Over at Scrapbook dot com there is an article called "Famous Scrapbookers in History." It was interesting to read about some of these folks like Queen Victoria, Mark Twain, Amelia Earhart, Pres. Thomas Jefferson and others.
Here is the link Famous Scrapbookers

That was really interesting. As someone mentioned in the comments, they missed (deliberately perhaps?) Hugh Hefner. I had no idea but I read about his massive archive of scrapbooks in another thread here the other day. He beats everyone for volume - I think they said he had thousands - but I can’t even begin to imagine the content!
I like the old idea of scrapbooks with news clippings and ephemera. I kept a news clipping book when I lived in Japan 20 years ago. There were so many interesting articles in the English language newspaper I read that just blew my mind. I look through it occasionally, although some of them still make me angry!

Some of the scrapbooks are available online. I glanced through Zelda’s and will go back later and check it out, as well as a few others. TFP.

Thank you for posting that link! WOW----wouldn't it be awesome if we could see ALL of them? I'd LOVE to see Jackie Kennedy's, and I'm fascinated that they are locked up in the JKF Library and it says NO ONE has seen them. But I wonder, wouldn't her children and grandchildren want them in their posession for their personal memories? I'd love to see all of them; especially Andy Warhol's and Thomas Jefferson's !!! I'm so glad yours and don 's are NOT locked in archives and that we can see them if you choose to share!
