Expedition Cards by Pati Nuce, on Flickr hi Ladies! Hope everyone & your families are on the mend. grammadee - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you were feeling better for it & could celebrate in style. The DQ gift card sounds really fun. So great that you & justjac are such good friend IRL! I keep waiting to meet a Pe in Person. So, if any of you come to the C. Spgs. area, LET ME KNOW. LisaDV - It's hard to let our kids fly the coop isn't it? It sounds like you are making the most of it with your "guilty pleasure foods." Great LO's thanks for sharing. joyfulnana - Well, that Patrick Mahomes is surely something special. Congratulations on the Super Bowl win. 50 years is a long time. (as you know I am a HUGE Denver Broncos fan.) woodysbetty - I am sorry that you are dealing with the aftermath of surgery. I was away from the boards for awhile, so I wasn't aware that you were having "work done". Hope you will be back to stretching & enjoying your new home soon. linda - your scanning project sounds massive. As I have time, I just send mine off the FOREVER to have them scan & keep for me & my descendants. hope your weather got better. kitbop - WTG with changing your attitude with Gratitude. Thank you for that reminder! We do have a LOT to be thankful for. I was thinking about you last month when I did a cluster on my Anacapri page. I wanted to show it to you & say "I did it! I finally did it!" And then I even did a second one on my Trevi fountain page. Thanks to you, I think they look like actual clusters of something , rather than a bunch of random objects thrown together, Thanks for teaching us that! nylene - I know what you mean about the challenges. I am so inspired by some of them, but just haven't worked them into my plan yet. But I sure appreciate the spur to get my hind end in gear. I need to accomplish a lot of LO's this year. @kelly21, knutschen , @elaynef - good to see all of you & prayers you are well soon. I got to spend the weekend with my scrapping friend, Roxy, at our LSS-Simple Pleasures. We had a really freaky snowstorm on Friday, the predicted light shower turned into many inches of snow. Roxy braved the snow From Denver on & met me at our LSS. We decided that it was too bad to go home ( I live about 40 hilly, rural & dark miles from the LSS), so we got a hotel room by the LSS & stayed cozy Friday night. Saturday, the sun came out & melted the roads well enough that we could come home after the crop. But again today, as she was leaving for home, we started to get another storm. I will be posting pics of the LO's I got done this weekend as I finish them up, get them photographed etc. Well, off to finish up a couple of LO's. Take care & STAY WARM!

patin I love your cards!! You much of gotten the snow we were supposed to get! We were to get 7 inches and got maybe 1 inch. I am hanging out at the coffee shop as I usually do on Sunday evening. I am finally feeling better and hope to be back to myself in the next couple of days. I am back to full swing of work and trying to juggle things I want to do. We have had another nurse quit and she was a weekend option charge nurse. Now, I am getting scheduled to work some weekends to help cover. I hope they are able to find a replacement soon. We have 2-3 travel nurses starting. I just hope they stay! One has already made a comment about the patient load and the other thinks it is to busy. It is a busy floor! I just hope they stick it out. I have been kinda lazy this weekend. Yesterday, i did work on getting my living room decluttered. I have been going through stuff I have put in boxes, things I need to file, etc. I was hoping to get further than I did but I made progress. I was going to work on it more today but couldn't sleep last night. I accidentally slept till 2:30pm. I haven't been as productive today. My hands are feeling less sore. I have been thinking of getting my knitting and crochet out. I feel like I am getting some of my wrist mobility back. By Spring, I should be ready to take my bike for a spin! I can't wait!! I have to come back and read everyone's post. I can just see what is on page 2 currently. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

