Hi February Divas! AussieMeg , boymom5 , Chinagirl828 , gramma , ComplicatedLady , nylene , KikiPea , lynnek , justjac , sleepingbooty , catseatcheese , patin How has the first week of the month treated you? Honestly, between work, family needs and February "blahs" I'm not really liking the month yet! Poor February. Do we have any February birthdays in our group? I bet that makes the month much more special! I made a blackforest cake this week "just because" - it's one of our birthday staples, and my kids were pleasantly surprised to see it. 29-4-29 is a boost and I've been scrapping more because of it. I definitely want to try for the kit prize. Who's with me? I gave myself some retail therapy yesterday - made a small SSS order with their 18% off sale, including the Brutus Monroe "not your momma's cardstock" that I've been wanting to try for ink blending and cards. Then I went to my LSS, and walked out with a Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat. I've been eyeing that thing since it's release...and I finally caved!!! I like it What was your most recent scrappy purchase - and would you recommend it? Hope we can keep in touch in here - keep a little up to date on our life and scrappy progress!

I'm having a very productive month so far. 9 Layouts done so far, which equates to one per day. We'll see how long that lasts! What was your most recent scrappy purchase - and would you recommend it? I'm on a self-imposed no-spend until next payday, so not too many scrappy purchases from me. I have downloaded a ton of freebies over the last week. And I did buy a new template today for the layout I wanted to do for 29-4-29 Day 7.

Hello All!
I am loving the inspiration from 29-4-29! I did one page from the sketch last week and have some friend cards started that maybe I can finish today.
I live in Colorado and we are getting serious winter weather this week. My kids had two late start days and one snow day. That always messes with my schedule!
I am headed to a retreat in Texas at the end on the month so I am spending a lot of time trying to prepare for that. My hope is to get the whole 2019 PL done! 😳 I am using a digital planner template and trying to knock out those pages then will take them to embellish at the retreat. We’ll see how that goes.
I did place an order from Ali Edwards this week to get the page protectors I needed and was close to free shipping so I threw in a couple of stamp sets.

I’ve only done one, so far, this month. I’ll be doing another one, or two, tonight, hopefully. We’ll see how the rest of the month goes. 🙂

I am working on it slowly. I am behind already so doubt if I can finish all challenges. I have one ready to post, one to photograph and two whose photos are lying on a stack of possible papers. Can you tell I work in a mess? kitbop , thanks for hosting. I haven't bought anything for quite a while. I did buy some little pearls and an ink pad.

I have been highly unmotivated so far this month. Not just with scrapbooking and crafting. I’ve been unmotivated at work too. I did get a little bit done on my December album today, but that’s about it so far. I hoping to do some of the 29-4-29 challenges. The ones posted so far have been inspiring but for some reason, I can’t translate the inspiration into what to do with my pictures. Not sure if that makes sense... I recently got my Unity Stamp order. I ordered the stamp that they were (are?) sending some of the proceeds for Australia fire relief. In addition to the special stamp, also ordered some of their Elf on a Shelf stamps and actually used those today in my December album. I would definitely recommend them. I ordered a few things from Hero Arts that I’m waiting for. Not the monthly kit though—I was tempted to subscribe but I ended up not doing it because I already get two kits and have too much stuff. In fact, I also cancelled my Spellbinders small die of the month kit. I didn’t really like this month and really haven’t kept up with using them. They are really nice dies and worth the cost. I just have too much stuff. I’m hoping to maybe get something done tomorrow but we’ll see.

I have one ready to post, one to photograph and two whose photos are lying on a stack of possible papers. Can you tell I work in a mess? Me too I have a random scattering of photos on my desk - just options of "to scrap next". I have a scattering of products I "want to use". I have a stack of layouts to put away (although I keep it to under 12 inches). And I have one with nuvo drops drying...way up high, away from possible cat visitors to my desk! Did anyone else watch Kristina Werner's video about cleaning her space? It made me feel better - my space is very very cramped, and absolutely stuffed full. It really needs a re-org, but currently I know where everything is, despite it being disorganized! If I start reorganizing, I'll never find anything! I also cancelled my Spellbinders small die of the month kit I've often thought this looked like a good deal. Likewise, the hero arts monthly kit looks like good bang for your buck, as does the Simon Says Stamp monthly kit. However, if the items really aren't getting used, it turns into a bad deal! I've eyed all these kits, but never subbed because of it.

