I have no friends who scrapbook and no LSS. I can't watch u tube...too long and too slow. A lot of times there are posts here that call embellishments and tools something and I have no idea what they are talking about. So I think and think and google and sometimes later I will figure out what they are talking about and its something I use every day and have tons of.
I guess its my own fault because I won't watch u tube. Today some one was asking about cut aparts...I'm like what the heck are cut aparts. I researched and finally figured out I call them cards for pocket scrapping.
Am I the only one?
Opps not a challenge!

I'm that way when folks start talking about cutting machines, laminating machines, and other tech. I'm clueless.
I know what cut-aparts are though, because of Shimelle Live on Facebook. She's pleasant to have on in the background when I'm doing other things.

Whenever I venture over to the GS board, it's like everyone is talking a different language haha! I hardly know any of the designers, or products, or tools that people are talking about.
With the monthly challenges, I'm often confused about what the difference is between a cut file and a die cut, and what I can use as a digital alternative.

I'm often confused about what the difference is between a cut file and a die cut, and what I can use as a digital alternative. Although I get the difference between since I also traditionally scrapbook, I have a hard time with many of the digital alternatives. I tend to use the same challenges over and over.

I am lucky enough to have some crafting friends and a LSS within a bit over an hour from me and several others near my dd’s home another 2 hours away.
But I don’t always know what scrappers are talking about. I don’t know who the different Sb celebrities are, except for a few. I am more likely to be attracted to a certain colour combo or design I like than go looking for the latest thing by a particular designer. It’s not unusual for me to put together a page with pieces of a new line plus elements and/or techniques from 10 years ago.
I have found, @elaynef, that Google is my friend. If I see something I like on this board or elsewhere, I look it up on line if I am not sure what it is or how to use it. I really wish there was a way we could all just get together and play. Since that doesn’t seem very practical, the monthly challenges are the next best thing.