We had a splendid day here on the French Riviera earlier this week. We beat the continental France "heat" records for February (and so early in the month, wow): up to 28°C or 82°F! I was in heaven. Alas, it didn't last and we've come back down to far more realistic temperatures since. Zut alors. sleepingbooty, I wish I were on the French Riviera right now. It certainly would beat the snowy, slushy, rainy stuff we have been having. Nice to see you popping in. grammadee , how did the painting class go? I love how you are always willing to try new things. I hope you and your niece had a great time. How are you enjoying the new car? LisaDV , you are a brave mama. It's hard to see the children leave the nest, even for just a while. He will do well! Is everyone feeling back to normal at your home? You are getting a lot of scrapping done this month. Great layouts. kellyr21, I hope you are having nice weather. Angie has been at Disney all this week and said the weather was warm and not too hot or sunny. Have you been able to get out and walk? patin, I'm glad you had a fun time at your crop with your friend. I want to see what you accomplished. Sorry the weather was not the most cooperative, but that's what we get for living in the mountains. @elaynef, are you feeling better? This stuff seems to last forever. I woke up coughing and sneezing again. I think I need Spring to come to clear it all out. joyfulnana, do you have any plans with Rudy soon? Alex has been sick and home from school all week, so he hasn't even dropped by. How is work going? I hope they are not working you too hard. kitbop, you have done some fun layouts. Your challenge was a stretch for me, but it was fun to do. Thanks for hosting our team. I love your attitude about gratitude. I need to do a page too about all the things I am grateful for. Thanks for the reminder. woodysbetty, I hope you are healing. Falls are my biggest fears. Please be careful and get well healed so you can do your yoga too. Linda, your family will be so grateful for your scanning, transcribing and scrapping. You have a huge project to do, but I'm sure the memories warm your heart as you come across special things/photos etc. Hang in there. knutschen, I hope you are doing better since your fall. I'd love to see your pages from the crop if you'd like to post them. Take it easy. msliz, how is the weather in your area? It seems like there is so much crazy weather and flooding all over the eastern states. I hope you are safe and sound and doing some scrapping. justjac, I can't believe you and grammadee and maribeth (?) can do a layout a day and still keep up with the challenges here. I really am a Pokey Pea! I am hoping I haven't missed someone, but this old(er) age makes that entirely possible. I really appreciate the friendship of each of you on this thread and site. You are all such special women! I learn so much from you. Have a wonderful, safe week.

Oh I am not keeping up at all with LOAD, nylene! I never plan to do each page by the end of the day. But I have posted just one page over there (that worked with one of our 29-4-29 challenges too) and have done only two LO's (4 pages) so far this month in total. It's good to see you feeling better and playing along with challenges. And you, too, knutschen. Hoping your "lazy weekend" helped you get even more back to feeling yourself. Hope they get some more staff so you don't have too many weekends taken up with work. Left love for your cards in the Gallery, patin. Looking forward to seeing your pages when they are uploaded. The class I took was actually stamping with paint on pottery, then smooshing it, restamping a clearer image, and creating a kind of antique look. I posted a pic of me with my vase in the Photo challenge thread. My vase is still in its box in the vehicle. So far I am loving the vehicle. It handles well, and has some additional features--like a heated steering wheel--from my other one. With the salesman, I drove it around a bit to learn the features, and parked it in a snowbank. It walked right out of there like it was on dry pavement, so I think we will get along fine! The computer, I still need to make a few adjustments, but everything seems to be functioning well so far. Dd and dgs left after an early supper today. We were pretty busy with the little guy all weekend, so when they left, I kind of crashed. He had a project for school, and we made valentines. He then asked if he could "just scrapbook". I gave him some supplies, and he got busy with glue and stickers and scissors, and in the end, his project became a valentine for his mom. No one was allowed to see it before it was sealed in its envelope b/c it was "a surprise". Okay. Time for this old bird to crawl into her nest... TTYL.

