Some of these JonBenet specials with "media experts" sitting around in their lab coats (eyeroll) are so sensational and ridiculous they're hard to watch. I never got the killer vibe from the family. (parents or bro) Unfortunately Patsy had JonBenet on full public display on stage and performing at the local mall and in her own home there are so many possibilities. The only new tip we'll get in this case is if a family match from the DNA pulls up on a Ancestry site. Didn't the DNA sample have Latino ancestry? I have to start fresh on this case again because it bugs the shit out of me.

I thought I'd heard the touch DNA could have been from manufacturing?

I don't think mother, father or brother had anything to do with it. Nor do I think they covered up anything. Just my gut feeling.

Sometimes it's more about what isn't being said that speaks the loudest. If I had been in that situation (even with all the horrible accusations being thrown at my family) you wouldn't be able to shut me up about needing justice for my child. Not to mention preventing this from happening to another child. Sure they have been interviewed over the years about the intruder theory but the conversation always comes back to the suffering and victimization of the surviving family, not JonBonet. With all the privilege and influence that family possessed, it just seems odd that they weren't leading the charge. Why? Because they know who did this. We may never know but they do!

The True Crime Garage podcast just did a 4 part series on JonBenet. It might be worth a listen for you.

I'm a Websleuths and true crime junkie. Jon Benet? I still can't decide. How about Darlie Routier? Anyone follow that case? She's another I just can't decide on, after studying it for actual decades. Darlie was big news around here. She's on death row in Gatesville, TX not very far from where I live. I haven't read anything on her case in a long time, but I have always believed that she did it. JonBenet- I always end up back at the family.

The True Crime Garage podcast just did a 4 part series on JonBenet. It might be worth a listen for you. Thanks. I just listened to the autopsy part. When you read the autopsy, see the pics and learn about that garotte you realize the intensity and madness behind the murderer 'getting off' doing this. This was a predator, a nut. He's got to have other victims out there. Just confirms my belief more the family wasn't involved.

This is what I believe happened. Probably Patsy was upset over bed wetting in the middle of the night or Burke angry that JonBenet took some of his pineapple and struck her rendering her unconscious while John strangled her set the scene and Patsy wrote the ransom note.

I listened to the true crime garage podcasts and realized that the blow to the head probably happened after strangulation since there was very little blood. And it was was an 8 1/2” long fracture basically splitting her skull in two. There’s no way in my mind a nine year old could have done that. I now believe it was an intruder. The poor baby deserves justice and it’s been so long no one will ever know what actually happened unless there’s a confession backed by evidence.

The only possible way I see the parents involved in a cover up is to protect the son. No way they protect each other.
Such a sad sad story, a mess of errors and leads in so many directions; and sadly no justice will ever come for Jon Benet I’m afraid.

There are so many things about the case which make no sense, but I don't think Jon staged that death scene.
I can maybe believe that if Burke or Patsy had accidentally killed JonBenet Jon might have put her body in the trunk of his car and buried her in the woods or disposed of her body some other way, but I can't see any father who has any affection for his daughter tying her body up in that garrote.

The Darlie case bugged me too. Isn’t she the one who had the birthday party at the cemetery? Regarding Jon benet, here’s my theory. Someone in that house, either Burke or patsy accidentally killed her. John calls a “fixer” to set the scene but not a very good one because of all the plot holes left. That’s why the family appears guilty at times, they know the truth.

The only possible way I see the parents involved in a cover up is to protect the son In theory I could see this, but not in the way JonBenet was killed, far too violent and OTT for a parent who loves a child to use as a cover-up. Whoever did it got a nylon cord, put it around her neck and then used a paintbrush handle to twist the cord tight until she was garroted and choked to death. If you are a normal parent who loves their child can you imagine doing this?...even if it was to cover up for another child? It doesn't make any sense. I can maybe come at them staging something to make it look like an accident or a fall, but even then it's a stretch, I think most people would just call an ambulance. Those elaborate cover-ups pretty much only occur on crime shows. Even husbands who kill their wives, don't normally leave them strangled in the house, they try to hide the bodies and pretend they are "missing" Plus JonBenet was not an abused child, there were no other signs of abuse, no old bruises, healed fractures etc. Parents don't go from normal and loving to garroting their child for a wet bed...they would be signs of other things happening before then.

The ransom note was the biggest factor in the parents guilt. A kidnapper does not write a rambling 3 page letter - with the pen and paper from the house ! The whole scene screams Patsy. I think the paintbrush used on JonBenet was even Patsys.

That ransom note analysis is one of the best I have seen relative to this homicide.
Last I knew the autopsy is still on smokinggun.com or possibly in a centralized location with other forensic documents from the case. I don't do true crime no mo' so I don't know ☺
You know, the grand jury did reach a conclusion but the DA steadfastly refused to proceed.
I think that possibly politics and corruption are what derailed the investigation and kept the case out of the courts.
Justice circumvented.

I absolutely agree with you. I think if Patsy had gotten angry and violent and things got out of hand in the shower or bathroom or whatever, the logical “cover up” would be a slip and fall in the bathroom or shower or down the stairs and then two doting prominent parents holding vigil bedside in the hospital. And I don’t think it’s plausible either parent was sexually abusive to the point Dec 25th they decided to escalate to massive head trauma and garroting. I’m saying the only way it makes sense they would be involved with the horrific acts of the body staging, bizarre note etc would be a desperate attempt to cover for their other child, not in any scenario I can see them trying to cover for each other. And I’d only think a “loving” parent capable of the garrote if they thought she was already dead and were desperate to throw the trail off someone else by making it look a heinous sex crime. It’s plausible but not probable. There are just so many bizarre aspects and mistakes in the case.
