Who put her in command? I mean, does she really think that saying this would cause miscarriages? I swear, there are loons on both sides, but right now this side is winning,

I cannot stand religious zealots/charlatans. The thing I find to be most ironic about this is that Laveyan Satanism has 11 rules of the Earth. They are not set in stone and not all Satanists abide by them. However number 9 of the 11 is "do not harm children". How is it that a (I'm assuming self proclaimed "Christian") zealot can be bonkers to the point where she is calling for the loss of "Satanic" babies (😆😂 that makes me laugh! How can an embryo or fetus be a Satanist? 😆😂) via miscarriage? I'm fairly certain if she is this much of a zealot she's also a "pro lifer", too. Which, I suppose, would mean that some fetuses and embryos matter far less to her than others. If she is a pro lifer she undoubtedly sees embryos and fetuses as children so therefore I think it is fair to say that she is wanting children to die (which would be harm, yes?). I wonder how she performs these mental gymnastics. I haven't the stomach to watch any of this shit show circus so if there are assumptions I'm making about her that are incorrect that is why.

OMFG. 5 minutes ago I knew nothing about this batshitcrazy lunatic. Now I know more than I want to. I want to go back in time and not open this thread. By my count, she's guilty of at least 3 out of 7 deadly sins. "Wherever I go, God rules." "When I walk on white House grounds, God walks on white House grounds." "Where I stand is holy." Bitch is quite full of herself, no? And that speaking in tongues bullshit?

Bitch is quite full of herself, no? And that speaking in tongues bullshit? Say what? WE pay her?!?!?!?!?! And she asked people to send her $35, $35,000 up to and including $350,000! I guess GOP doesn't listen much............. God chooses the king? They are now planning on serving the king? Well they have gotten a lot richer since the tax cuts!! REad about it! ** “Cutting tax rates for companies like Apple and hundreds of other stocks they own was one of many ways Republican lawmakers enriched themselves after they passed the tax law…. Democrats also stood to gain from the tax bill, though not one voted for it. All but 12 Republicans voted for the tax bill.” ** One of the Republicans who has benefited from owning Apple shares is Sen. David Purdue of Georgia. Cary notes, “Perdue is one of the wealthiest senators, with a net worth of $15.8 million — $14 million of which is in stocks, according to Roll Call. In 2018, with his wife, Perdue owned $100,000 to $250,000 in Apple stock, he reported. The couple sold some of it and received annual dividends and capital gains that year between $15,000 and $50,000.” ** Cary, similarly, stresses that the “benefits” of the law — which reduced the corporate tax rate in the U.S. from 35% to 21% — “mainly went to the rich, as the wealthiest 10% of Americans own 84% of all stocks. “The ten richest Republicans in Congress in 2017 who voted for the tax bill held more than $731 million in assets — almost two-thirds of which were in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other instruments, according to Roll Call’s semiannual assessment of Congress’ wealth,” Cary reports. *** www.rawstory.com/2020/01/republican-lawmakers-personally-made-millions-from-their-giant-tax-cut-report/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3575

I will say as a Pentecostal I know many people who prophesy and speak in tongues. Truly it is not bullshit, it is one of the spiritual gifts, but used wrongly it is a form of deception. I have desired this spiritual gift for 15 years but never have had it, that’s okay, I’m just saying I believe it’s a valid thing.
However I believe there is an inherent corruption that occurs when pastors get in bed with politicians. You don’t have to listen long to sense the corruption of Jesus’s message and the purpose of the church when she speaks. The idea that she makes things holy by her presence as if the Spirit has not preceded her in all things, puts her at the forefront of her thinking and not the Spirit. She speaks of what she does not of what God does, she is incorrect.

With batshit-to-English translation via Mrs. Betty Bowers.
Now do people see why we have specific prohibitions between Government and Religion right in the Constitution?

I try hard to believe that the WH and the GOP really and truly can not agree with all this Batshitcrazypants stuff ( thanks pca for this line, I am now going to be using this irl - so appropriate ) The real problem here is - these fuckers don’t have any balls. It may seem odd to some, which is okay especially if it isn’t part of your personal faith experience, but it is one normal expression of Christian belief. But like any it can be used wrongly. It can be used to draw attention to oneself, it can be used to show oneself as more spiritual as others, it is easy to use it to prove to others that you have some kind of special connection with God, all of these things are wrong and counter to the biblical concept of spiritual gift. So in all honesty you have bolded the least important thing I said. Spiritual gifts is a concept that I believe is often misunderstood and misused, that is the most important thing I said.

No, I quoted the most important thing you said. Unless you have a documented case of someone speaking an actual language, fluently, of course, that’s been verified by a linguist. Otherwise, I will just stick with the belief (held by billions in the world, if you want to get on board!) that the person “speaking in tongues” is really just putting together sounds that don’t have any coherent meaning. Also, just because a bunch of random, uneducated people believe something doesn’t make it true. I’m not inclined to believe the earth is flat or climate change isn’t real no matter how many people around the world believe it to be true.

I have hard time speaking against someone elses' religion/beliefs unless they operate in a way to hurt, disparage others. I have no knowledge of speaking in tongues, but I do know many believe it, but surely not as Ms White spouts her vile everything!

I’m not inclined to believe the earth is flat or climate change isn’t real no matter how many people around the world believe it to be true. Golly, you’ve moved well ahead of the conversation at hand and got right into flat earth thought and climate denial. I’m pleased to say neither are tenets of Pentecostalism or of Christianity in general, so no one need defend them at all. You have constructed rather a familiar straw man, it is not at all uncommon for Christians to be portrayed as simpletons ignorant on many matters and at times that criticism is well deserved. However this matter is not particularly one that is covered by linguistics as a discipline but by theology, as glossolalia itself is not considered to be the speaking of a human language but a heavenly one. Xenolalia is the phenomenon you have described here, but this is not typically how speaking in tongues is practiced in Pentecostalism, typically both the speech and the interpretation are considered to be from God and are not typically known human languages. I will return to my argument that though this practice is not outside the purview of Christian tradition, White uses it in a manner that is troubling in my opinion. She has many concerning characteristics of a false prophet and I don’t know that I think even Christians who share some of her faith practices should accept her as a spiritual guide.
