I have a 16" Genesis paper trimmer I am needing a new blade for. Bonnie's best Tools seems to be out of business. Has anyone had any luck finding new blades?

Nvgal, I bought a Genesis paper trimmer too. I looked through my emails and I purchased it in 2012. I really like it and my blade is doing ok so far. I tried to get hold of her several years ago trying to purchase a new blade in case I needed it--no luck. She hasn't updated her Facebook page since October 2017. Anyway, I will be interested in what you find out. Genesis 16" Trimmer with Edgelight is the Genesis paper trimmer I purchased. Here is an article about the Genesis paper trimmer. This looks like the one I purchased. It's on Marco Paper's blog.

I have an extra blade which I purchased 20+ years ago when I ordered my cutter. Didn’t know that blade would last this long! Now I just have to find it. If I do find it,I’m happy to sell it. I also have a 36” genesis paper cutter I never use. Will let you know if it’s still sharp and the same size.

I emailed Bonnie. I found an email address and tried.....here is what she sent me:
Karalyn, I’m very sorry but I do not currently have any Genesis cutter wheels available. We had to close our production facility when I was diagnosed with cancer, and even though my health has improved, I have been unable to hire someone who can produce these. I still have hope that one of my old production people will have some time in the future to be able to work on these, but I don’t have a commitment at this time.
One thing I can recommend to extend the life of your cutter wheel is to clean both the wheel and the flat blade it cuts against. Sometimes a build-up of dust and adhesive can build up on the surfaces and the build-up can interfere with a crisp cut. Just use household rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth, and then dry it thoroughly with another lint-free cloth.
I will make a big announcement when and if I have cutter wheels again. I hope I’ll be able to help you in the future.
Best wishes to you –
Bonnie

That was so nice of Bonnie to respond and give ideas. I'm glad to hear she beat cancer and is doing well.

If Bonnie's suggestion of cleaning it doesn't work I wonder if a professional knife sharpening would work? We have a local knife shop that sharpens all kinds of different blades. Google "professional knife sharpening near me".

Artsyk, ok, thanks. This was real recent. Something, I've learned after I purchased the Genesis paper trimmer is that whenever I purchase anything that might need replacements I buy a replacement piece. When I purchased the Genesis paper trimmer I didn't buy an extra blade. That was my fault. Mine is 7 years old and is probably the best piece of scrapbooking equipment I've purchased. It cuts a straight line every time, there is no plastic in the trimmer, and was made in the United States. Mine still cuts just fine. (However, if the blade gets dull and can't be sharpened or replaced, then my paper trimmer is worthless.) It is supposed to have a self sharpening blade on it. Now when I buy ink pads I purchase the reinker, etc. This type of purchasing behavior kind of contributes to the hoarding of scrapbooking, but this is another reason you have to do it. Maybe Bonnie's Best Tools will sell the manufacturing rights of the trimmer to another company.

My GENESIS TRIMMER is the BEST scrapbook investment that I’ve ever made. I purchased it in 2000 and it is still going strong.
I’ve heard that the sionstan turning of the round blade keeps it sharpened. I did clean away debris with some UNDO a few years ago.
