What a tragic demise. Do you suppose he left a peanut butter splat where he fell?

I bet they make him into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because he fell into a blackberry bramble.😁

i wonder if they will bring him back during the superbowl commerical I hope so, it seems a shame to get rid of him. He's an advertising icon.

A gazillion years ago I went to a hot air balloon festival. The only balloon I remember was the Mr. Peanut one. I am also the awful parent that full blown convinced Ds that Mr. Peanut was a real guy, just born that way.

RIP Mr. Peanut. I really, really hate it when they do away with the advertising icons of my childhood. i wonder if they will bring him back during the superbowl commerical The article linked said that there would be another ad during the 3rd quarter of the game so that fans can mourn at Mr. Peanut's funeral. Doesn't sound like it. Then again, you never know.

I don't understand the delayed explosion of Mr. Peanut. As old and brittle as a 104 peanut would be, he'd crack into tiny little pieces.

Were the Budweiser Clydesdales dropped one time and brought back? I'll miss Mr. Peanut, reminds me of my Grandparents.

That’s just sad. The older incarnations of him were kind of like a creepy old uncle, but the newer ones were actually quite cute.

My family story:
My great grandfather was a candy maker ( I actually believe that he was a moonshiner and the candy was a cover). He became friends with and helped obici start his business in Wilkes-barre pa.
They were friends up until the stock market crash. Obici kept telling my great grand father to get his money out of the stock market and the bank. There was a huge fight and my great aunt remembers that she was no longer allowed to be friends with obici’s daughter.
The stock market crashed and my great grandfather lost all of his money. Which made him hate obici even more.

They'll bring in a hip new peanut character. Pea Didddy or something.
