Do you keep preprinted or prestamped sentiments on hand? I was watching a video by I think Jennifer McG and she commented that she keeps some prestamped sentiment strips on hand. I was curious if others do this, or if it was more because she was showing the Taylor Expressions simple strips stamps and dies. I ordered a couple of the strip sets last month and I’m just using them today for a set of cards. You stamp and cut several sentiments at one time. So now I have a pile of additional sentiments and was just curious if others keep sentiments on hand Sorry for no links, linking sucks from my ipad

I have the general set and the Christmas set from TE. Thinking I would like the birthday set. As I usually do cards in batches, I stamp then cut the set of banners and use what I can right away. I put the extras in a ziplock bag and if I remember I pull them out next time.

I don't have any of those but I haven't bought any because I prefer to select and stamp the sentiment when I make the card. I'm pretty sure there are some I'd never use.

I have a few leftovers from projects that I keep, but mostly I stamp or print what is needed when I need it. I don’t really like to use the same phrase over and over, and I don’t want to have to find ways to organize/store them.
For someone like Jennifer McGuire, I can see why it would be quicker and easier for her.

I think Jennifer McGuire could also be talking about printed sentiment strips that Simon Says Stamp sells now. I think you get sheets of them and then you can cut them out with a trimmer or use a banner/sentiment die to cut them out. You can also use foiling with them since they are laser printed.

Personally, I like to stamp out my sentiment as I make the cards. I can see how it is easier or faster to have pre-stamped ones. I never really figure out which sentiment I want to use until I am finish with making the card. Also there some sentiments that I use often while others rarely use.

I feel like the few I have leftover from other cards just kind of sit around and I never think to check to see if they would work. Yes, even though they are sitting on my desk right in front of me! I seem to agree with everyone else and we’ll see if I can actually make it a habit to use these prestamped sayings. Hopefully I can since I’m making batches of various cards for Cards for Soldiers and not a card for me to use for a specific event or person

I prefer to stamp the sentiments as I go. In fact I now make a number of cards and don't add the sentiment until I'm ready to send it so I can tailor it to whatever occasion.

I have a few stamped and cut, but I don’t use sentiment strips as much as some people do. I have a binder full of die cuts so if I make them I can keep them in there, but for the most part I don’t pre-create them intentionally. Usually just leftovers. I looked at the TE dies and stamps but I wasn’t sure they’d be good value for me. Some of the sentiments weren’t really things I usually say. I was tempted by them though, for the cards I make to donate.

I don't do this, but I was kind of thinking of a plan where I print some out at work. Then I got 110# copy paper stuck in the machine. Embarrasing!

I’ve printed sentiments on 80lb Neenah no problem. I have a Canon Pixma printer. I’ve used 110lb in the rear feed tray too, but for sentiments I figure 80lb is good enough. But now and then I will run a 110 card base through to add an inside sentiment.

I usually make cards without sentiments, and just add one for the appropriate occasion when I need to send a card. I also don't buy a lot of sentiment sets simply because most of them I don't care for, I try to buy individual sentiments I like.

When I make Christmas cards and tags, I take all my related text stamps and prestamp and emboss them at different type of cardstock ready to use. If I pack to make cards away from the house I do the same

I got the Taylored Expression sentiments strips at her black Friday sale. I'm planning to emboss a bunch with different colors on different color paper. I like to have sentiment ready to go when I'm ready to send the cards out, it's just easier for me. This year I'm planning to type up some Hungarian sentiments and take it to FedEx and make laser ink copies on different colored cardstock and use my laminator to add foiling to it.

I thought of this tread this afternoon. Rescently I found some 3D stickers I bought a couple a years ago and some already cut out ovals, circles mm. I paired this with the rest of some old 6x6 pattern paper. Today I descided to finish the cards by adding some texts. I picked out some stampset, and what was in the bottom of the packing? Yes, some texts already stamped and embossed ready to use 😄

I end up with extra sentiments because I usually stamp at least two of whatever I want to use, just in case I mess up in the embossing and/or die cutting of them. If they all turn out with no mistakes, great - I put them in a drawer together or back in the stamp packaging (I realize as I'm typing this that I should probably put them ALL in the drawer). I also have a little drawer full of die cuts that I made but didn't use at once. My fantasy is to do what rhhdk did!

I can never find the right sentiment stamp. I go to stores like HL and photo sentiment plaques, then type them into Word. I then print them on cardstock or full sheet labels in whatever font I want and I save to my puter.
