just using a color conditioner that’s similar to your natural hair color? I’ve used Overtone to change my color slightly without bleaching, and I would imagine it would work on grey hair, too.

I tried Overtone and Aveda Clove. Neither touched the whites. Plucking is how I roll, but it's getting to be too many. I'll look into henna, although permanent permanent is a little freaky. Also, some are my whole hair length, and not a ton at my roots. I probably didn't explain that right, but not a ton at my roots.

Nothing worked for me--either at home or salon. So I cried 'uncle' and love my grays
