Sorry this is so large; the blanket itself is crib-sized. Baby blanket for a coworker, took me MONTHS because of boredom! Cascade 220 superwash wool. Color is Lime Sherbet.

Very pink knits does a series on both magic loop and double pointed needles for sock knitting Very Pink Knits
Is the magic loop the same as a travelling loop? Chandi from Expression Fibre Arts (love that woman!) showed herself knitting on circulars with the cable looped on itself and when she got to the end of her row the loop disappeared and I think her work was in position for the next row. Does that make any sense? I didn’t have time to watch her again at that point. I'm not sure if it's the same thing, I've never heard of it referred to as travelling loop. I'll have a look at Chandi's YouTube and see if I can find that video.
My first attempt at needle felting, how much fun is stabbing something repeatedly with a sharp object

I'm enjoying everyone's projects. I can't see lainey 's socks, but I assume they are, uh, fraternal twins, rather than identical! muggins: love, love, love the bunnies, and that money is so CUTE! flute4peace: I saw the dolls earlier; the uniforms are cute! Your prize winning shawl is GORGEOUS! CeeScraps: the quilt is going to be beautiful, I think. I love the colors so far. finsup: I like your striped blanket, but I love the squares for "Sophie's Dream." I think this will be a spectacular piece. Now that I have the baby blanket "monkey" off my back, I'm working on a blanket designed by Kaffe Fassett: www.masondixonknitting.com/how-to-make-a-kaffe-fassett-blanket/I'm not going to use the big emblems he uses, like the urn or the tiered cupcakes, but the smaller patterns. This helps keep me going, because you knit a band, and then can change colors and knit a new design.

Love everyone’s work so far!!!!!
Today I get to repair kid costumes from the preschool. My darling 3 year old grabs the damaged costumes and throws them in his cubby to bring home for me to repair. He also tells EVERYONE “my mom is going to fix this.” Lol

Although it probably isn't the most desirable thing to fix/sew, remember that your child will be beaming when they bring back the costumes back to school.

I’m actually the costume repair person so I totally expected to be repairing stuff. I did the same when my DD was there. He absolutely will be beaming and he’s so darn cute. If I can get a pic of him in the repaired costume, I’ll share it here.

My current project is a 36" square reproduction tobacco basket to hang on my wall. Since this photo was taken it has been taken off the frame and I have trimmed the edges and painted my last name and wedding year on one of the corners. It still needs to be stained and I have some brad nails for the sides. I'm going back and forth on if I should "distress" it by breaking out some of the reed, etc. (Feel free to weigh in with your opinion on that issue - if you have one!) This is my inspiration photo. I do wish my reed was as chunky but it's the widest I had.

Lovely shawls ladies! jennifercw what an interesting project. I like the idea of it being distressed. Have you made other things with reeds?

jeremysgirl , that is awesome. And your mom looks so fun! Love her glasses!!! elaine , wow, love that. What yarn did you use, and what pattern is that again? Everything about it is perfect! Thank you! It is V for Vintage, from Mijo Crochet: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/v-for-vintage The yarn is Scheepjes Whirl - it is a fingering weight cotton-acrylic blend. The skeins are 1000+ yards and have long evolutions of color. So, this was made with only 1 skein and only 2 ends to weave in (the beginning and end). I’m working on Lost in Time by the same designer, but found out last night that I mis-ordered 1 skein and now have to put it on hold until I get the right skein in. That one, the way I am crocheting it, has color changes almost every row, so TONS of ends to weave in. www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lost-in-time

I did the one in my avatar and posted another one like it in the January craft thread. (I sold the one in my avatar but wanted one to keep.)

Emelle If you click "reply" you can "add attachment" and then pick your image from your pictures. Make sure you keep the size within parameters or it won't add. Mine, I have to always change it to "large" when I post from my iPad.

I don’t know how knitters make people sweaters. I’m on day 4 of a doll sweater and am so stinking sick of it. I’ve made a couple of cardigans but this one is a PITA. Probably because I keep making mistakes and having to rip out.

A little Valentine's Day wall hanging. The pattern is called Sweetheart Mini Quilt and is a Free Pattern Friday from Lindsey Weight at Primrose Cottage Quilts. I have made quite a few of her freebies - her patterns are easy to follow and most are the perfect size for my little corner of rotating wallhangings.