We pick up DS today!! I'm excited to have him coming home, but I did way better than DH. I was like he's not really a phone talker, he'll call and text when he's ready to. Let him enjoy his day. I knew he'd give us a quick call in the evening and might send us a pic every now and then. However, DH was really needy. He kept texting him the first day to the point of being annoying. FIL's wife sent some pics and he calmed down a very little bit, but not a lot. I think I'll be better with the empty nest than DH will. As long as DS is doing good, I think I'll be okay. Those cards are beautiful, patin. It's always so good to get together with crafty friends. Great idea to stay overnight close to the LSS. It's good to hear that your hands/wrist are healing well, knutschen. If the patient load is too high, they're going to have a hard time keeping those positions filled which makes it harder on dedicated personnel like yourself and on the patients. With you still getting over being sick, it's good to have unproductive days and lots of rest. How are you feeling, nylene? Are you getting your rest? Hope you are staying warm too. Some of those layouts were from January, I just got around to posting them this month. I'm truly a Pokey Pea, as well lately. Awe, that's so sweet of dgs, grammadee. I miss that age sometimes. He's valentine's are super cute that you shared on the photo thread. Also, your vase is A-Mazing! You are quite the artist. I love the work station they had set up too. DD is finally starting to feel better. She even came downstairs to grab her own breakfast yesterday. And came down on Friday night to sit by the fire for a little bit. She's even been able to get some school work done over the last few days. Yay! Alright, DH is off of his conference call, so I guess I'll go start a load of laundry. I was trying to stay out off the main floor. He's working from home this morning since we'll be leaving this afternoon. He does have a desk in our bedroom that he could use, but he likes to set up on my dining table. (shaking head-rolling eyes). lol.

patin - wow, those are amazing cards. I love the map "folding" you did and put it in my head-bank of ideas Not sure I could pull it off, but I'd like to try that on a layout. Thanks for your comments - I do NOT feel like I have anything to teach scrapbookers; it's so nice of your to say that I helped!!! I hear you about freak snow. It seems like when the weather news is warning of big storms, we just get a dusting. Then last night we got a solid 4" out of the blue...no real warning that things would be slowed down this morning! grammadee, sounds like you are making time count with your DGS. I remember having young kids and because we were ALWAYS busy, I often didn't make time for extras like valentines. So nice to have a grandparent take over those extras! We didn't have any of the grandparents around. I'm glad you can now crash and recoup. nylene - another challenge today I'm not keeping up with 29-4-29 like I wanted, but I'm off work today/tomorrow so fingers crossed I'll get a 2 completed! I've actually finished 4 layouts this month which is really good for me in 10 days! My Dad ended up in ER again Saturday night. I was working (at the hospital) so was able to "wrangle" him home Sunday morning. With a catheter now. He is one unhappy grumpy demanding ungrateful whiney man. I don't have much use for him at the best of times, and it's hard to give the support he wants/demands when he actually needs it. He left me a voice mail last week: "I moved to Cambridge so I could have help when I need it and you don't answer your d** phone". Nice Dad. I've already been over this morning to clean his bathroom. He gives nothing in return. He doesn't know anyone's birthdays. He doesn't give anything for Christmas. He brings tupperware when I invite him for dinner so he can take home leftovers... OK, enough whining! Sorry!

kitbop, I'm sending hugs to you too. I'm sorry your dad is being ungrateful. He must never have heard that you "don't bite the hand that feeds you!" Hope today goes better. LisaDV, glad that DS is home and you all survived. grammadee, your Valentines with DGS sound like fun. What a sweet boy to make his own design for his mom. I really miss those young years. I think I was meant to be a mother of young children, the teens don't seem to be as much fun. Now all my grands are becoming teens! I'm still trying to stay indoors as much as possible. I'll be glad when these germs/viruses decide to leave permanently. At least I can do some scrapping now and then. House cleaning that needs to be done will have to wait.

