So I’m impatiently awaiting the new releases to come out and be shipped. I haven’t ore-ordered in the past because, well, I’m impatient. In the past if it said ETA January when does that really mean?

I am too.
I'm actually thrilled to pieces that ACOT is finally shipping a pre-order I placed in November. They were waiting for a sheet of paper from KaiserCraft that was delayed for unknown reasons. I guess it finally came in.
I have 2 January orders I'm waiting for too, one with Creativation goodies and one I placed just prior to that.
Soon...

I just placed an ACOT order last night that included lots of pre-order stuff. Some is expected in January and some in February so I'll be waiting a while. I was happy to get 20% off the pre-order stuff. Can't wait to get that package!

If it’s American Crafts stuff, it was leaving the warehouses last week, according to Shimelle. But that doesn’t account for how long it takes to be received and entered into inventory at the store. Shimelle warmed people about issues with pre-orders - it sounds like a lot of people complain when places like ACOT end up getting stuff later than scrapbook dot com even though ACOT usually has the listing earlier. And of course the designers and AC have no control over how long it takes for ACOT to get their orders in and out. I’ve never done a pre-order but it doesn’t sound like a good deal to me, especially having orders held up because AC didn’t ship one item until later.

I don’t get why someone would complain to a designer when really they have no control over that. I took advantage of the preorder discount. I ended up putting in a order last night at scrapbook dot com with current things just to hold myself over tile the preorders get in! I’m starting to put a dent in my stash.

Here’s to hoping it all comes in. I put in two orders of mostly Lee-order items in January. Honestly I’m beginning to forget what I order so at least it’ll be a fun surprise when I get it 😂

I am only impatient about getting my W2 form from the US Census so I can get my refund from the IRS.

TFW you realize your pre-order won't ship until everything arrives in the store and some of it isn't expected until March.

Everything I ordered said ETA: January 2020 And the question was if that meant they would actually have it in January or if it was a hopeful date.

I placed one pre-order last year, and I won’t do it again. They still had plenty left when I needed more of something.

The Hip Kit Club Group on FaceBook announcement:
FEBRUARY KIT SHIPPING UPDATE...
We are just beginning to ship our Feb. Kits. However, the shipping of some orders will be delayed. A partial shipment of our Pinkfresh Studio Noteworthy products are stuck in China due to factories being temporarily shut down. We have be told that they expect to re-open next Monday and the delayed products will be shipping directly to use within a couple of days. The transit from China to Washington state is 4 to 5 days via air freight. This is the fastest method possible. We are doing our absolute best to expedite this process. I assure you that this is the last of the delays... as we have already received most of the products for our March Kits... which will be revealed later this month. We will be including an extra goodie in orders that are shipped after the 16th of February in hope of making the extra wait a little less painful for you. We will keep you posted by sharing updates here as we receive them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience and support with the hiccups we have been experiencing over the past few months. We are at the mercy of manufacturers especially when we are including brand new collections in our Kits.
I ordered some Pinkfresh from ACOT (they posted an expected ship date in January), and I expect that my paper is being held up as well. Probably more lines than just the Pinkfresh. There's very little by way of scrapping supplies that doesn't come from China these days. I don't mind waiting a bit longer; I mean I expect some delays, especially given the circumstances. But if it looks like the Creativation pre-order shipments won't materialize anytime soon though, I do wonder if ACOT will give it's customers the opportunity to change out their orders for something they have in stock.
By the way, as an aside, none of this talk is to say that we're valuing craft supplies over human life, and I hope no one will go there and suggest that this discussion is in bad form. We all understand the scope of the crisis. We're just talking about our orders, that's all.

Paper Issues just posted that they have received the new Vicki Boutin line...so that's a good sign that AC is coming soon!
I preordered it at my LSS. They are cozy with Vicki (she does workshops at the store) and usually get product from her lines quickly. I think she has some clout for that! So I'm hopeful I'll get my stuff this week or next at the latest.
I've noticed that SSS writes very specific dates on their "reserve" items. So I went ahead and ordered an item that was on reserve for feb. 20, knowing that it holds up the rest of my order as well... we shall see how this goes!!!

I pre-ordered Creativation items but have plenty to play with until they arrive. My problem is deleting my emails; I need to remember what I ordered.

I did an order with SSS about 3 weeks ago and the reserve item was GinaK glue with a reserve date of 2/12. I was willing to wait but I just checked and now the estimated date is 2/21. I didn't need the glue that badly so now I'm kicking myself for holding up my order just for that. That's a mistake I won't make again.

I got a shipping order too, for an order I placed on December 28th.
My Shimelle is in a January order with a bunch of other AC papers. I hope I get good news on that one soon too!

I have had some PRE-ORDER stuff in my basket at ACOT (I have been on a spending freeze) and they went from being available in FEBRUARY to being available in MARCH so must be they are held up.
Am I the only one kind of creeped out by getting products from where the Coronavirus is? Of course I know almost everything comes from China now. I recently re-read The Stand so I am probably paranoid.

Although, I thought the same thing when I ordered from an indy store and she had to delay shipping orders since she was down with the flu. I thought, great, now the products will be flu-infested!

I saw a video on facebook yesterday from Hip Kit Club (and of course I can't find it now to link it). The woman in the video said that the reason the February kit is late is because they've been waiting for the PinkFresh order to come in. It's coming from one of the factories that was closed because of the virus. She has word that orders will ship from China soon, as the factory will be reopening, but who knows how long it will take to get here, or whether packages will need to sit before US companies will open and distribute the contents.
The ACOT order I'm still waiting for also has PinkFresh in it. I'm definitely going to let that one sit awhile before I open it. This virus it too scary.
