I buy pure maple syrup at Costco and have for probably 10+ years. I just noticed on the bottle it says to refrigerate after opening. I have never refrigerated syrup. I put mine in the fridge this time even though the bottle has been open for several months and wasn't refridgerated....
Do you refrigerate yours?

I have never refrigerate pure or fake maple syrup and neither did my mom...
(funny enough, I always refrigerate my ketchup and you don't have to do that)
Weird.

I have a fancy bottle from Canada sitting on my bar cart. The label didn't say anything about refrigerating, so I didn't. However, I have a bottle from Trader Joe's in the fridge because the label commanded me to. I'm a rule follower and no help in this situation.

I keep my maple syrup in the fridge, hidden behind every thing else so my DH doesn’t use half a bottle on his granola!

Yes to refrigeration. The owners of a local Sugar Bush farm recommended it.

Yes, if the label says to put it in the fridge, I do that. The Costco bottle says to refrigerate after opening (pretty sure ketchup bottles do, too!)

Yes, real maple syrup should be refrigerated after opening. My dad makes it every spring. It can go bad if not kept cool. The fake stuff...just throw it away.

We buy pure maple syrup from a family farm in Ohio. It is to be refrigerated. I buy 1/2 gallon at a time, and it stays great in the refrigerator.

Maybe not American ketchup with all the extra additives but Canadian ketchup says to refrigerate after opening. We rarely use sryup but keep it downstairs in our cold storage room so maybe that has helped. I shall go put it in our spare basement fridge.

I've put it in the fridge ever since I had a bottle of the real stuff go moldy on me. That stuff is too expensive to have to toss.
