We used to purchase Garofalo organic spaghetti noodles from Costco, but didn't love the texture. We gave TJ's pasta a try and are pleasantly pleased. Right now, I'm loving TJ's larger sized rigatoni pasta. DH prefers regular spaghetti noodles, but since I do the cooking I get to pick. What type/shape/brand of noodles do you like?

I’m not super particular but I do like a bite size noodle. My top picks would be orecchiette, farfalle and campanelle.

Whole Foods 365 brand whole wheat organic spaghetti, rigatoni or whatever shape fits the recipe I'm using at the time.
Before I changed to a whole foods, plant based diet almost 6 years ago I used to eat white pasta noodles and looked for an organic version when I shopped. Brand didn't really matter that much to me. Once we started this diet though I learned how much better for our bodies whole wheat or any whole grains are for us vs. white flour and so we started eating whole wheat pasta. Yes, it was an adjustment at first but now I actually prefer it. I like the fiber and the taste so much better.

I like rigatoni penne or ziti.... i love the sauce to go down into the tubes...
I really really hate to see or hear my kids/grandkids slurp up a long stringy noodle... so i will not buy spaghetti, fettuccine or linguine... it doesn't matter if its angel hair or thick... im not a fan!!

Rotini is probably my most used noodle in a pasta dish. Soups, casseroles, sauces, those little spirals hold the good stuff!

It depends on what recipe. For soup, I like little shells or kluski noodles (kluski for chicken soup, shells for vegetable). Kluski noodles are simple egg noodles shaped like matchsticks. For pasta with sauce or pesto, I like fettucini, spaghetti,or penne. For pasta salad, either rotini or farfalle.
Every once in a while I buy something different, but mostly stick to really simple pasta dishes.

I'll eat pretty much any shape/size of pasta, but my favorites are Capellini and Tortiglioni. As for brands, I've always bought imported Italian brands. Recently my grocery started carrying Pastificio dei Campi di Gragnano. The taste and texture are the best I've found so far (for dried pasta). It's pricey, but since we are eating less pasta these days, I don't mind spending a bit more.

I prefer shorter pasta to long, slurpy pasta. I don't eat it often--usually in pasta salad in the summer, so I like farfalle, rotini, or cavatappi.

American Beauty once was THEE pasta back in the day, but that one sure went to heck. I love Pappardelle pastas. I'm not real picky with size and shape, but do like thinner spaghetti noodles and any think that is curly or crinkly. It is found in various stores and differs by states, but they do have a locator button on their web page. pappardellespasta.com/

I have a spaezel press, so I make my own noodles fresh for each meal. Really easy to make and love the freshness.

It's a tie between >>>Angel hair spaghetti(leftover, second day is the best) and extra wide egg noodles. Both with butter only.
Extra wide egg noodles is a "comfort food" for me.
I don't buy any pasta, that way I can't eat it. So many carbs.

Personally, I like rotini pasta, because the corkscrew shape holds lots of sauce. I like it best for marinara. What we use most often is thin spaghetti or angel hair pasta, because it cooks quickly. (and this might be a pasta cooking no-no, but I break spaghetti noodles in half before I cook them, because I don't like the difficult process of trying to wind the pasta onto my fork.)

A Texas (I think only TX but maybe not) supermarket chain, called HEB sells a store brand of kluski noodles. For me, it depends on the application. I like most pasta, but rotini is my favorite for garlic noodles and pasta salad. Mac&cheese HAS to have elbow macaroni and I do an asian chicken salad that I only like with bowtie pasta. I'm not picky about brand, but I really like the veggie pasta by Barilla. DH "hates" them (unless I don't tell him that's the kind of pasta I used - I have to hide the box in the recycle bin)
