The thread about the Fiskars stamp press got me thinking about some of my older stamp tools that have been neglected. Anyone else own or ever use a Stamp a ma jig? What did you use it for?
I remember I had to get one after watching either Jennifer Maguire, Kristina Werner or Nichol Magourik use one on one of their 2peas tutorials. I used it to line up my stamp and it worked pretty well.
I found this image on Google for those of you that are wondering what it is:

I'd throw A LOT more cards away if I didn't have this tool...haha!! Saves me a ton of headaches. Recommend this tool to anyone who doesn't have one.

I have 2 of them. One on my desk and one in my craft tote! I think it is just great! I have a lot of SU wood stamps that aren't perfectly straight because of who ever put them together...that would be me...so the Stamp-a-ma-jig is a very good friend of mine!

The stamp them a jig makes lining up no problem. I use it most often when I use more than one stamp on a card.

I have one, but have never been able to use it correctly. I usually line my stamp up by putting my paper butted up to the shallow rim on my craft table and then eyeballing it using the lines on the SU grid pad that covers my workspace. I have been wanting a laser level as they seem to make lining stamps up straight - particularly sentiments (which is what I have the most trouble with) a breeze.

Have one and use it - even when stamping with clear stamps. It makes it so easy to place your image exactly where you want it, and then make sure that's where you stamp it.

Well, I just used mine for the first time, and my results are uneven.
I cut some shapes with the Cameo with a .04 offset and when I stamped with the stamp-a-ma-jig, it got it perfect 4 out of 5 times.
It seems I can't seem to stamp parallel to the table when I'm trying to snug up into the jig's corner. I guess I need a lot more practice.
I'd just use the print and cut features but my printer has decided it won't pick up the Express It paper anymore. What's up with that?

Have it - use it on an as-needed basis.
Recently saw a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers where someone made it out of the really big, thick Duplo (lego-like) blocks!

I have one and have never used it. Hee, me too. I tried it once, made an awful mess, and haven't had the nerve to try again.

This thread inspired me to pull mine out and have a play this afternoon - I made a card using shadow stamping. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty awesome!