I'm kind of in a slump and I have been getting a ton of pages done, but only a few I've really liked. I've mainly been using sketches and kits exactly as shown. But it is helping me get done my vacation pictures from 2 1/2 years ago and I want that project done!
I started this month with my toddler being sick, which means the rest of us are exhausted! Thankfully he's almost better and it doesn't look like anyone else caught it! And...we are getting a puppy! So that's super exciting! I've always wanted one, but DH wasn't on board. I guess the kids and I have worn him down since we went last weekend and picked one out and will pick him up this weekend!
As for the challenges, I have been falling behind on even checking them out. I've only gotten done the days that I've post my challenges and one or two others. I am hoping to finish up them all though and hoping for either prize!
As for my recent scrappy purchases...there have been way too many! I have gotten around 200 pages done over the past 2-3 months, so I kinda went crazy and bought a bunch of paper packs, stickers and pre-ordered a bunch. I did end up quitting Hip Kit for now since I haven't been using the kits up and have a backlog of those. I love them, but the amount of flowers and pink is too much for this boy mama. I'm thinking of getting the Not Just for Boys kits instead, but still holding out until I put another dent in my stash.

boymom5 - glad your little dude is better now! What type of puppy have you picked? You know you will need new scrappy products for a new puppy, right ? I've finished 5 challenges this month (2 being my own, that barely counts!): thank goodness the challenges made have reasonably generic and fit well into whichever layout I've started. My biggest challenge will be making cards for the card challenges!

Kinda sad that he won't stay small long, but he's just what my boys need and perfect for our hobby farm. And yes, we paid the down payment and I got into the car and started search dog papers and embellishments Thankfully my husband enjoys that I scrapbook our memories. I just looked over the month's challenges and I finished 7 of them. The cards are going to be difficult for me too! I am not a card maker, but I think I can be inspired by the amazing cards that have been shared!

I can't remember much about her, it was probably 45 years ago (!!!) but I do remember she was just gorgeous. And SOOOOOOO big! She also had a Keeshond at the same time, they were both show dogs IIRC. My aunty was still living at my grandparents' dairy farm at the time, so the dogs had so much room to run around.

boymom5 so exciting about the new puppy! I've been mostly working on catching up on some pocket pages so haven't really shared much online this month but it's currently raining and thundering so I might try and play along with some challenges tonight. The last thing I bought was the SC Jan kit and I've used the heck out of some it already. The alphas are nearly done (an impressive feat for me considering their alpha colours can be a bit much for my normal style), and I've used the stamp more than I thought I would. I picked it up on one of their "start a sub for $10" deals so it's been well worth the money for me.

So I've slowed down on my scrapping! Wow! Puppies are a lot more work than I had thought! Since I'm the one primarily taking care of him, I've been tired the past few days! I'm starting to finish up my two albums I've been focusing on, so now I need to get back into working on my 2019 album. I'm just not super motivated to so some of it!
How's everyone else's work going this week? Anything exciting going on in your worlds?

Oh boy, we were *not* a chatty bunch this month! My apologies for letting the Divas slide onto page 2!!! I have been trying to get a post written for the past 3 days...every morning I get something half written, and some home emergency arises (like a cat throws up. Or a college student has a panic attack. Or the garbage is not at the curb on garbage day. Or the cat knocks a full mug of coffee off the table. Or life. You know. ) And I'm off to work and no post gets written. And then when I DO get this written, I post it in the JANUARY diva chat by mistake! How is scrappy life? Do you have points to report? PM me, or leave them here. Then on March 5 if you can please let me know if you managed to finish the 29-4-29 challenges for the 50 bonus points? I got about half of my intended scrapping done this month, and I'm especially ashamed that I didn't make the 4 cards I meant to make. We have until March 5 to try and finish the 29-4-29 challenges. I realized that people are using one layout to cover multiple challenges and that made me think I can maybe finish all the challenges! I'll have to finish AussieMeg 's last sketch challenge (easy one for me, I love sketches) and the "scraplift" challenges (I have 1/4 done). So that's 4 layouts, and in those I will try to address the challenges I haven't met yet. Plus I'll have to do a few cards to meet the card challenges. Is there any part of scrapping that makes you slack off? Takes away your mojo? I *should* love making cards. Why don't I??? Why do they stress me out???

I haven't chatted much because I have spent every spare minute scrapping. I finished my last layout tonight and completed all 29. That's a HUGE amount of scrapping for a Pokey Pea. My average is 4 layouts a month. kitbop , my total for this month is 1568

Wow! That's great nylene! I'm working on it here, but still have a couple to finish up! I'll add points in a bit. I've been horrible with keeping track...I need to take pictures of the pages I complete once I'm done so I remember which pages I finished that month. I've been making 30+ lately and I can't keep track!

I did quite a bit too but haven’t added them up yet. I’m going to try to do it tomorrow. I meant to do it today but had a late crisis at work which sucked up most of my evening.