(((((HUGS))))) kitbop . You have to take comfort in the fact that you are doing all you can for you dad, AND that you are being a so much better example to your own kids, and try to let his attitude slide off your shoulders. I know that's hard. Sometimes I try to think of people like that as traditionally colour blind: just instead of colour, they are blind to the efforts and needs and interests of everyone else but themselves. Thanks for your comments about doing crafts with dgs. Dd's hubby is gone for long periods of time with the militay--not in combat zones until later in the year, but away from home--so she is essentially single parenting a little guy with ADD, impulse control issues, and Attachment Disorder (which is totally understandable, given his life before he came to them). Fortunately he has attached strongly to me and graampa, so when she comes here she can go to her room, work on her grad studies, unwind, and get a real break while he farms with Grampa and crafts or plays or watches movies with me. Stay healthy, nylene . Save your energy. Housework can wait. And wait. And wait... Glad your ds is headed home LisaDV, and that he enjoyed himself. Somehow I missed where it was he went? Hopefully your dh will adjust over the next couple of years! Also glad your dd is feeling a little better and getting back into schoolwork. Thanks for sharing your pages, woodysbetty . I hope this means you will be back to "normal" soon. Recovery is tough b/c we keep in our minds that time in the past when we were "healthy", and think that after surgery we will immediately be at that place. Also it is tricky, cuz you can start feeling a little better each day for a few days in a row, and in your head set up a trajectory for where you will be when. Then BOOM! You wake up and you feel like crap again and start feeling like you will ALWAYS feel this way. Sending you (((((HUGS))))) and virtual patience (Heaven knows I have very little ACTUAL patience to spare!). Going into town for lunch today with a bunch of other ladies whose birthdays are in February. I hear there will be cake. Also scheduled a regular checkup with my doctor to renew meds. And I will get some banking done while there as well. If I am going to leave home, I want to get as much done as possible so I don't have to go again for awhile! I need to do banking to transfer some extra money into our line of credit. The cheque for my new vehicle came out of there, and just before the weekend, the dishwasher decided it was, as dgs would say, "D-U-N Done!". I looked at different models at Home Depot on Thursday, and have ordered one on our HD cc. But when the bill comes we want to pay it from the line of credit. So I need to put some in there each month to pay for it. When the appliance arrives at the store, dh will go pick it up and I have arranged for a local plumber to install it. But that will be at least another couple of weeks. Okay. Off to get ready for town.

Happy Monday! That DANG BUG FINALLY GOT ME!!! LOL! I was fighting the good fight while my dh was sick for a whole week. Then, last Tuesday I woke up sick! This has been the worst cold/bug I have had in ages. nylene, I am with ya. I am staying inside until I get rid of this thing. I want to go to do some shopping at M's but too many people in there sneezing and coughing for me. I hate having to be in so long but self protection is self care. This bug going around is definitely not your regular cold. My dh is much better but still a little sick after weeks of this. Geez! Thanks for all the cheers and prayers. I am feeling better but still cautious. I will be back soon. Gotta go back and read all your comments and see your projects. Hugs!

I am sorry to hear about the tumbles that a couple of you have taken. Like nylene stated- falling is something I fear also. one of the gals at the crop I went to had fallen last winter on the ice & broke her wrist. She was telling me about the MONTHS of rehab. She is doing well, but will never regain her previous full range of motion. It is a worry as we age & get a little less sure eon our feet. @knutshen- I had forgotten you are a nurse. You have my admiration. I know scheduling can be such a nigtmare. I don't know how you all do those long shifts! grammadee - a HEATED STEERING WHEEL? Wow! I am putting that on my very long list of options I will look for in my next car. I remember when Mike & I bought our first brand new car & I was super excited about A/C & tinted windows! You are such a good grandma to all your kids, but how special that you are so bonded to your your challenged little guy. That made me tear up a bit! kitbop - I echo everyone else. Please feel free to vent. about your Dad. BTDT- sometimes you think you are going crazy & it doesn't help when you are tired & emotional. They sure can be stubborn! kellyr21 - Sorry you got the Bug too. We are getting yet another snow storm tonite. There was such a kerfuffle over the schools in our area not closing for the last storm (although they have closed 8 times thus far for far less severe storms- even once for cold temps.) that my DH & I will watch the late news. He goes to a Bible Study on Tues. early a.m. & if there is no school ; they cancel. We live about 25 miles away so he wants to know if he sleeps in or will be going tomorrow. We also host our Church Community Group tomorrow so will see what happens with our crazy weather. Well, I am off to tweak a LO or two. Stay warm!

