lainey ....love your scrapbook pages!! I made a scrapbook for my great niece at Christmas ----(after not scrapbooking in a long time) ---and it was SO fun to delve back into allll the paper, ribbons, etc. again ! muggins ....your mice are SOOO cute !!! I recently got addicted to youtube videos of crafts---ESPECIALLY the crafts from Dollar Tree! UK peas--are low-cost "dollar" ( pound ) stores as popular in your countries as they are here? I mean....they are EVERYWHERE in the U.S! I used to think it was low-quality junk, but there ARE some high-quality things!!! Not to mention, the BEAUTIFUL crafts these youtubers create !!! One of my FAVE peeps that I follow on youtube is in link below. I saw this and couldn't WAIT to do it. I would never have thought of ombre effect of the roses! I have binge watched MANY of her videos! Here's a video if you're interested: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKgkMY09D4I
By the way---the result at the bottom took me MAYBE an hour, and only cost 7 dollars.

In our very small town we have a Poundland, Poundstretcher, Nickel and Dime and there was another one that closed recently. You can't guarantee to get anything decent but sometimes they have very good things.

It’s trendy here among young people to wear totally mismatched socks.

@patter I hope you heal quickly. I'm glad you have something to entertain yourself with. I just discovered this cool office chair that has a seat that hangs from the arm rests and rocks. So you can lean forward and back while keeping good posture. It's expensive, but so is having back problems. I am looking at getting one when I set up my art studio room.
muggins your little lupins and their galopin* friend are adorable! I love them. *this French word for monkey also means ragamuffin lainey I love your socks. I think the different toes make them more interesting and cool. roundtwo I love the quilt fabrics and pattern. I don't really have any advice, but I suggest you go to Instagram for inspiration. You can even search for the True North fabrics and the quilt pattern. I haven't done a project yet, but I am practicing for a mixed media calligraphy project for a wedding present.

Such lovely makes to see! I’m alternating between crochet and knitting at the moment. Ive done the fronts and have nearly finished half a back of this cardigan. I’m probably about 1/3 way through this shawl. I just love the stitches! I’m beginning to love my circular needle and thanks to elaine , flute4peace and another pea whose name escapes me, I’m sorry, I think future circulars will be the rotating kind. I can see the advantage of that. Anyway, this is the pattern : www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/purple-trio And here is where I am : The colours of both look quite similar but the top one is a soft vintage rose pink, cream and grey and cream, and the bottom is a sort of magenta, pearl grey and a glorious multicolour. Those colors are so pretty!!

Patter, that blanket is so lovely. What pattern are you using?
I hope your recovery is fast and easy! <3
Thank you. And the pattern is for a dishcloth but I just made my beginning chain longer to make a baby afghan. I chained 140, and it makes it about 40" wide with Lion Brand Pound of Love. It really makes for a beautiful blanket pattern. I will definitely do this again but with lots of bright colors. Here is the link: foothillsofthegreatsmokymountains.blogspot.com/2008/03/tulip-stitch-cloth.htmlThanks, Patter! That looks like a beautiful pattern to turn into a baby blanket.

Here’s an update on my dollhouse renovation. This is the kitchen. I put up ship lap, a “tile” backsplash, hardwood floors, made the navy blue fridge and cabinets with rose gold hardware and a “Carrara” marble countertop. The upper cabinets are almost done—they’re white. And next up is a navy island with a butcher block counter top and farmhouse sink. 7BAAA005-0FE4-486C-9097-F24824963689 by , on Flickr

Here's what I've been working on. It is a quilt where I get a pattern emailed to me daily for each day of the year. These blocks are my January blocks plus a couple of "bonus" blocks. They each are 3 1/2" square. Once I sew them into a quilt that makes them 3". The designer starts us using dark colors with only a few "lighter" colors in the blocks. After we finish with these the next step is to begin to use light, truly light fabrics. I also think the blocks go to 6 1/2".

The Winwick FB group is great, I've asked all sorts of daft questions and people are so lovely and helpful. I would just say cast on a sock and give it a try. I've finished one of my DK socks following this pattern Spree socks and it's knit up so quickly.

katybee I love this! Did you use a kit or buy the components separately? I’m thinking about updating mine but I wouldn’t know where to start. lainey they’re really cool. I wish I could knit or crochet. CeeScraps that look great. Looking forward to seeing how it progresses. @fluteforpeace you are so talented! Love those outfits. I wish I could knit outfits for my characters but I haven’t knit since I made a wonky scarf when I was 10! gillyp I love the colors and crocheted textures in you shawl. I’d love to have the skill to make something like that.

katybee I love this! Did you use a kit or buy the components separately? I’m thinking about updating mine but I wouldn’t know where to start. Thank-you! I made the cabinets from scratch using mat board and bass wood. The ship lap and flooring are strips of iron-on wood veneer. The tile is from Hobby Lobby. ETA: The cabinet hardware is from PaperDoll Miniatures. There are 3-d printed.
