Hi ladies, ok I know this has been discussed before and I did look on Youtube for organizing and storage solutions for ephemera and die cuts but there isn't much out there. I am drowning, drowning I say in this amazing and fun product. I literally have it everywhere. I was organized in the beginning but I keep buying it and it comes in my kits too. I have my cute little silver trays I use (thanks to Mercytiara for that cute little idea) but now it's just out of control and I have no idea what I really have anymore. Ack....what to do ok actually it's a fun problem to have if I'm being honest. I am a ephemera/ die cuts addict. I love Shimelle's die cuts especially with all the fun gold in it. Ok, well, let me know, how do you store and organize your ephemera/die cuts?

I store coordinating paper and embellishments together, mainly so I don't forget what I have. Exception is brads, ribbon, twine, buttons and flowers where I pull from these generic containers as needed. If you prefer it all out in the open, can you have different containers by theme or color scheme? Do you need to go through it any purge any?

I have two ways I store it - either in Avery Elle storage pockets or if it gets too large (meaning I have too much of one line / company that I use together) then I store in a plastic bin or old stampin up clear stamp cases and store with the line. For example, most of my crate paper are in one plastic bin as I find these mix well together. However, I only have one line of Heidi Swapp ephemera so it is in one Avery Elle pocket. I store my Amy Tangerine all together with her line in a Stampin Up plastic storage stamp case. I also use the Avery Elle storage pockets for silhouette cuts I haven't used yet and that has worked well for me.

I am having issues with this as well - I also do a lot of printables and they are all over the place ! I had them sorted by type and size - but I am planning on sorting them by colour - I found that I am always rather looking for colour than for shape. Good luck !

It sounds like you have a lot more than I do, but I find good ol' Ziploc bags work for me. I never thought to use the Avery Elle storage pockets and I have some at home so I may give those a try.

I store mine in 6x8 albums. The variety of pockets are perfect for all different sized die cuts.

I got these snap envelopes from the Container store that I store things like that in. I try to keep them together by theme or type, but I def forget what i have too! I have to constantly go thru all of them to remember what I have. But I like these clear envelopes and the quality is perfect. They are a little expensive but I can justify it to stay organized. I keep them in a bin right under my workspace. I am still in the process of organizing my new studio space, so we'll see how it works out. Clear Envelopes

Hm. I bought a little wooden box that holds 6 berry boxes. I've been using it for PL cards, enamel dots, brads, and such. My die cut packs fit in one of the boxes nicely but I'm constantly rummaging through the packs - because I search by color. Why didn't I realize that until a few minutes ago? I need to rethink this whole thing and divide them up into the color sections of my ScrapRack. Duh.

I have the 4x6 photo boxes that fit into a carrying case. By Iris. I bought it to organize my photos and then didn't print out as many as I thought I would. Thinking I may start keeping ephemera and such in those boxes. Then label the boxes.
ETA: OK, just went back and looked at thekatsmeow's storage. That is what I use but I have the case that holds 5 or 6.

Much of my embellishment storage problem was solved by a six foot, six armed Clip It Up. I love it.

I keep most of mine in an old 3 and 1/2 by 5 pocket photo album. It's quick and easy to flip through the pages to see what I am looking for. I do try to keep things categorized as much as possible. Ie: baby, fishing, winter, etc. The album has 500 pockets. However, not everything fits in the pockets!