Happy Tuesday! I am feeling much better today. I even got out in the sun and walked a little. My dh is feeling better too. We are both a little congested but I think it is almost over. Yippee!!! grammadee - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YA! I missed all the celebration but hope you had a fun time. Hope are your fur babies doing? @elaynef - Glad you have not gotten this bug. It is wicked I tell ya. You are definitely doing the right things. LisaDV - Glad your ds made it back safely. Your dh is gonna miss that kid when he goes off to college. That is so sweet! Love it! So I know you will be the brave one to hold him up. joyfulnana - How was the Chief's celebration? Did any of your fam or friends go? nylene - I hope you are back on your feet today. So cool to hear your dd and family came to Disneyland. It's been sunny weather minus Sunday so it would of be nice to be there. knutschen - Alright, you are getting back to full health, too. Us Peas have gone through it this last several months and it is nice to finally have some normalcy again. I am crocheting a hat. I saw a YouTube video and thought I would try it. It is taking longer than I thought but I hope to finish it this week. Waving to patin , kitbop msliz and all you other peas! Have a wonderful evening!

Glad you are feeling well enough to get outside, kellyr21, and that you have been able to stave off your dh's virus, @elaynef. My cold has wandered off, but today my gall bladder is not happy. It has been behaving lately, and I guess I must have been a bit careless yesterday, so it decided to tweak my memory. So back to NO fat at all, and today mostly clear fluids and lots of rest. Loving all the Pokey's creations I have been seeing this month: great travel pages, patin; loving that you are taking on the challenges, msliz and nylene. And I am always amazed at how you keep up with LOAD, justjac. I love your 29-4-29 challenges, kitbop: you think like I do: if I can do one challenge, why not take them all on at once? Took some doing, but I got your first one done today: it was fun. You are an awesome team leader, joyfulnana. Hoping you and LisaDV get some crafting time soon. After my busy week last week doing other things, I took some time this week to get back into scrapping. I need to sort the last batch of photos I picked up and add them to the big pile of winter pic's that I have not made much headway through as yet. SO many hockey pages crying to be made! But instead of tackling those, I started working on my February SCT kit which is supposed to be about my favourite things, but has morphed into simply a book about me, currently. (My fav's will definitely be a big part of it, but not the whole album). It seemed easier to get going on that rather than my usual pages, which have more space and require more thought and planning. So far, I have completed the cover and three pages. I have shared them in the specific chalenge threads &/or in the sharing thread, but decided to share them here, too. Hello! Wow this thread has moved fast! grammadee Happy Belated Birthday! It sounds like you had a very good time and lots of celebrating. I'm really loving your book of me! Ugh my dishwasher went out a few months ago and it was horrendous hand washing dishes lol. I'm sure your DD appreciates being able to take a little break when she visits and that the little guy is so bonded with you and your DH. Grandparenting is the best! I hope your gallbladder settles down - take care of yourself! nylene you take care of yourself too! I'm glad you're feeling better. Better enough to do some challenges too! kellyr21 glad you are feeling better too! Man, we've been a sick bunch this winter LisaDV I had to chuckle at DH being the worried mother hen! I'm glad you are getting some scrappy time in! kitbop - vent away! My dad was not a nice person to be around either and he didn't have sickness as an excuse. I love the way you turned your first world problems around and looked for the bright side. I used to do that, but I don't know, as I've gotten older, I've gotten less optimistic, but I'm working on that! woodysbetty so good to see you popping in! But your recovery sounds painful. Are you going to be able to go back to your yoga practice? I remember you said that helped keep your MS at bay somewhat. @knutshen your workplace sounds like mine. I'm not a nurse, but we have a hard time getting people and then keeping them. It makes things so much more stressful! I hope your new nurses all stay!! patin I remember how envious I was that you guys had John Elway. I'm not quite sure how to act now that we have a QB lol. It's been a long wait, but I think he was definitely worth it! I didn't go to the parade, but I did live stream it on my phone at work (shhh) lol. LisaDV there were not quite as many people as they were expecting, but I would imagine that was due to the weather. DS has had some sketchy looking things going on at the property his apartment overlooks, so he and Rudy have been spending his Rudy nights with me. It's been a little chaotic lol. And this weekend should be interesting since they will be here from tomorrow thru Sunday night Eeek! I know they won't be here the whole time, mostly just at bedtime. And Rudy and I are going to have to go thru that whole withdrawal thing again once things calm down over there lol. It's been a little crazy but it's been nice too. I've been busy with all my annual Dr. appts. We had a small storm this morning that I drove in to get to the Dr before work. Only to find out my appt was for tomorrow Fortunately, they worked me in so I didn't have to go back tomorrow lol. I don't usually drive in bad weather now that I work from home, but I had rescheduled this appointment last week because of bad weather and I want to keep my bad weather driving skills up! I haven't done any of the 29-4-29 challenges this month, But I have managed to get a few layouts done. All of you in the snowy places I hope it stops soon! I'm ready for Spring. It's been so gloomy here since the first of the year that it's affecting my mood! It feels a lot like the inversions you sometimes get in Utah nylene. I hope everyone is having a great week!

