WTF? Seriously? I don't watch the show but who would think this is a good idea?

Wow. I mean there is really nothing else I can say. Not a good idea ever.
ETA: maybe they could sell Dog the Bounty Hunter dolls net to it?

I also don't watch the show and can't imagine why someone would think it's a good idea.. Let alone to sell it a kids toy store.

That is horrifying. What's next ~ Dexter dolls with dismembered body parts in plastic bags and a toy boat to dispose of said bags?

Yeah, no. I can understand them being sold as collectables for a more mature clientele, but they shouldn't be anywhere in a children's toy section.

They should be sold in orange jump suits with ankle chains and the one that goes around the waist chaining down their arm reach.

Horrendous. I could accept it in a specialty store of some kind, but to sell it in a place like Toys R Us? Really badly conceived.

I can see a store like Spencer's Gifts (do those even exist any more?), Hot Topic, or ThinkGeek doing it, but Toys R Us? Not a great, or even mediocre, idea.

Have they really run out of any other ideas for toys?
Very bad PR move by Toys R Us.

They are not to sell to kids.
They are for adult collectors.
Just like Walking Dead action figures (which TRU also carries) or Game of Thrones toys or $300 fashion designer Barbies.
This is not a unique situation at TRU.
They sell lots of things for adult collectors.
One woman decided to make a big deal about this one in particular.
I think it's ignorant to jump on her band wagon.
Don't like it, don't buy it.

Honestly who cares? There are video games and other toys that aren't meant for kids there but no one questions that. Don't like it don't buy it. It really is that simple.

According to Toys R Us "released a statement clarifying that the Breaking Bad packaging “clearly notes that the items are intended for ages 15 and up”. I thought I had reminded all of you that your kids must be at least age 15 before using that. I guess you forgot Now the serious question is. . . who buys that stuff?

A Daryl Dixon action figure is on my Christmas list . He'll go next to my Rick Grimes bobblehead! If your 15 and under child is interested in a Walter White or Jesse action figure because he knows who they are, then I think that is an issue. Not Toys R Us choosing to sell it in their stores.

While I shake my head I also realize there are lots of toys and games that glorify illegal and inappropriate behavior. It's up to me as a consumer/parent to allow it into my home.

I had no idea TRU sold adult action figures?!? Don't remember ever noticing that section in the store, but haven't been in one in years.
I have no doubt there is a market for this, just never thought about who would be selling it.

I am surprised TRU is selling it only because I wouldn't think to look there for that kind of product. If I wanted something like that I would go to one of the local Comic Book stores.
I don't think it is something to get wrapped around the pole about.

The article says it is in the adult action figure section and if I remember correctly that is in the video game section behind glass.

TRU sells mature video games, even Grand Theft Auto, and nobody is complaining about that.
There were kids Breaking Bad costumes last year. I think it is on the parents and not the creators. My kids know there is a show named Walking Dead, but they would have no idea what. Daryl doll was, let alone want one and the same would go for the Breaking Bad ones.

I'm pretty appalled at everyone involved in this - it's one thing to have the show on the network or sell dvds of it, but to create action figures which are something typically reserved for children - I know some adults as well but really -
I read an article that they are still selling them at Barnes and Noble and Walmart - I checked out their websites and they are correct. Especially with the bag of money and tray or bag of blue crystals - I mean, WHAT??!!! They're available online.
Ok I agree there are video games that are awful so maybe I should reserve my shock to the fact that there are awful things marketed today everywhere. I just was pretty appalled by this. I need to lower my shock value standards for other things I guess.

Don't see the big deal. They are geared towards the collectors not little kids. What blows my mind is that people think that every.single.thing. sold at Toys R Us has to be geared towards little kids. The world does not revolve around little kids (though it certainly seems like some people are trying to make it so... how incredibly maddening that adults are being squeezed out for little snowflakes) and nor should it.
I am not a Breaking Bad fan but I see why the dolls were made and without even thinking for a second realise who they are geared towards. This is a false outrage that some mommy is manifesting for attention.

Personally I am more outraged at actionfigures with weapons or underdressed female-figures with gravitydefying bosoms that are actually aimed towards children. My kids would have no idea who Walter White with a big bag of blue crystals are, and I would not explain it to them either, except to tell them it's a grown-up thing.

They should be sold in orange jump suits with ankle chains and the one that goes around the waist chaining down their arm reach. My brother and SIL just named their baby Piper (a name I happen to love) and I looked around forever for a plain orange (without Halloween junk or boats or foxes or bears) onesie. I reconsidered the whole thing because I don't want them to think I disapprove of their baby's lovely name.