kitbop , I hope you are surviving your unruly patient. I have been thinking about you. My dad was not a pleasant man and got worse as he got old and sick. Mom was the opposite; sweet and loving and became even more loving. Hugs to you. kellyr21 , I'm sorry you got the bug too. I hope you can continue to improve and get outside to walk a bit. That always seems to lift my spirits. joyfulnana , I'm sorry things are not great where Rudy and dad live right now. I know Rudy loves being at your home. Best wishes when you have to cut those "apron strings" again. He will love keeping you busy doing things that aren't on your ordinary list. LOL Glad you have been able to do some pages. grammadee , I love your wonderful "About Me" book. Your photo with the camera captures exactly what I think you are like. Right? Just so full of fun and ambition. You are a wonderful example of keeping busy. I hope the gallbladder gets better. @elaynef , I hope your husband is doing better by now. These are wicked bugs this winter. patin , I think we are getting the same snowstorms. We still have snow on the ground but it's a nice day today. I hope the huge storms are over for the year. I see that you have done more pages and I'll get over to check them out today or tomorrow. I had a dental appt Tues morning and felt kind of yucky. By the time I got home I really felt awful and spent most of the day sleeping. Yesterday we had plans to meet 3 of our kids to see a new building our son is building and then have lunch. By the time I got home I knew something was wrong. I called and was worked in to see the Dr. and found I had a kidney infection. He scolded me for not coming in sooner and gave me a big antibiotic shot and meds by mouth. Today I feel better than I have for several days. I'm being lazy and just doing what I have to. I think I am truly on the mend. I'm very behind on the Challenges, but hope the extra days in March might allow me to catch up. Have a great weekend, everyone.

nylene, I hope you feel better SOON! That photo with the camera was taken a few years ago. It represents who I would LIKE to be, and how I would like others to see me, but sadly, in reality, that drivers' licence photo looks alot like me too often... I think I have Resting Sad Face. I *think* I have managed to put my gallbladder back to normal. Have lived on clear and non fat full fluids for two days. Touch wood. Woke up pain free this morning. So far all I have ingested is coffee, but it is going down nicely. Not sure if ddil and dgk's will be here for the weekend. She texted last night that the youngest one was sick. She is waiting for awhile this morning before leaving the Calgary area. Will let me know when she decides.

grammadee , I am glad your gallbladder is behaving a little better. When mine was bad I had trouble with fresh foods like apples and carrots as well as fats. I have been fine since it was removed. Hugs to you. I hope the kids can visit for the weekend and that they are well. There is so much sickness around that there were only 13 children in the first grade classroom for the Valentine Party. Em had everything ready and I just added 2 hands. Your origami heart bow is fabulous. You should post it here too!! I am feeling so much better. I am faithfully taking the meds, but I have more energy than I've had for several weeks. Maybe I can catch up on the challenges over the long weekend. (Presidents'Day)

Hello everyone - surfacing briefly as I switch from scanning photos to scanning slides. I've mostly finished with the loose photos (not the albums) and have scanned roughly 10,000 photos. Slide scanning just started today and is already proving to be MUCH slower and more tedious.

grammadee , I am glad your gallbladder is behaving a little better. When mine was bad I had trouble with fresh foods like apples and carrots as well as fats. I have been fine since it was removed. Hugs to you. I hope the kids can visit for the weekend and that they are well. Glad you are feeling a bit better, too! People look at me strangely when I tell them I am avoiding fibre as well as fat, but raw fruits and veggies DO seem to aggravate my gut. Thanks for "backing me up"! The doctor has booked another ultra sound for a week from today, and I have a follow up appointment with the surgeon a week later (the one who thinks he has a way to "get gall bladder out of there" without being hampered by the mesh or scar tissue). I had almost decided NOT to go through with surgery, but after this last "attack" out of the blue, I have to admit it is more tempting. The kids got here on Friday, and seem to be feeling okay. Although one of them is on antibiotics and the other on a puffer. Today is Family Day here in Alberta. Sadly the family left this morning for the long drive home. Mom has to work tomorrow. The littlest one wanted to "stay in this house FOREVER" b/c he was having so much fun with Daddy's old toys. In the Photo challenge thread, I posted some photos of them with their Tinker Toy hearts, but they had a blast with everything from Fisher Price Little People to Tonka Toys planes and trucks to some pre Discovery Toys puzzles with gears. Wishing everyone an awesome week!

Ugh Linda, what a chore, but so great you are getting it done! grammadee - working on the surgical floor, we see a LOT of cholecystectomies...even the more complex ones who are admitted do well...get it out! Heck no to living on clear fluids! I'm so glad you were feeling well to enjoy your family! nylene, glad you are perking up. My Mom has been dragging for MONTHS...finally realized that the bladder infection she had months ago hadn't actually cleared out, and the doctor put her on antibiotics that were stronger...and now she too is feeling so much better. I'm without family this family day weekend! My whole crew headed out Friday to a get together of friends/family. However, it was mostly a game playing weekend, and while all the men/kids are there, I'd have been the only Mom. So when our dog hurt herself Thursday I volunteered to stay home with her. The dog is such a drama queen, but we love her. She hurt both her front legs (jumping off the kitchen table. She gets up to eat the cat food!) so she was quite pathetic. I had to carry her around, and give her water from a bottle as she wouldn't bear weight on either front paw! She is recovered now I am finishing up my 29-4-29 challenge as I type. Took a break to make cookies for the homecoming crowd, and rest my neck.

Happy Wednesday! I hope you all are well. Waving hey to you all! We are finally much better. We had a good Valentine's Day/weekend. I got one piece of candy left in my heart box. I have been working on some cards and a new crocheted hat. The hat is coming along. I will share it when I finish. The cards are pretty. I used Anna Griffin products. No surprise! LOL! This time I didn't use her kits but just separate pieces. I will be posting more pictures on my blog including the AG dies and embossing folder I got. Birthday Wishes Card by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr grammadee- Hang in there! So whatever you decide to do, I am praying and cheering for you. Wishing you well. nylene- Look at all the wonderful layouts you made. Girl, you are so talented. I am glad you are feeling better too. I hope it is warming up there in your area. We have had some warm days here. We had requested our wall heater be replaced and it was weeks before they came. Of course they came when the weather is warming up. LOL! But hey, we won't be cold anymore.

Love the card you shared here, kellyr21, and all its sisters on your blog. That lacey die looks like a keeper: so many ways it could be used. Tried to leave a comment over there, but when I installed my new computer I ended up changing a bunch of passwords, and somehow I couldn't connect properly on the blog site to publish. But I was working from my ipad which doesn't store my passwords the way my PC does. I am packing up this morning for a weekend at dd's home. Dgs is celebrating his 7th bd today. I need to get into the city to pick up his gift, then get over to their home where we will go out to Dairy Queen for his family supper this evening. Tomorrow is his kids' party. Hoping I can get photos of the military obstacle course activity! I guess they paint the kids' faces and they crawl through sand under nets and over barriers, through mazes, etc. Dd is making him a cake with "army guys" on it. Sunday I think I will be taking him to a movie so dd can have a little time to work on her grad studies, then home. Normally i stay until Monday, but I have an ultrasound booked near here for Monday morning, so... Finally finished adding up and posting my points last night. Whew! Here are some things I have done this week: This one was truly a "Pokey" project. Including getting the background ready, I worked on it for at least four days. bonding over hair by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This one was really quick! It was fun to just "Grab, glue & go!" super toys by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here is my birthday card for dgs: military box card by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Will have my ipad while away, so not completely out of touch, but must get going getting packed and on the road, need to shut this computer down, so will say now: "See you on the flip side!"

kitbop , how was the weekend without the family around? Did you get a lot done? How's the dog doing? And your grumpy patient? kellyr21 , your card is beautiful. You do beautiful work with those Anna Griffin pieces. They really fit your personality. So gorgeous. I will go look at your blog when I get finished here. I hope you and Ron are both well now and can enjoy a bit warmer weather. Linda , I commend you for all the work you are doing for your family. That is really a labor or love, and many hours of love. I hope you will get some scrapping time soon. grammadee , they removed my gallbladder laproscopically and I just have a couple of tiny scars. I couldn't believe how much better I felt and I went back to work the following week. I hope you don't have any more bad attacks. Sending you healing hugs. You are really working on the challenges! I am always 4 days behind. I get one done and then realize I'm still 4 days behind. It's a good thing we have a few days in March to finish. I told you all about my DD's family's crazy Polar Plunge tradition, so I am posting the layouts about it here. Polar PlungePolar Plunge I hope all the rest of our Pokeys are doing well and keeping warm!

Thanks nylene - it really IS a huge project but it's neat seeing the photos and slides - mum never showed us any of her slides so they are all new to me. She worked in Europe from 1963-1969 as a teacher in American DoD schools in Germany and Belgium and she travelled to every country in Europe except Albania so loads of neat slides and pictures from then including the 1964 Winter Olympics at Innsbuck Austria. Hi to all the Pokies...I'm back to the scanner -working on some slides from the late 70s when I was a child in Cyprus

grammadee, great pages! Are you implying that your pages don't normally take you 4 days? I'd say 3-4 days is typical for a page for me!!! Love how you framed the finish hair-do! nylene, your pages really stand out among the peas. You design well, and add those adorable paper piecings. Your pages always get a 2nd look from me. I did have a restful weekend and got a couple of pages done. One of my favourite parts was sprawling across the bed at night The dog is just fine this week. My Dad, well, I think I need to get myself in to some counselling as I can feel the anger inside me whenever I have to deal with him. It's one "story" after another. I'm looking forward to some more scrappy time this weekend. This I finished yesterday (but I started it Monday) layout breakfast secrets by kirstendrew, on Flickr
